Tip of the Week
This week’s tip comes via Twitter from Sharla Manglass, who suggests that, when you’re staying on property, use the wake up calls rather than an alarm clock because a Disney character will be on the other end of the line.
Steven and Mark discussed various wake-up strategies while at the parks. Mark also did a poor imitation of the Stitch wake-up call. After Steven remarked about how long it had been since he had come East, they decided that Steven needed to make another trip back to Walt Disney World.
Featured Attraction
This week, we look at Gadget’s Go-Coaster at Disneyland Park’s Toontown. Mark likened Gadget’s character in Chip and Dale’s Rescue Rangers to Q in the James Bond series. He also compared Gadget’s Go-Coaster to Goofy’s Barnstormer. Mark and Steven also debated the location of the various attractions in the back half of Toontown.
Review System Spotlight
This week we take a look at Pizza Oom Mow Mow at Disney’s California Adventure. MousePlanet readers sort of like it, rating it 3.4 out of five planets. Our featured review this week is by backsthepack of Goodyear, AZ.
backsthepack was impressed by the size of the slices of the pizza and, while not the best pizza in the world, it was good enough to get the place a 4-planet rating.
After much discussion about Pizza Oom Mow Mow and an attempt to compare it to Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port, they decided that Mark needed to make another trip to Disneyland.
You can also find Pizza Oom Mow Mow in our Park Guide.

Listener Feedback
Jim in RI (back from a one year stint as Jim in Western MA) wrote that he thinks that one possible way to keep the interest of boys in the princess- and fairy-intensive New Fantasyland would be to introduce characters from the Kingdom Hearts series of video games.
Stuart Sternberg weighed in on Mark’s concern about the impending demise of Mickey and Minnie’s Country Houses. Stuart’s 13-year-old daughter also hoped that the houses would survive, but she was excited to hear about all of the changes. Mark suggested that it might make a great topic for Stuart’s Disney Geek Dad blog.
Dean from New York City called in to the show quite a bit during his trip. We brought you most of Day 4 on today’s show. The rest of Day 4 and Day 5 will close out Dean’s trip next week. The key point out of Dean’s voicemails is that he joined Mark on Team Nemo. Sorry, Simba-boy … er … Mike. Somehow, they ended up talking about the characters from The Black Cauldron, and Mark forgot the name of Hen Wen the pig.
