Thanks to our sponsor
Today’s show is sponsored by Owner’s Locker, a great service that gives you a place to leave your vacation-only stuff until your next trip to visit the Mouse.
The cost of an Owner’s Locker isn’t quite as high when you think about the per-bag fees that many airlines are now charging. It’s a risk-free trial, so why not give it a try? Mike is preparing to say goodbye to his locker this week, while Mark will be visiting his locker in a week and a half.
Also, if you have any great ideas for how to use an Owner’s Locker, if you’ve signed up and are anticipating using your locker, or if you have already used your locker, send us an email or call our voicemail and let us know what you think!
Tip of the Week
This week’s Tip of the Week comes from Carol K. from Oak Forest, IL, who recommends using baby wipes for just about everything that you might experience in your trip to the parks. It’s not the first time that we’ve had a baby wipe-related tip, but since it appears to be such a popular topic, we ran the topic again.
Mark and Mike have also carried baby wipes in the park and used them for all sorts of reasons. Hand sanitizer is a related item carried by many.

Featured Attraction
This week we look at SpectroMagic at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
Mark really loves the parade, while Mike lost his affection for the parade while working many shifts on parade audience control. Mike just can’t stand the parade music any more.
Mike and Mark also touched on the fact that SpectroMagic will not run from August 15-29 while the Liberty Square bridge is replaced. However, we recorded the show before Mark found out about the real parade route for the twice-a-day running of the Disney Dreams Come True Parade, which will not run back to the big gate at Mickey’s Toontown Fair but will instead go up to the hub, turn around, and go back down Main Street to the parade float barn.
@ the Station
This week, we’ve finally got Part 4, the conclusion of the ongoing series featuring the invasion of the MouseStation by Emperor Zurg.
Will Zurg permanently join the boys, or is he a one-and-gone character? While we wait, click on the strip for a larger image.
This week, the Kid, Rex and WALL-E found a way to beat Zurg, only to fin out that he’s just horribly misunderstood.
This will be the last strip that we will dramatize on the show.
Don’t forget that we’ve set up a page dedicated to archiving all of the “@ The Station” strips to make it easy for you to find them.
Review System Spotlight
This week we look at Jiko – The Cooking Place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Our MousePlanet readers really like Jiko, rating it 4.2 out of five planets. Our featured review this week is by Chicago Wookiee of Chicago, IL.
Chicago Wookiee had a good meal, though some things were only so-so.
Mark hasn’t eaten at Jiko, so he left the review to Mike. Mike loves pretty much everything about Jiko. He hasn’t been to the restaurant since Chef Anette Grecchi Gray left, so he’s hoping that everything remains as good as it was.
You can also find Jiko in our Park Guide.
Last Week on MousePlanet
We continued our experiment in telling you what you may have missed on the MousePlanet site last week if you’re not visiting regularly, with Andrew Rich down at MousePlanet Global Headquarters. Let us know what you think about this segment!
Listener Feedback
Kim Barron called in to tell us about MagicMeets. She also gave us some support on cutting back to two shows each week. She hopes that we can make it to MagicMeets next year, and she’s still hoping to be able to make it to MouseFest this year. She also took a stand for Nemo against Simba.
Kris Montee wrote in to support our cutting back to two shows, but wished that we didn’t get rid of the news segment. She especially enjoys the Disneyland Resort news, but plans to check out the MousePlanet web site to read the Update instead. Mark noted that we’re still planning to find a way to fit the news back into the show, either alternating with short subjects or as part of short subjects.
