Owner’s Locker. Why bring all that stuff back and forth, when you can leave it at Disney and have it waiting for you when you come back?

Tip of the Week

Dave in San Francisco wrote in to recommend trying what he refers to as “Lunchtime Disney Resort Roulette” to pick a non-park place to have lunch, getting on a random bus to pick out a new resort to have lunch at.

Mark thought that it was a really neat idea, and may try it at his next opportunity. Mike has actually done that, back when he was a cast member, but hasn’t done it since then.

(What’s your opinion?)

Featured Attraction

This week we look at the Pangani Falls Exploration Trail at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The trail, which was once known as the “Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail,” is really nice, with the gorillas eing the headline attraction. However, the meerkats, naked mole rats and other animals are also of great interest.

Review System Spotlight

This week we take a look at the Behind the Seeds Tour at Epcot’s Land pavilion. MousePlanet readers really love it, rating it 4.5 out of five planets. Our featured review this week, is by sbmmickey of Athens, GA.

Sharla really enjoyed the tour, and thought it was well worth the money spent.

Mike and Mark think that they may have to take this tourwhen they get a chance.

Ask the Kid

This week’s question comes from Stuart Sternberg, who asks: “Hi Kid, Your dad and Mike put on a great show and sometimes my daughter will borrow my ipod and listen to the podcast and of course, her favorite segment is ‘Ask the Kid’. Which brings me to my question, if you had your own podcast what are some of the things you would talk about?”

The Kid thought that maybe it could be a different segment every week, something like roller coaster of the week. He was thinking about covering all coasters, not just Disney. For a Disney podcast, he thought that he could go with “moment of the week” or “scene of the week” (just as a segment, not the whole show).

You can submit your own question for The Kid.

MouseFest Moment

Rather than doing a big show compiling a whole bunch of short interviews Mike did during MouseFest, we’re going to string them out for a few months as an extra segment on our Monday show.

This week, Mike talks with Big Brian Martsolf of the Mousin’ It Up Podcast at PodFest.

Brian has been podcasting since 2006, when the Cars world premiere came to Charlotte, NC. He figured that he could go and share the experience with everyone.

He loves MouseFest and being able to share in all things Disney with other Disney fans. He has been coming to MouseFest since the second one back in 2004. The highlight of his trip so far is the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue.

Mark and Mike both enjoy hanging out with Bran, and Mike took his first-ever ride on Toy Story Midway Mania with Brian (who also was taking hist first-ever trip.

Last Week on MousePlanet

Andrew Rich, down at MousePlanet Global Headquarters told you what you may have missed on the MousePlanet site last week if you’re not visiting regularly.

Listener Feedback

Mike Hamilton, from the Disney Podcast Directory, wrote in that he and his wife use safety tattoos to help make sure that their kids don’t get lost in the park.

Andrew Rich wrote to confirm that the Disneyland Resort guide is correct and that Disneyland’s Pooh is celebrating Winnie the Pooh’s birthday..

Kelly Z. wrote in asking why we don’t host a kid-focused podcast. Not only would it benefit the younger crowd, but would also help their parents in considering what expectations thier kids have of a Disney vacation. Mark and Mike thought it was definitely a great idea. We’ll let you know if we decide to move ahead with it.

Kevin Peace wrote to let us know that the “Lion King” will be shown at the Mandalay Bay for an indefinite time frame starting this year, and he thought that maybe we could use this information for our the subjects show. Las Vegas shows are frequently shortened from their Broadway incarnations. If you get a chance to see the Vegas version, drop us a line and let us know what you think!

Steven added to our list of rabbits in Disney movies by reminding us about Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh, and wondering whether Bugs Bunny (in Roger Rabbit) counts.

Amy from Bloomington, MN gave us some additional rabbits in Disney films that we hadn’t mentioned yet: Rabbit in Winnie the Pooh (again) and the Rabbit family in Robin Hood: Mother Rabbit, Sis, Tagalong, and Skippy..

March of Dimes

Mark has gotten an early start on raising funds for the March of Dimes! Last year, MousePlanet readers and MouseStation listeners helped Mark to raise over $5,000 for the worthy charity. We’re looking to beat that this year and raise $6,000! Just go to Mark’s fundraising page and help to provide a better chance to prevent prematurity and to help those babies that are born prematurely.
