Food & Wine Festival opens Friday
The 2025 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival kicks off this Friday, February 28, and MousePlanet will be there to share all of the delicious details with you. Follow along on Bluesky, X and Instagram as we share the best of the festival offerings.
In addition to the Foodie Guide Disneyland posted last week, the event website has been updated with complete menu offerings from each booth. We’d noted last year that Disney had cut back on the number of food offerings at each marketplace, with most booths offering two items instead of the three or four each in prior years.
This year, three of the booths are only serving one food dish, along with their usual beverage offerings. At the same time, there are more and more locations throughout the resort offering special menu items during the Festival. This is definitely going to be a year to pay close attention to your Festival guide book so you don’t miss a bite.

Sip & Savor Math – F&W 2025 edition
Visitors to Disney California Adventure can purchase a Sip and Savor Pass for the 2025 Food & Wine Festival, offering four or eight tasting portions of selected food and beverage items from participating locations. As we do for each Festival, we’ve run the numbers to see if the pass is a good value, and to help you get the most of it.
For 2025, the four-credit pass is $32 to the general public (average $8 per dish). The eight-credit pass is $63 to the general public (average $7.87 per dish) and $58 to Disneyland Resort Magic Key holders (average $7.25 per dish). Because sales tax isn’t applied to the price of the Sip and Savor Pass but is to the food items, you also get additional savings when you use the pass because you aren’t paying sales tax.
The passport itself is a plastic credential strung on a lanyard, with different versions for Magic Key holders.
The pass is valid for all food items and non-alcoholic beverages at the Festival Marketplace booths, as well as for “tasting portions” of select items at participating restaurants and carts around Disney California Adventure. When using the pass, you “save” every time you use a credit for an item priced at $8 / $7.25 or more, which isn’t difficult with some entrees reaching $9.75 this year. Remember, every $7.00 churr0 or $4.75 bottled water you buy with a credit eats into that savings.
You should also pay attention to what is considered a “tasting postion” when you use a Sip & Savor credit – you may find that it makes more sense to just pay cash and get the full entree portion, especially if you’re sharing with friends.
With menu prices rising faster than the Sip & Savor pass, it’s worth getting one this year if you plan to truly feast your way through the Festival, but pay attention to prices and be prepared to pay cash for items where it doesn’t make sense to waste an $8 credit.
Extended purchase window for Lightning Lane Premier Pass
Starting today, February 25, visitors can purchase the Lightning Lane Premier Pass up to 7 days in advance of their visit to the Disneyland Resort, up from the previous 2-day advance purchase window. This change brings the Disneyland Resort in line with Walt Disney World when it comes to this particular perk.
Disneyland introduced the Lightning Lane Premier Pass last October, and at the time I thought it was a “halfway-to-April Fool’s” prank. (It wasn’t.) The Lightning Lane Premier Pass gives buyers one-time access to the Lightning Lane entrance of any attraction that offers that service. At present there are 13 Lightning Lane Multi Pass attractions at Disneyland, and another 9 at Disney California Adventure.
Unlike regular Lightning Lane Multi Pass, there is no wait before someone with the Lightning Lane Premier Pass can jump into the next Lightning Lane. You can ride all 14 Lightning Lane attractions at Disneyland just as quickly as you can walk between them, and then hop over to Disney California Adventure to check the other 10 rides off your list.
The Premier Pass also includes one-time access to Lightning Lane Single Pass entrance for Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland and Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure, which are not included with the basic Lightning Lane Multi pass and are instead priced separately.
The price of the add-on varies based on demand, usually $299 or $399 per person, per day, above and beyond whatever admission media the visitor has already purchased. As I originally noted, the target market for this new product seems to be the person who is looking for the line-skipping benefits of the VIP Tour, and is willing to trade the plaid-vested host and concierge service for a (relatively) more affordable price.
90s Nite teaser
If, like me, you did not purchase tickets for the Disneyland After Dark: 90s Nite event, last week’s Instagram post by the DisneyEats team may have left you with a serious case of FOMO. The account shared a preview of the food and novelty items scheduled to be released during the after-hours event, and… let’s just say I’m regretting some choices.
Eggstravaganza 2025
The fan-favorite Egg-stravaganza returns to the Disneyland Resort on March 25 and runs through April 21.
Originally introduced in 2013 as a Limited Time Magic promotion with hunts inside both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, the event expanded to Downtown Disney in 2016.

A dozen oversized eggs decorated with images of Disney characters will be placed around each of the three hunt locations. Egg hunters first purchase a special map and stickers to help locate these eggs, then place the stickers on the corresponding spots on the map.
The maps are $9.99 plus tax, and no discounts apply. There is a limit of six maps per person, with one prize per map. Maps are sold at select merchandise locations in the theme parks and Downtown Disney. You may also find them for sale in the gift shops at the three Disneyland Resort hotels.
Once complete, participants return the map to a redemption location to claim their prize, which this year appears to be wooden character egg in a paint-your-own kit featuring 6 different characters.
If you’re only in it for the prizes you don’t need to complete the egg hunt to claim your reward—just buy your map at a redemption center and receive your treat.

We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.
Tickets, Discounts and Promotions
Disneyland prices as of October 9, 2024.
Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!
This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.
Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.
One Day Tickets
Ticket & Season | Adult One-Park | Child (3–9) One-Park | Park Hopper Add-On |
---|---|---|---|
One Day – Tier 0 | $104 | $98 | $65 |
One Day – Tier 1 | $126 | $116 | $65 |
One Day – Tier 2 | $142 | $132 | $65 |
One Day – Tier 3 | $164 | $146 | $70 |
One Day – Tier 4 | $180 | $170 | $70 |
One Day – Tier 5 | $196 | $186 | $75 |
One Day – Tier 6 | $206 | $196 | $75 |
- Lightning Lane Multi Pass Add-On – $32 per day, per ticket when purchased in advance. Demand-based pricing applies to same-day purchases, starting at $33 per ticket.
- Lightning Lane Premier Pass Add-On – $400 per day, per ticket
Check the Disneyland website to see what type of ticket you need for the day you plan to visit. Seasonal pricing applies only to one-day tickets.
Book now here at Get Away Today or call 1-855-GET-AWAY, and be sure to mention you saw them on MousePlanet.
Kids Special Offer Ticket
This popular ticket is valid for visits between January 7 and March 20, 2025. You can purchase 1-, 2- or 3-day park tickets, and add on optional Park Hopper and/or Lightning Lane Multi Pass service upgrades.
These tickets start at $50 per day. In comparison, the current price for 1-day, 1-park child ticket can range from $98 for a “Tier 0,” to $194 for “Tier 6.” A fully-loaded 3-day park hopper ticket with the Lightning Lane Multi Pass add-on runs $336 with this offer, compared to the current price of $365 for just the ticket alone. That said, the cost of the add-ons really cuts into the value of these tickets. If you have the ability to spend more days, skip the add-ons and just enjoy a longer visit.
Ticket Duration and Type | One Park Per Day | Park Hopper add on | Lightning Lane Multi Pass Add On |
One Day | $50 | $45 | $32 |
Two Day | $100 | $85 | $64 |
Three Day | $150 | $90 | $96 |
Read the fine print carefully, because you need to make a theme park reservation to use this ticket, and Disney will set aside only a limited number of reservations for this ticket type each day. As with the prior offer, the terms state, “reservation availability for Kids’ Special Offer Ticket holders is not guaranteed for any date, and reservations may be difficult to get for any particular date, especially as the ticket expiration date approaches.”
In addition to requiring a theme park reservation, this ticket also has a “fuse”—which means multi-day tickets expire 13 days after the first day of use (or on March 20, 2025, whichever comes first). You won’t need to use all two or three days consecutively, but you will need to make sure to use them all before they expire. From past experience, it will be difficult to get reservations the last week of this offer unless you plan well in advance.
More details about this offer.
Heroes Ticket
The Disneyland Resort is honoring the firefighters, law enforcement personnel and emergency medical technicians who worked to battle the Palisades and Eaton fires in January with complimentary admission to the “Happiest Place on Earth” for themselves and one guest. Eligible personnel can receive two one-day park hopper tickets to visit the Disneyland Resort Mondays through Thursdays from May 6 to August 7, 2024
Those eligible for the offer include “eligible California firefighters as well as eligible Los Angeles-based law enforcement personnel and emergency medical technicians who helped combat the LA fires in January 2025. The Heroes Ticket will also be available to eligible individuals from other departments that provided mutual aid assistance.” Disney says more detailed information will be sent directly to the qualifying departments in April. Park reservations are required to use the tickets

SoCal Resident 3-Day Ticket Offer
Southern California residents can visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks three days between January 1 and May 15, 2025 for as little as $199.
There are four versions of the Special Southern California Resident Ticket, starting at $199:
- 3-day, 1 park per day ticket – $199 per person
- 3-day Park Hopper ticket – $289 per person
- 3-day, 1 park per day ticket with Lightning Lane Multi Pass – $295 per person
- 3-day, Park Hopper ticket with Lightning Lane Multi Pass – $385 per person
Unlike the 2024 offer, the base version of this ticket is valid 7 days a week, not just weekdays. Even better, the January 1st start date means many visitors can use this ticket to catch the last few days of this year’s Holidays at the Disneyland Resort festivities and the Festival of Holidays before they end on January 6.
The fine print of these offers changes slightly each season, so be sure to pay close attention to details before you purchase to get the most value for your money. We note that residents of Northern Baja California are again excluded from this offer.
There is no “fuse” on this ticket, which means that you can use the first admission on January 1 and wait until May 15 to use the remaining admission. However, remember that you must make a theme park reservation for each day that you want to use the ticket. Disney also warns that ticket sales may be paused or ended at any time, so it’s probably best to purchase early so you’re ready to make reservations as soon as they open for your desired travel dates. Reservations can now be made up to 180 days in advance, which as of press time includes the entire duration of this offer.
Disney states that proof of residency is required for purchase and admission, and each resident can purchase up to five tickets per day.

Six Day (or more) Tickets

Concierge rooms, Signature or Premium suites, or 2-or 3-Bedroom Villas are excluded from the offer, and this offer can not be combined with any other discount.
