Thanks to our sponsor

Today’s show is sponsored by Owner’s
Locker
, a new service that gives you a place to leave your vacation-only
stuff until your next trip to visit the Mouse.

This week, we mentioned that Owner’s Locker can store your stuff that doesn’t
fit into a locker, as well. Contact
John
at Owner’s Locker and he’ll figure out how much it would cost. But
if you want to keep a set of golf clubs or some other large-sized object,
it’s the way to go!

If you have any other great ideas for how to use an Owner’s Locker, if you’ve
signed up and are anticipating using your locker, or if you have already used
your locker, send us an
email
or call our voicemail and let us know what you think!

Tip of the Week

The Tip Jar was empty, so it was Mike’s turn to give a Tip. (Send
in your tip now
!)

Mike recommended that, when you first get on to your Disney Cruise Line ship,
check to see if your room is ready, then take care of any last-minute must-book
shore excursions or Palo reservations, and then head for the Beach Blanket
Buffet. That way, you can get some of the food before the buffet is picked
over.

Featured attraction

This week we look at Primeval Whirl in
Dinoland, U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which we delayed from last month
after the accident which claimed cast member Karen Price’s life.

While Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama is kind of like something that an
alien plopped down in the middle of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, because the theming
really doesn’t match anything else, it’s a fun, spinning wild mouse coaster.
However, don’t eat right before you ride or you might find out why the attraction
is nicknamed “Primeval Hurl.” It’s a C-ticket attraction, but it’s
a lot of fun.

Review system spotlight

This week we look at the Yak & Yeti Restaurant in Asia at Disney’s Animal
Kingdom. Our lone reviewer so far really likes Yak & Yeti, rating
it 5 out of five planets
. Our featured review this week is by Mr. Abominable
of Las Vegas, NV.

Mr. Abominable loved Yak & Yeti so much that he, his wife and the rest
of his party returned four days later to essentially repeat their meal, right
down to everything that they ordered the first time! Aside from the lettuce
cups appetizer; entrees including honey chicken, potstickers, tempura shrimp
and lo mein noodles; chicken fried rice and a dessert of cream cheese wontons,
the highlight of their meal was the fried green beans. They liked the appetizer
so much that they ordered more as a side dish to go with the entrees. They
also highly recommend the adult beverages, the available selection of which
subject matter expert Mr. Abominable gives a big thumbs up.

Mike thinks that they had the same bartender that he did when he ate there,
based on their description of their conversation. Considering what they ate
(and drank), it was a pretty reasonable price. Mike also remembered that he
had the honey chicken, but he almost liked the lettuce cups even more. Mark
liked his prawn chips appetizer, but the Shaoxing Steak & Shrimp was really
fabulous, and those cream cheese wontons were great, too.

Guide

Six Degrees of Disney

Back on December 17, we challenged you to play Six Degrees of Disney and
link original Mickey Mouse cartoonist Ub Iwerks with Disney’s newest princess
Amy Adams. Our only entry was from disneygirl17 (Nicole from Charlotte, NC),
and she did much better than we expected from anybody.

Nicole linked Ub with Watl Disney through Steamboat Willie, linked Walt to
Julie Andrews through Mary Poppins, then linked Julie to Amy Adams through
Enchanted. Since we both forgot the Julie Andrews link, we now challenged
everyone else to try to link Ub to Amy without using Walt or Julie. We’ll
probably disallow the use of Walt in any future linkages.

We’ll also challenge you to link Gary
Trousdale
with Ashley
Tisdale
(with bonus points for linking through Alan-A-Dale) by January
27, and we’ll read the answers on the February 4 show.

Magical Moment

This week’s moment came from listener Dianna Chamberlain.

Dianna got attend the Passholder event celebrating the 13th anniversary of
the Tower of Terror on Friday, July 13th without having a reservation. She
and her husband were able to take photos in the roped-off lobby area during
the event. They were able to ride the elevator by themselves and got a great
photo. But then they took the last ride of the night. They took one other
couple and five bellhops on the elevator with them. They obviously bought
those photos.

Mike remembered buying a photo of himself alone on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

Feedback and Other Stuff

We want to remind you about our contest to encourage you to donate to Broadway
Care/Equity Fights AIDS. Everyone that donates to the cause through Mike’s
donor page
will receive an entry into the random drawing for an “Anything
Can Happen” bookmark signed by Nicole Bocchi and Henry Hodges, who played
Jane and Michael Banks the night that Mike saw the show. The bookmark includes
a nickel-sized star that was part of a costume worn in the show during the
grand finale. The bookmark says “Mary Poppins, Broadway 2007.” You
can also see a picture of it in our show notes from November
21
. This phase of the fundraising campaign runs through December 4, so
you’ve got until then to donate. It doesn’t matter how much you give. Any
donation
will get you entered into the contest.

Send us feedback via email or by
calling our toll-free feedback line at 1-866-939-2278. Don’t forget that we
love voicemails because then we can put your voice on the show!

We’re coming up on our one-year anniversary, so we’d love to hear what changes
you’d like to hear us make in the show for our second year. It doesn’t matter
how radical the changes are, or how brutal the comments, let us hear what
you think!

Wrapping up

Please take a few minutes to complete our listener

. It helps us learn more about you and what you like most about
this podcast.

Don’t forget to go to the iTunes podcast directory and give us a good rating
for the combined
