New Heroes Ticket honors LA fire first responders

The Disneyland Resort is honoring the firefighters, law enforcement personnel and emergency medical technicians who worked to battle the Palisades and Eaton fires in January with complimentary admission to the “Happiest Place on Earth” for themselves and one guest.
The Heroes Ticket was announced last week, and eligible personnel can receive two one-day park hopper tickets to visit the Disneyland Resort Mondays through Thursdays from May 6 to August 7, 2024.
In announcing the offer, Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock said,
“We are inspired by the endless dedication and contributions of the heroes who battled the fires that took place in the LA area, and our gratitude for their service is immeasurable. We hope these heroes can enjoy a memorable day with a loved one at our parks, because they certainly deserve it.”
Those eligible for the offer include “eligible California firefighters as well as eligible Los Angeles-based law enforcement personnel and emergency medical technicians who helped combat the LA fires in January 2025. The Heroes Ticket will also be available to eligible individuals from other departments that provided mutual aid assistance.” Disney says more detailed information will be sent directly to the qualifying departments in April. Park reservations are required to use the tickets.
Enjoy one last week of Lunar New Year
The 2025 Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure wraps up this week, so there’s still another few days to use up the last of your Sip & Savor pass credits, catch Mulan’s Lunar New Year Celebration parade, and snap a photo with Mei Mei in her Red Panda form. The festival runs through Sunday, February 16.

Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Springtime
Goofy’s Kitchen will offer another seasonal celebration starting April 3. The Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Springtime promotion offers special menus during breakfast, brunch and dinner, plus the opportunity to meet Goofy and friends in garden-themed costumes.

Breakfast and brunch pricing is $65 for ages 10 and older; $36 for children ages 3 to 9. Dinner pricing is $75 for ages 10 and older; $39 for children ages 3 to 9. Tax and 18% gratuity is added to all pricing.
Reservations for the springtime meals open February 13 via the Disneyland website or mobile app.
Pixar Putt returns to Anaheim
Months after making a stop at the 2024 D23 Expo, Pixar Putt is returning to Anaheim for a limited engagement at the Pixar Place Hotel. Pixar Putt is a themed 18-hole Mini Golf course which has popped up in the ballroom of the Pixar Place Hotel. The course is designed for Pixar fans of all ages, with holes inspired by Inside Out 2, Toy Story, Cars, Monsters, Inc., Elemental, Soul, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, A Bug’s Life, Wall-E, Luca and Turning Red.

Pixar Putt is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., with tee times every 30 minutes. Prices start at $25 per person for Disneyland Resort Hotel guests and Magic Key holders; day guests are $28 -$33 per person depending on date selected. All tickets are subject to an additional $2 service fee.

Tee times are available through June 1, and can be booked on the Pixar Putt website.
Jolly Holiday reopening date set

Disneyland’s Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe has been closed for refurbishment for a month now, and fans of the popular eatery should be glad to know that the restaurant is now scheduled to reopen on March 21. Photo by Adrienne Vincent-Phoenix.
Some of the restaurant’s most popular items are available at other Main Street locations during the refurbishment. The Refreshment Corner is offering breakfast starting at 8:00 a.m., with a limited menu which includes a bacon and egg croissant sandwich, blueberry muffin and a cinnamon roll pretzel. This is also the new location to pick up the classic Matterhorn Macaroon. A birria potato is offered at lunch and dinner. Mobile order is available and recommended.

Another favorite snack is the Raspberry Rose Macaron. The delicious treat is currently available at the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor during that location’s usual operating hours. This location also offers mobile order, which is especially useful in the evenings.

Cozy Cone Hotel opens a new service counter

The Cozy Cone Motel at Disney California Adventure is a superbly themed set of food kiosks, each offering a unique snack and beverage menu. However, since opening day the location’s biggest drawback is the need to wait in line at each Cozy Cone to order the specialty items from each one. The introduction of mobile order made it easier to order from several cones at once using the Disneyland app, but until now walk up guests still needed to order in multiple lines to order from multipe cones.
Last week Disney opened a new single ordering point at the Cozy Cone Motel, offering guests the ability to order from one or all of the cones in a single transaction. This change also allows the cast members inside each cone to focus solely on preparing and serving orders, rather than taking orders. This change has also helped improve traffic flow through the area.
Mobile order is still available for those who prefer to use that option.

We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.
Tickets, Discounts and Promotions
Disneyland prices as of October 9, 2024.
Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!
This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.
Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.
One Day Tickets
Ticket & Season | Adult One-Park | Child (3–9) One-Park | Park Hopper Add-On |
---|---|---|---|
One Day – Tier 0 | $104 | $98 | $65 |
One Day – Tier 1 | $126 | $116 | $65 |
One Day – Tier 2 | $142 | $132 | $65 |
One Day – Tier 3 | $164 | $146 | $70 |
One Day – Tier 4 | $180 | $170 | $70 |
One Day – Tier 5 | $196 | $186 | $75 |
One Day – Tier 6 | $206 | $196 | $75 |
- Lightning Lane Multi Pass Add-On – $32 per day, per ticket when purchased in advance. Demand-based pricing applies to same-day purchases, starting at $33 per ticket.
- Lightning Lane Premier Pass Add-On – $400 per day, per ticket
Check the Disneyland website to see what type of ticket you need for the day you plan to visit. Seasonal pricing applies only to one-day tickets.

Kids Special Offer Ticket
This popular ticket is valid for visits between January 7 and March 20, 2025. You can purchase 1-, 2- or 3-day park tickets, and add on optional Park Hopper and/or Lightning Lane Multi Pass service upgrades.
These tickets start at $50 per day. In comparison, the current price for 1-day, 1-park child ticket can range from $98 for a “Tier 0,” to $194 for “Tier 6.” A fully-loaded 3-day park hopper ticket with the Lightning Lane Multi Pass add-on runs $336 with this offer, compared to the current price of $365 for just the ticket alone. That said, the cost of the add-ons really cuts into the value of these tickets. If you have the ability to spend more days, skip the add-ons and just enjoy a longer visit.
Ticket Duration and Type | One Park Per Day | Park Hopper add on | Lightning Lane Multi Pass Add On |
One Day | $50 | $45 | $32 |
Two Day | $100 | $85 | $64 |
Three Day | $150 | $90 | $96 |
Read the fine print carefully, because you need to make a theme park reservation to use this ticket, and Disney will set aside only a limited number of reservations for this ticket type each day. As with the prior offer, the terms state, “reservation availability for Kids’ Special Offer Ticket holders is not guaranteed for any date, and reservations may be difficult to get for any particular date, especially as the ticket expiration date approaches.”
In addition to requiring a theme park reservation, this ticket also has a “fuse”—which means multi-day tickets expire 13 days after the first day of use (or on March 20, 2025, whichever comes first). You won’t need to use all two or three days consecutively, but you will need to make sure to use them all before they expire. From past experience, it will be difficult to get reservations the last week of this offer unless you plan well in advance.

SoCal Resident 3-Day Ticket Offer
Southern California residents can visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks three days between January 1 and May 15, 2025 for as little as $199.
There are four versions of the Special Southern California Resident Ticket, starting at $199:
- 3-day, 1 park per day ticket – $199 per person
- 3-day Park Hopper ticket – $289 per person
- 3-day, 1 park per day ticket with Lightning Lane Multi Pass – $295 per person
- 3-day, Park Hopper ticket with Lightning Lane Multi Pass – $385 per person
Unlike the 2024 offer, the base version of this ticket is valid 7 days a week, not just weekdays. Even better, the January 1st start date means many visitors can use this ticket to catch the last few days of this year’s Holidays at the Disneyland Resort festivities and the Festival of Holidays before they end on January 6.
The fine print of these offers changes slightly each season, so be sure to pay close attention to details before you purchase to get the most value for your money. We note that residents of Northern Baja California are again excluded from this offer.
There is no “fuse” on this ticket, which means that you can use the first admission on January 1 and wait until May 15 to use the remaining admission. However, remember that you must make a theme park reservation for each day that you want to use the ticket. Disney also warns that ticket sales may be paused or ended at any time, so it’s probably best to purchase early so you’re ready to make reservations as soon as they open for your desired travel dates. Reservations can now be made up to 180 days in advance, which as of press time includes the entire duration of this offer.
Disney states that proof of residency is required for purchase and admission, and each resident can purchase up to five tickets per day.

In past years, the offer was generally 30% to 40% off, based on room category. Concierge rooms, Signature or Premium suites, or 2-or 3-Bedroom Villas are excluded from the offer, and this offer can not be combined with any other discount.
Unlike the Walt Disney World version, the Disneyland offer allows the eligible service member to book up to two rooms, and allows their spouse (with valid and proper ID) to qualify in the absence of the service member.
