Tip of the Week

This week’s tip comes via Facebook from Steve Kiskamp, who notes that first timers seeing Illuminations should be aware that paid-for prime seating is not as important as being upwind when the show starts!

Mark recalled one instance of being downwind and having shrapnel from the show fall on the people at the meet he was attending.

Featured Attraction

This week, to commemorate the Toontown attractions that will be demolished to make way for the New Fantasyland project, we look at Mickey’s Country House , Minnie’s Country House and Donald’s Boat at Mickey’s Toontown Fair at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

Review System Spotlight

This week we take a look at the Crystal Palace Restaurant at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. MousePlanet readers love it, rating it 4.1 out of five planets. Our featured review this week is by DVCmom of Alabama.

While the meal took quite a while, DVCmom and her family had a great time and loved the food, prompting them to give it a 5-planet rating.

Mark talked at length about some of his experiences at Crystal Palace.

You can also find the Crystal Palace Restaurant in our Park Guide.

Last Week on MousePlanet

Andrew Rich, down at MousePlanet Global Headquarters told you what you may have missed on the MousePlanet site last week if you’re not visiting regularly.

Listener Feedback

Shawn from Riverside called the feedback line to tell us that his brother went to all four days of the D23 Expo and said that each day was his best day ever. They went together on the last day of the Expo, saw the Muppets and took lots of photos, leading his brother to break into tears of happiness. He recommended that everyone that attended the Expo should call the voicemail line to say how much fun you had. Shawn thought that it was a blast and that it was worth the money.

Jon Shain called to congratulate Mike on his wedding. He thought that it was great that Mark was best man. Jon thought that the cake was really cool and classy, but not too over the top. He thanked Mike for sharing details of the wedding, and loved how Mike & Kayla worked Disney details into the wedding. Jon also thanked both of us for the hard work we both put in. Jon plans to donate to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County in honor of us, and also will donate to the March of Dimes when Mark does the March for Babies next spring, as a way to celebrate Mike’s wedding and thank us for the hard work. We thank Jon for his generosity. If you would like to donate to those causes, you can donate to Team MousePlanet’s CHOC Walk efforts here. Mark will post a link to his March of Dimes fundraising page in January.
