
Disney’s partnership with Formula 1 racing will be extended through 2028, it was announced today during a media preview of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim.
As part of the collaboration, and to commemorate the upcoming 20th anniversary of Disney and Pixar’s “Cars”, Lightning McQueen will debut an all new livery at the FORMULA 1® GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA in Monza this September.

The future of this collaboration belongs to those fans, and our goal is to continue building moments that celebrate their passion.”

Fans attending D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim have the first opportunity to see and shop the Disney and Pixar’s Cars Collection with Formula 1® in person. The collection features jackets, sweatshirts, tees and caps, as well as Disney Store exclusives.

The collection will debut first at the at the Disney Store booth at the convention, as well as on DisneyStore.com starting at 9:00 a.m. on August 14. Select items will be available through the Formula 1® Official Online Store starting August 27, as well as at at the Formula 1® Gran Premio D’Italia 2026 in Monza this September.

Following a record-breaking auction, which raised over $200K for Make-A-Wish International, Disney has commissioned a second custom Mickey Mouse inspired Bell Racing helmet.
