Thanks to our sponsor

Today’s show is sponsored by Owner’s Locker, a great service that gives you a place to leave your vacation-only stuff until your next trip to visit the Mouse.

For those that aren’t familiar with the Owner’s Locker service, we went through it yet again.

Also, if you have any great ideas for how to use an Owner’s Locker, if you’ve signed up and are anticipating using your locker, or if you have already used your locker, send us an email or call our voicemail and let us know what you think!

Tip of the Week

This week’s Tip of the Week comes from listener Brian of Riverside CA, who said that he was able to get Fastpasses for Space Mountain and Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin at the same time.

Mark noted that there are a few machines at the Disneyland Resort that are not connected to the central system, and that Roger Rabbit is one of them. You can go to mouseplanet.com/fastpass for everything that you ever wanted to know about Fastpasses and then some, though the entire list of “standalone” Fastpass machines is Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, Grizzly River Run and Haunted Mansion Holiday (seasonal). There are no standalone Fastpass machines at Walt Disney World, though you can get passes for different parks within the window of getting one at another park.

(What’s your opinion?)

Featured Attraction

This week we look at the Flights of Wonder in Asia at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Mark talked about the location of the show and streesed that the show focuses on using natural behaviors.

Mike said that it’s run by the same company that runs the bird shows at most U.S. zoos.

Both Mark and Mike agree that it’s well worth the time.

At the Station

Where IS the Kuh? We’ll have to wait for the next comic from Sean. Meanwhile, click on the strip for a larger image.

Don’t forget that we’ve set up a page dedicated to archiving all of the “@ The Station” strips to make it easy for you to find them.

Planning Mike’s Wedding

Mike talked about the use of clergy aboard the Disney Cruise Line. Cruise weddings are not performed by the captain, but rather by a member of the clergy. You can bring your own priest/rabbi/imam/whatever or you can choose one from a list of available Bahamian clergy provided by Disney.

Ask the Kid

This week, Emily in California called the voicemail line to ask Mark’s son: If you had to choose a Disney princess to go to a ball, who would it be and why?

Mark’s son had a bit of trouble answering that question, as he’s nine years old and he’s “too young” to be a big princess fan. He does like dancing, but not ballroom – more like hip-hop, tap or jazz, so he’d go to a ball but do a different type of dancing, without a princess, noting “Did I mention I was 9?” He wouldn’t take Giselle because he’s not Prince Edward.

Magical Moment

Mary Tesch, from Seymour, WI, wrote in to tell us about taking her 5-year-old son to Mickey’s Pirate & Princess Party. In order to prove that he was a good pirate and not a bad pirate, he gave her and Snow White nice kisses on the cheek and Snow White gave him one in return, in indelible lipstick. Then she asked Mark whether he thought that Mark’s son would get his photo taken with princesses.

Mark answered in the negative, referring Mary to today’s Ask the Kid segment.
