Effective Wednesday, October 9, Disneyland has raised the price of single-day park tickets by as much as 6.5% depending on when you visit, with the most expensive one-day ticket breaking $200 for the first time ever. Multi-day tickets also went up 6.5%, and annual Magic Key passes jump as much as 20%.
There has also been a major change to the way the Park Hopper add-on is priced, with prices now based on ticket tier or number of days. It can now cost as much as $105 to add park hopping to a multi-day pass.
Theme Park tickets and add-ons
The Disneyland Resort uses a seasonal flex pricing structure, with the price of one-day tickets based on a seven-tier calendar.
A tier 0 ticket is lowest-priced single-day admission, and remains the same $104 as offered since 2019. Disney generally publishes the calendar 120 days in advance, and there are 20 tier-0 days on the schedule through early February. Not surprisingly, reservations for these lower-cost days can book quickly.
On the other side of the spectrum is the tier 6 ticket. Valid on the busiest of days, it saw a $11 increase to $206, breaking the $200 mark for the first time. The $102 difference between a tier 0 and tier 6 ticket is striking, as you can save nearly 50% by visiting on a “slower” day. Prices for one-day tier 2 through 5 tickets each increased $5 to $15.
The price for multi-day single-park tickets each increased by $20 to $31 for adults, with the five-day ticket now $511 per adult. Again, two tier 0 day tickets at $104 each are a better value than a 2-day ticket (now $330) if you can time your visits to off-season weekdays.
The park hopper add-on for one-day tickets is now also tier based, and the price increases for longer multi-day tickets. This change is very easy to overlook because of the way Disney’s website displays ticket prices, so we’ve broken it out for you in the charts below.
The option costs $65 to add to a tier 0, 1 or 2 ticket; $70 to add to a tier 3 or 4 ticket, and $75 to add to a tier 5 or 6 ticket. You will pay $85 – $105 to add park hopping to a multi-day ticket.
Finally, Disney has again raised the price of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass service for advance purchases, and continuing demand-based pricing for same-day purchases. It’s now $32 to add Lightning Lane Multi Pass to your ticket before your visit. If you decide to wait until you get to the park, the price could be $32, or it could be a lot higher based on demand.
Magic Key holders still receive a 20% discount on the purchase of Lightning Lane Multi Pass, but still can’t purchase them as an add-on until the day of their visit.
These price increases add up quickly. The cost of a “fully loaded” 5-day ticket with park hopping and Lightning Lane Multi Pass service, has jumped nearly 10% to $746 per adult.

Now what?
When Disneyland announced its upcoming Kids’ Special Offer Ticket last week, we wrote that we expected the annual ticket price increase would soon follow, so today’s announcement should not be a surprise to regular readers. However, if you were caught off guard by the price hike, our travel partners at Get Away Today are still selling tickets at the pre-increase price through October 21, 2024.
If you are now scrambling to save on tickets for your upcoming visit, visit our travel partners at Get Away Today or call 1-855-GET-AWAY, and be sure to mention you saw them on MousePlanet.
Kids’ Special Offer Ticket
This is also a great time to revisit that discount ticket offer that Disney announced last week.
A new offer starting January 7, 2025, lets children ages 3 to 9 visit Disneyland or Disney California Adventure for as low as $50 per day. This is a repeat of the offer from early 2024, and is accompanied by a new hotel discount.
The Kids’ Special Offer Ticket goes on sale starting October 22, 2024 and is valid for visits between January 7 and March 20, 2025. You can purchase 1-, 2- or 3-day park tickets, and add on optional Park Hopper and/or Lightning Lane Multi Pass service upgrades. In comparison, the current price for 1-day, 1-park child ticket can range from $98 for a “Tier 0,” to $196 for “Tier 6.”
Disney hasn’t released full pricing details for this offer yet, including how much it will cost to add the Park Hopper ticket upgrade and Lightning Lane Multi Pass, so we’ll update this information here as soon they’re available.
The 2025 offer is a bit longer than the 2024 version. Disney has not yet announced the 2025 festival lineup, but these dates will definitely cover the popular Lunar New Year celebration, and may just include the first weekend or two of the Food and Wine Festival.
Read the fine print carefully, because you need to make a theme park reservation to use this ticket, and Disney will set aside only a limited number of reservations for this ticket type each day. As with the prior offer, the terms state, “reservation availability for Kids’ Special Offer Ticket holders is not guaranteed for any date, and reservations may be difficult to get for any particular date, especially as the ticket expiration date approaches.”
We also want to point out that this offer states, “Sales may be paused from time to time or terminated at any time. ” Last month Disney ended sales of a discounted ticket for Anaheim residents more than a week before the end of the promotion, which caught last-minute planners by surprise.
Last year Disney extended the booking window for theme park reservations to 180 days in advance, which will let you make all of the reservations for this special offer as soon as you purchase your tickets, and also see which days are “Tier 0” days, where adult tickets are only $104. Disney says there are 15 of these days in January and February, 2025. From past schedules, they’ll all be Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays on non-holiday weeks. Last year the Kids Special Ticket Offer was eventually followed by a Southern California Resident discount, which made it more affordable for local families to visit, but we have no information about that.
In addition to requiring a theme park reservation, this ticket also has a “fuse”—which means multi-day tickets expire 13 days after the first day of use (or on March 20, 2025, whichever comes first). You won’t need to use all two or three days consecutively, but you will need to make sure to use them all before they expire. From past experience, it will be difficult to get reservations the last week of this offer unless you plan well in advance.
