The MouseStation Podcast
Episode 7 – February 22, 2007 – Laugh Floor & Dream Squad, plus separate MousePlanetWatch news feed
Due to your requests, we’ve decided to continue to split out the MousePlanetWatch news segment into a separate show. Our next question is whether or not we should set up a separate feed for the news. Let us know what you think of this format via email or by calling our toll-free feedback line at 1-866-939-2278.

Our Tip of the Week is to check with the cast members staffing the tip boards at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure to find out about the waits at the attractions in the other park. It will save you the trouble of walking across the Esplanade to the other park to find out how long the waits there are. This is unique to the Disneyland Resort, as the travel time between parks at Walt Disney World makes knowledge of the current wait times meaningless.
We had two featured topics this week. First up was a discussion of the design
of the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club (coming soon to the Magic Kingdom’s
Tomorrowland) featuring an interview with Imagineer Alex Wright. One of Alex’s
favorite little things hidden in the queue is the exchange of notes between
Mike Wazowski’s parents in the lower right corner of this
bulletin board. We could post a larger version of it, but we want to give
you something to look for when the attraction opens.
Imagineer Alex Wright not only worked on the design of the Monsters, Inc.
Laugh Floor Comedy Club, he’s also the author of the Imagineering Field Guide
book series. Photo by Mark Goldhaber.
Our second discussion was about the Dream Squad, featuring an interview with
Dream Squad member Susie
Lange.

This week’s Featured Attraction is the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland Park.
This week’s Review system spotlight focuses on the Animal Kingdom Lodge at Walt Disney World.
This week’s Magical Moment came from Sandie Charles from St. Augustine, Florida, who wrote to Mark about a Dream Squad member named Nancy who created an amazing experience for Sandie’s son and his family, including their terminally ill daughter. If you know Nancy, please have her contact Mark so that he can put her in touch with Sandie, who would like to thank her.

Mark is once again participating in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica event. Please check out his pledge page for more information, or to donate. If you’d rather donate to other causes supported by folks in the Disney Internet community, Deb Wills (AllEarsNet) is raising money to fight breast cancer and Lou Mongello (Disney World Trivia) is raising money for the Starlight Starbright Foundation to send terminally-ill children to Walt Disney World.
