Tip of the Week
Today’s tip is comes via Twitter from Tracey Morris of the Disney, Indiana Podcast, who suggests that write your name/cell# on your Photopass card(s) & take a photo of the number just in case it gets lost.
Featured Attraction
This week we look at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Review System Spotlight
This week we take a look at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. MousePlanet readers really like it, rating it 4.4 out of five planets. Our featured review this week is by TheRASGuy of New Jersey.
While TheRASGuy was not thrilled with being able to hear honeymooners in a nearby room, everything else was wonderful and the Grand Floridian easily earned a 5-planet rating.
You can also find the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in our Park Guide.
MouseAdventure at Walt Disney World, November 14
Don’t forget that registration is now open for MouseAdventure Walt Disney World! Get your team ready and register now!
Also, don’t forget to sign up for the MouseAdventure Newsletter, which will keep you informed as more details about MouseAdventure and the MouseAdventure on the High Seas cruise are announced!
Last Week on MousePlanet
Andrew Rich, down at MousePlanet Global Headquarters told you what you may have missed on the MousePlanet site last week if you’re not visiting regularly.
Listener Feedback
Beth wanted to know when she can make room reservations for Bay Lake Tower for a trip next June.
Damian Mucaro wanted to know if we have any contact information for Paul Collins and Jammitors so that he could send them video of his son and see if they needed another member of the group. Mark suggested that they might want to start contacting the Jammitors through Guest Relations.
Andrew Rich did a little research about the started-but-never-finished walking path from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Disney’s Animal Kingdom that Mike mentioned in Episode 311. Andrew found that, according to Google Maps, it’s a two-mile drive but only a 0.9 mile walk along existing roads; with the longer drive being due to a U-turn. Andrew included links for both paths: Walking, Driving.
Kristen Lopez asked us to give a shout-out to the Midnight Matinee Podcast.
Cami Henderson wrote in for the first time to note that she and her husband always drive their SUV to Walt Disney World from North Carolina, and they leave their laptop in the covered section of their car because they know that if something were to happen to it, it would be covered by their insurance. Mark noted that it’s not always so much getting a lost or stolen laptop replaced as it is losing your (possibly confidential and/or irreplaceable) data and being out of business while you wait for a replacement laptop to arrive.
Joel Schware noted that DisneyQuest is failing both types of people that it appeals to – those looking for the “latest and greatest” in virtual reality and video games, and adults looking for “retro” fun, including old video games and carnival type attractions.
March of Dimes
Mark’s walk for the March of Dimes went well, though he did not make his goal. MousePlanet readers and MouseStation listeners made up more than half of the non-Mark-contributed money – thanks so much! The donations page should remain active through the end of the month, so you there’s still time to donate, if you’d like. Just go to Mark’s fundraising page and help to provide a better chance to prevent prematurity and to help those babies that are born prematurely.
