Tip of the Week
This week’s Tip of the Week comes from listener Scott Ferraioli, who recommends asking to be in Row 1 when riding Soarin’ because otherwise you get people’s legs dangling in front of you.
Mark would go even further, suggesting that you ask for B1. That’s the middle section of the top row. When he goes with first-timers, he’s always willing to wait for the next trip to let them have their first experience in the best seats. Section A is to the left side and section C is to the right side. (Of course, if you’re Kim Howe, then A3 would be the lucky seat.)
Then Mark and Mike got sidetracked and talked about never winning anything from Year of a Million Dreams, then Mark ended up talking about his entire schedule from his research trip (in exhaustive detail) to show that he did do some things that would put him in places to win something on his research trip.
The Meets
We ran the audio from the MousePlanet/MouseStation meets that Mark hosted during his trip last month.

We found out some interesting things at the meet, like the fact that Alex Navarro is (by now) in training to become a monorail pilot. Katrina once met AVP, Mox and other MousePlanet staffers back in October, but didn’t know what they were there for. Mark couldn’t remember either, though by now he has recalled that they were probably down there for the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 6.5K/13K races last year.
Side note to Shawnie (IslandDisneyGirl): the macadamias were delicious! It’s amazing how they taste when they’re fresh from Hawaii instead of waiting for them to sit on shelves and eventually get shipped to the mainland before sitting on store selves.

Our Disney
This week, Corey from New Orleans caled in to say that he’d like to see a Narnia land built in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom.
Mark doesn’t think that it’s a bad suggestion, but noted that Mr. Lincoln wasn’t drawing huge crowds before he was replaced at Disneyland. Mike didn’t have a strong opinion either way.
Ask the Kid
This week, Randy Knickerbocker asked Mark’s son: If you could have an audio animatronic figure of yourself put in a Disneyworld ride, which one would you pick and what would it look like?
After a few dried-out degrees Mark’s son decided that he wanted to be an Animatronic on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Magical Moment
This week’s Magical Moment also comes in a voicemail from listener Kim Barron. (Send in your moment now!)
Kim called in to say that her Magical Moment of a feeling of inclusion in the online Disney community all began when Mark interviewed her during MouseFest 2006 for the old Magical Moment Podcast. The best part, though, was for us to hear that she’s nearly two years cancer free!
