Thanks to our sponsor
Today’s show is sponsored by Owner’s Locker, a great service that gives you a place to leave your vacation-only stuff until your next trip to visit the Mouse.
The Owner’s Locker Free Starter Kit promotion, exclusively for MousePlanet readers and MouseStation listeners has now ended. However, you can still get a risk-free membership with Owner’s Locker. Sign up for membership, and if you decide that you don’t want your locker before the end of your first trip, you can get your money back! And don’t forget to say that you heard about them from MousePlanet in the drop-down box on the first sign-up page.
Mark is looking forward to seeing his locker again. He was using the locker inventory function on the Owner’s Locker web site to figure out what he already had in Florida that he didn’t have to bring down with him.
Also, if you have any great ideas for how to use an Owner’s Locker, if you’ve signed up and are anticipating using your locker, or if you have already used your locker, send us an email or call our voicemail and let us know what you think!
Tip of the Week
This week’s Tip of the Week comes from listener John Papas, who reminds us that if you need a Disney character fix while you’re in New York City, you can visit the World of Disney store at 5th Avenue and 55th Street. They have characters on hand every day except Tuesday and Wednesday. You can check to see which characters are visiting the store at this page. (Send in your own tip now! The tip jar is empty, so we need your tips now!)
Mike tried to visit the characters when he was in New York City, but the line was too long.
Mark noted that they have Photopass photographers on hand so you can buy your photo when you get home.
Our Disney
This week, Bill Aiken said that he’d like to see some changes to the countries around World Showcase at Epcot. He thinks that it might bring a fresh feel to the Showcase. Mark thinks that, rather than changing any of the countries, he’d love to see them make use of all of the unoccupied pads that are available for new pavilions. You can see the empty spaces if you zoom in and move around the map below.
Mark also noted that Bill’s email indicated that he and his family will be arriving at Walt Disney World on May 17, so Mark invited them to join the podcast meet.
At the Station
This week, we had a very special episode of At the Station. In fact, it should prove to be life-changing for Mike.
This is no joke. It is, in fact, very serious. Click on the strip for a larger image.
Mike has indeed asked his girlfriend Nora to marry him, and she did say yes. We hope to have the acceptance in next week’s segment.
Don’t forget that we’ve set up a page dedicated to archiving all of the “@ The Station” strips to make it easy for you to find them.
Planning Mike’s Wedding
This is a brand-new segment on the show, as we follow Nora and Mike’s efforts in planning their Disney Fairytale Wedding. They are getting married on Castaway Cay, so Mike has finally found a way to get Mark onto a Disney Cruise (which excited Mark’s son quite a bit).
This week, Mike talked a little bit about how to get started in planning a Disney Fairytale Wedding, and the difficulty he ran into in getting a Disney consultant to actually call him back. He then talked about some of the financial benefits to him and Nora of having the wedding on the Disney Cruise Line, since all food is already included in the price of the cruise.
Ask the Kid
This week, Joey in Tucson asked Mark’s son: If you could design a brand-new Roger Rabbit ride or other attraction of some sort, what would it be like? Would it be based on a scene in the movie or would it be something completely new?
Mark’s son .would probably base it on the movie, specifically the scene where Benny almost runs into a bridge until Eddie pulls the lever. In the meantime, it seems that he is busy creating a homemade short film called “IndyRabbit Jones,” using stuffed animals.
Magical Moment
This week’s Magical Moment comes from listener Susan Smith. (Send in your moment now!)
Susan and her husband were visiting Disneyland for their 13th anniversary, staying at the Disneyland Hotel. They started off by winning admission to the Dream Time at Disneyland event that night while exiting Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. When they went back to the Disneyland Hotel to check in, they got a free upgrade to a suite as the “Magical Family of the Day.” When they got back to the park, someone that had won a dream Fastpass but was not using it gave it to them.
Mark and Mike then lamented that fact that neither of them has won so much as a pair of ears.

Wrapping up
On Sunday, Mark walked to raise money for the March of Dimes for the third time. While the walk is over, you can still support him. The March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
