Thanks to our sponsor
Today’s show is sponsored by Owner’s Locker, a great service that gives you a place to leave your vacation-only stuff until your next trip to visit the Mouse.
We’ve been able to talk John Van Meter into both extending and enhancing the Owner’s Locker Free Starter Kit promotion, exclusively for MousePlanet readers and MouseStation listeners! From now through April 30, when you select “I Heard About it on MousePlanet” in the “How did you hear about Owner’s Locker?” drop-down box, Owner’s Locker will send you a shopping list and you can choose up to $50 worth of items to be in your locker when it’s first delivered for free! If you’d like something that’s not on the list, you can contact them and they’ll work it out with you. This is a great way to both get your big purple storage locker and possibly avoid that first-day shopping trip at the same time!
If you signed up for your locker during the first month of the promotion, don’t worry! We’ve gotten John to agree to give you a $50 shopping spree, as well!
Also, if you have any great ideas for how to use an Owner’s Locker, if you’ve signed up and are anticipating using your locker, or if you have already used your locker, send us an email or call our voicemail and let us know what you think!
Tip of the Week
This week’s Tip of the Week comes from listener Dave in San Francisco (who attended the Las Vegas meet last weekend), who recommends wearing moisture-wicking clothing to help to keep you cool in the summer heat at the parks. It also helps you to dry off more quickly after riding Splash Mountain and the other wet attractions. (Send in your own tip now!)
You can find moisture-wicking clothing at your local sporting goods store. Mark may try that tip out on his August trip.
Mike also recommends wearing a moisture-wicking shirt under a suit. Mark doesn’t see much need for wearing a suit at Disney, aside from going to Victoria & Albert’s, but Mike feels that he might in some situations.
Stump the Hosts
Listener (and MousePlanet columnist) Steve Russo was back with another attempt to stump us. He suggested that we either ask other listeners try to stump us, as well, or perhaps bring the listeners into competition trying to answer the stumping question.
Steve’s question this week: “True or False? The mosaic mural in the fourth-floor lobby of Disney’s Contemporary Resort contains a goat with 6 legs.”
The goat in question is the one on the top right in the MousePlanet file photo. We’ll have to get a better one in the future.
Around the Station
This week, the Kid joined Mike and Mark as their sleep patterns were interrupted by a strange hybrid of classic Disney attraction host and Star Wars Weekends regular.
We promise that Vader will be back down from the MouseStation in time for Star Wars Weekends in June. Click on the strip for a larger image.
Once Mike figured out the time warp surrounding our recording in advance, he said that it was great meeting Sean over a week ago. We’ll have actual post-meet discussion after he gets back.
When he did the script, Sean didn’t realize that Mark has experience imitating the Ghost Host.

We’ve now set up a page dedicated to archiving all of the “@ The Station” strips to make it easy for you to find them. We’ve got three more from Sean already that you haven’t seen yet, and they just keep getting better!
Ask the Kid
This week’s question came from Eric Davis, from MousePlanet sponsor Orlando Fun Tickets, who asked Mark’s son “If you could live on any ride or attraction at Disney World where would you live and why?”
Mark’s son decided to go for an attraction that he could fall asleep on if he wanted. Of course, it also happened to be his favorite attraction, as well. He was worried, though, what happens to people who really do fall asleep in attractions. Mark will have to make sure that he gets to try out napping (or fighting the nap) at Hall of Presidents or the American Adventure during their August trip.
Magical Moment
This week’s Magical Moment comes from listener Mary Tesch. (Send in your moment now!)
Mary and her husband went to Walt Disney World shortly after announcing that they were expecting their first child. A friend of theirs found out where they were planning to eat and – without their knowledge – arranged to pay for their dinner at the Coral Reef Restaurant. Interesting, it’s now one of her daughter’s favorite restaurants.
Mike also recommends using the Walt Disney World Florist to help make magic for your friends during their visit.
