Tip of the Week
Today’s tip is comes via email from Sue Coppola, who suggested in unusual way of beating the heat: scooping up ice and holding it in your hands until your hands get really cold, which will in turn cool your body..
Featured Attraction
This week we look at the Studios Backlot Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Mark compared it to the original Backlot tour, and Mike noted disappointment, as well.
Review System Spotlight
This week we take a look at both of the Port Orleans Resorts. MousePlanet readers like them, rating them 4.0 out of five planets. Our featured reviews this week are by mickeymom5 of North Carolina and Ripley68 of Huntsville, AL.
mickeymom5 had a great time at Port Orleans French Quarter, staying in Building #3. The room was a bit beat up, but otherwise everything was great, earning the resort 4 planets. Ripley68 stayed at Port Orleans Riverside, staying in Magnolia Bend at Parterre Place (9757). Difficulties with mousekeeping led to the resort getting only 3 planets.
You can also find both Port Orleans Resorts in our Park Guide (French Quarter and Riverside).

Listener Feedback
Mary Tesch wrote in about her recent trip to Walt Disney World. Crowds were so bad during Extra Magic Hours that they ended up changing their strategy to avoid the EMH parks.
She passed along a magical moment where her 9-year-old son was selected to be the curtain caller at Flights of Wonder, and got a certificate and front row seating for the family.
She thanked Mark for his comments on Cape May Cafe, as she and her family had a wonderful dinner there. However, their best meal was at the Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They had a great time, and the staff was very helpful in celebrating her brother’s belated birthday.
She noted that the two most fun parts of her trip were meeting Mark at his meet in the Magic Kingdom and getting to hear Tony Orlando at the Flower Power concert series.
Jeff Klosterman noted (via Facebook) that he feels that there is too much Stitch in the parks. Jeff feels that Stitch is not a good character.
Bill Aiken wrote in on many subjects. He agrees that Stitch is being overused in the parks. He suggested that Disney utilize more characters from more different movies. Bill ranks the Soarin’ ride vehicle above the Spaceship Earth omnimovers in the list of ride vehicles. He also wanted to comment on the Pop Century Resort.
Vance Cope called the feedback line to tell us about his experience on the Disney Cruise Line, and recommended that everyone try it even if it means skipping Walt Disney World one year.
Bob Becker wrote in with his Top 3 list for the Studios and Magic Kingdom, and again it seems that his list is more top 3 attractions rather than top 3 ride vehicles.
