Tip of the Week
This week’s tip comes via Twitter from listener Cindy Brandt, who suggests that if there’s something wrong at Disney, tell someone! Disney can’t fix it if they don’t know about it.
If you do need to contact Disney after you’ve already left, you can send it to wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com
Featured Attraction
This week, we look at Matsuriza at Epcot’s Japan pavilion.
Mark and his wife have enjoyed watching the young girl in this family grow up into a young woman over the years.
Review System Spotlight
This week we take a look at the Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. MousePlanet readers absolutely love it, rating it 5.0 out of five planets. Our featured review this week is by Jodieileen6 of Mechanicsburg, OH.
Jodieileen6’s family had a wonderful breakfast on the first day of their trip. They enjoyed it so much that they gave it a 5-planet rating.
You can also find the Grand Floridian Cafe in our Park Guide.
Magical Moment
This week’s Magical Moment came in an email from Jessica B. Jessica planned a 6-day, 5-night trip for her and three friends, and it turned out to be one of those rare trips where everything went perfectly. From the very experienced day-trippers to the Disney rookie among them, they all had a wonderful time.
Last Week on MousePlanet
Steven Ng, sitting in for Andrew Rich, down at MousePlanet Global Headquarters recapped what you may have missed on the MousePlanet site last week if you’re not visiting regularly.
Listener Feedback
Stuart Sternberg commented via Twitter that he really enjoyed last Thursday’s show and it was good to hear Mike back on the show. Mark and Mike are also glad that Mike is back.
Cami Henderson commented via Mark’s Facebook page that she is not happy about the new Wine & Dine Run, and would have preferred that Disney had left the Tower of Terror 13K and 5K races.
Patrick asked via email whether there was any way to check what entitlements remain on some old Walt Disney World “no expiration” tickets either at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, Disneyland, or the Orlando International Airport. Mark and Mike agreed that his best shot is probably at the EarPort or other Disney store at the Orlando airport. If they can’t do it, he’ll have to try to detour to Walt Disney World between the airport and Vero Beach.
Paul wondered via email which attractions have features or effects that are no longer running. He specifically cited: the jeep full of poachers that shoots at you during the chase at the end of Kilimanjaro Safaris; the smell of the burp from the herbivore dinosaur on the Dinosaur attraction; and the crashing car just before the barrier test at Test Track. One effect that he thought was gone but came back was the gangster car racing out of the shadows on the Great Movie Ride, thogh he wondered about the Alien popping out at the ride vehicle on the same attraction.
Mark also noted that the Yeti at Expedition Everest reportedly spends much of his time in “B” mode these days. What other non-working effects can you think of? Let us know!
Come out and play with MousePlanet!Join us on November 15 in Epcot or at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas PartyIf you’re going to be at Walt Disney World the weekend after Veterans Day but won’t be playing MouseAdventure, you’ll still have a chance to attend a MousePlanet meet! You can meet Mark Goldhaber for some chocolate mousse at Boulangerie Patisserie at Epcot’s France pavilion at 1:00 p.m. That evening, there’ll be another meet at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Meet Mark Goldhaber at the Tomorrowland entrance to the Rose Garden about 15 minutes before the Holiday Wishes nighttime spectacular.
