Thanks to our sponsor

Today’s show is sponsored by Owner’s
Locker
, a new service that gives you a place to leave your vacation-only
stuff until your next trip to visit the Mouse.

This week, we read an email from Sondra, who won our first giveaway Owner’s
Locker. Sondra listed everything that she managed to fit into her locker.
At high speed, it took Mark just over two minutes to read the entire list.
Mark was impressed by how much stuff she was able to fit in there, despite
how large the lockers actually are. Mike still thinks that she needs to add
a glow cube.

If you have any other great ideas for how to use an Owner’s Locker, if you’ve
signed up and are anticipating using your locker, or if you have already used
your locker, send us an
email
or call our voicemail and let us know what you think!

Tip of the Week

This week’s Tip comes from listener Audress Johnson of Littleton, CO. (Send
in your tip now
!)

Audress recommended not getting stuck in the area behind Cinderella Castle
between the Carousel and the theater for Mickey’s PhilharMagic when watching
“Wishes.” You’re caught in a dead zone between speakers and it’s
a very poor angle to watch the fireworks from, especially if it’s your first
time.

Mike and Mark both recommend that, if you’re going to watch “Wishes,”
you’re better off near – or better yet, on – Dumbo.

Featured attraction

This week we look at The American Adventure
in the pavilion of the same name at Epcot’s World Showcase.

Mark and Mike both highly recommend this show, both as a fabulous attraction
to watch and as a cool, dark place that’s great for a nap. The Animatronics
are great, and the mechanism to get everything to where it’s supposed to be
is amazingly impressive. If you take the 7-plus-hour Backstage
Magic
tour, currently running around $200, one of the first things that
you do is to go backstage under the American Adventure, and you get to see
the “war wagon,” which moves everything into place, raising and
lowering animatronics and set pieces.

Guess That Character!

This week we bypassed the Review System Spotlight to bring back another one
of our test subjects.

Mark wanted to cut Mike back to 15 questions because he didn’t think that
Mike would need all 20, but Mike wanted all 20 questions. As it turned out,
despite getting the movie within the first five questions, it took Mike 16
questions to get to Alan-A-Dale from Robin Hood. Mark had figured that
Mike would guess Alan-A-Dale easily once he had the movie because we’re giving
bonus points on the Six Degrees of Disney challenge that we issued last
week
for getting from Gary Trousdale to Ashley Tisdale through Alan-A-Dale.

Ask the Kid

This week’s question comes from listener Chip Joyce. Chip asks: “What
do you think is the scariest, creepiest, or weirdest Audio Animatronic figure
in all of Walt Disney World? Looking forward to your answer!” Mark’s
son was all over the place in trying to come up with an answer, and eventually
came up with the pirate with the hairy leg as the weirdest and Uh-Oa from
the new Tiki Room as the scariest.

Magical Moment

This week’s moment came from listener Vance Cope.

Vance and his wife had a magical experience with a waiter and a manager at
Mama Melrose’s at the Studios, followed by another dose of magic with another
cast member right after they had left the restaurant. Both experiences involved
different versions of the Year of a Million Dreams Tinker Bell pin.

Feedback and Other Stuff

Send us feedback via email or by
calling our toll-free feedback line at 1-866-939-2278. Don’t forget that we
love voicemails because then we can put your voice on the show!

We’re coming up on our one-year anniversary, so we’d love to hear what changes
you’d like to hear us make in the show for our second year. It doesn’t matter
how radical the changes are, or how brutal the comments, let us hear what
you think!

Wrapping up

Please take a few minutes to complete our listener

. It helps us learn more about you and what you like most about
this podcast.

Don’t forget to go to the iTunes podcast directory and give us a good rating
for the combined
