Special Report

Mark presented a special report on the fatal monorail crash that occurred early Sunday morning. For text explanations and images, see Mark’s original blog post, the special Sunday breaking news story or Monday’s Park Update.

Tip of the Week

Today’s tip is comes via Twitter from Kipp Wade, via Tracey Morris, who suggested taking a digital photo of the end of the row you parked in so that you can easily to refer back to it to find your car at the end of the day.

Mark and Mike discussed some other ways to help remind yourself where you parked.

(What’s your opinion?)

Last Week on MousePlanet

Andrew Rich, down at MousePlanet Global Headquarters told you what you may have missed on the MousePlanet site last week if you’re not visiting regularly.

Listener Feedback

Stuart Sternberg wrote in to suggest an idea for a new segment to be called “Are You Smarter Than A Cast Member.” Mark and Mike will consider it for a future show. He also called in with a Barney imitation. Our listeners are getting stranger and stranger.

Joey in Tucson called the feedback line to correct us on misstatements that we made when we talked about Star Tours back in Episode 307. Mark had mentioned that the attraction was sponsored by Energizer because he was reading from the Park Guide, though Energizer had dropped sponsorship a while back. The Park Guide has been updated. Joey also stated that Mark’s comment that George Lucas has a cameo in the film is a myth, and that the man that everyone thinks is Lucas is actually a model maker named Ira Keeler. Joey did not include the promised link to the history of the ride at StarWars.com, but Mark found it anyway, and it does include confirmation that Ira Keeler is the man in the film that most people think is George Lucas.

Dana sent in a couple of emails, first noting that she loves PhotoPass but was upset that there was no cheaper pricing for those with fewer photos on their disk. The second one asked where to find the advance purchase discount on the PhotoPass Web site. The discount can be found here.
