Registration opens today for 2025 Disneyland Half Marathon weekend
Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. Pacific time on Tuesday, June 18 for the 2025 Disneyland Half Marathon weekend. The event takes place January 30 through February 2, 2025 and includes a variety of events for adults and children. The 2025 event theme is “Adventure,” and each race is themed to a Disney character with an adventurous spirit.
Event | Date | Price |
Disneyland Yoga | January 30, 2025 | $130 |
Disneyland 5K | January 31, 2025 | $120 |
Disneyland 10K | February 1, 2025 | $175 |
runDisney Kids Races | February 1, 2025 | $40 each |
Disneyland Half Marathon | February 2, 2025 | $260 |
Dumbo Double Dare | February 1-2, 2025 | $440 |
runDisney Health and Fitness Expo | January 30 – February 1, 2025 | No Charge |
Do not be fooled by the tiered pricing on the runDisney website, which states that prices will increase if you register after December 17th. It’s been a long while since runDisney events took more than a few hours to sell out. There won’t be any spots available on June 19th, much less in December.
To register, visit the runDisney website. As always, we recommend that you are fully prepared with all of your information before registration opens. Make sure you’re already logged into your Disney account, and have all of the details for each person you are trying to register, including legal name, home and email addresses, date of birth, pace time and shirt size. If you need to submit a proof of time for an event, you can do that after you register, so don’t take time to do it when you first register.
runDisney published a video last year which gives tips for how to register, but it doesn’t address concerns about how to ensure you get into all of your events if you’re trying to register for multiple races, or how best to register for multiple people (including minors).
Based on my own personal experience with this, it’s best to have every adult handle their own registrations, because entries are not confirmed until you finish and pay. It’s not uncommon to get to checkout and find one or more events have sold out while you were adding your spouse, friends and children.
More entertainment cuts at DCA
Last week we shared about cuts made to Club Pixar and the “Doctor Strange: Mysteries of the Mystic Arts” show at DCA, this week comes word of more entertainment cuts in the park.
The Orange County Register first reported that Disney is trimming the schedule for “Warriors of Wakanda: The Disciplines of the Dora Milaje.” The show is currently performed 6 times each day in the Avengers Campus, but starting June 30 the show will be dark on Sunday and Monday.
The Citizens of Buena Vista Street are also seeing their work week cut, and will not perform on Thursdays and Fridays starting July 4. You can read more about these residents here on MousePlanet.
Time to claim your Dream Key settlement payment
If you are one of the more than 100,000 people who purchase a Disneyland Dream Key in the fall of 2021, check your email for directions on how to claim your portion of the settlement reached in a class action lawsuit about the tickets.
The subject of the email is “Disney Dream Key Settlement – Claim Your Settlement Payment,” and the sender is EpiqPay. The settlement amount is $65.67 per pass.
Passholders who opted for an electronic payment can now choose to have the funds deposited into a bank account, or transferred to their PayPal or Venmo accounts. Some passholders may instead receive a check in the mail. If you feel you should have received a settlement and have not heard from the settlement administrator, you can visit the settlement website for more information.
More ways to manage your tickets online
The Disneyland website and mobile app were recently updated with new tools which let visitors manage their tickets online without needing to visit a theme park ticket booth.
Customers who have already purchased standard Disneyland tickets can use these new tools to:
- Upgrade a one-day ticket to a higher ticket tier.
- Upgrade a one-day ticket to a multi-day ticket.
- Add days to a multi-day ticket.
- Upgrade a one-park ticket to a park hopper ticket.
- Add Disney Genie+ to a ticket.
You can not use the tool to downgrade a ticket – whatever changes you make must result in a new ticket of greater value than the ticket being upgraded. You will pay the difference in cost right from the website or app. You can change multiple tickets at a time, so long as the tickets are all the same base ticket, and you are making the same changes to each. Otherwise, you can change tickets one at a time.
You can access this new tool on the Disneyland website by selecting the “Parks and Tickets” tab, and scrolling down to “Change Your Park Tickets.” On the Disneyland app, navigate to “Tickets and Passes,” then swipe to the ticket you want to manage. Click the “Change Ticket” icon on the screen, and follow the prompts.
Because Magic Keys are not currently available for sale, we’re not certain if you will be able to use these tools in the future to upgrade a standard theme park ticket to a Magic Key.
Matterhorn anniversary mug coming this week
Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar will release a new mug celebrating the 65th anniversary of the Matterhorn Bobsleds this Thursday, June 20. Visitors can order the Abominable Snowman mug as early as 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, for pickup between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The mug is served with a coconut-pineapple Dole Whip, and pricing was not released.
We note that there was no edition size mentioned for the mug, which we hope means it’s an open edition mug that will be available longer than just the day of release.
Mug artist Doug P’Gosh will be on hand from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to sign mugs purchased on Thursday.

- Holidays at the Disneyland Resort – Begins November 15.
We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.
Current Discounts and Promotions
Disneyland prices as of October 11, 2023.
Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!
This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.
Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

3-Day Disneyland Ticket Offer – June 10 – September 26, 2024
Visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks three weekdays between June 10 and September 26, 2024 for as little as $149 for ages 3-9, or $249 for ages 10 and older using a new discounted ticket which goes on sale May 29, 2024. That represents a savings of up to $219 off the regular price of a three-day, one-park-per-day ticket for children ages 3-9. The adult offer is a $141 discount, and is the same price than the summer 2023 deal.
You can also choose between a ticket good Monday through Thursday OR a slightly more expensive ticket good any day of the week. There are also options to add park hopping and Disney Genie+ service to your ticket at the time of purchase.
This new offer differs from past discouts discounts, so be sure to pay close attention to details before you purchase.
The 3-Day Disneyland Ticket Offer is a 3-day, 1-park-per-day ticket that offers admission to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure:
- The weekday ticket – starting at $149 for ages 3-9; $249 for ages 10 and older. Three weekdays (Mondays through Thursdays only) between June 10 and September 26, 2024
- The any day ticket – starting at $199 for ages 3-9; $299, for ages 10 and older. Three days (any day of the week, including weekends) between June 10 and September 26, 2024
You can use every day of the 3-Day Disneyland Ticket at the same theme park, or visit different parks on different days, but you can’t use it to enter both parks on the same day unless you add the park-hopper option ($70 per ticket)
There is no “fuse” on this ticket, which means that you can use the first admission on June 10 and wait until September 26 to use the remaining admission. However, remember that you must make a theme park reservation for each day that you want to use the ticket. Disney also warns that reservations for this category of ticket are not guaranteed for any particular dates, and that a date may sell out in this ticket category though other ticket types have reservations of available. It is probably best to purchase early and make reservations as soon as they open for your desired travel dates. Each day of use constitutes one full day of use.
Tickets expire on September 26, 2024, and have no holiday blackouts. That means that you can visit on the 4th of July holiday using a weekday ticket, assuming reservations are available.
May purchase up to 15 tickets per eligible person per day. Tickets are nonrefundable, may not be sold or transferred for commercial use and exclude activities/events separately priced. Offer may not be combined with other ticket discounts or promotions. Subject to restrictions and change or cancellation without notice.
Visit Get Away Today starting May 29, 2024, to take advantage of this ticket offer! Book at Get Away Today or call 1-855-GET-AWAY, and be sure to mention you saw them on MousePlanet. PLUS – if you purchased the Adults at Kids’ Prices deal from Get Away Today last week and this offer is a better deal for you, Get Away Today will of course honor the new ticket for you just as soon as it’s available! Just reach out to Get Away Today on or after May 29 to receive the price adjustment.
