Jonas Brothers to “Celebrate Happy” with Disneyland
Disney announced Monday that The Jonas Brothers will perform the Disneyland Resort celebration theme song, “Celebrate Happy,” which will be used throughout the 70th anniversary. The official celebration begins on May 16, with the new song available through all streaming platforms starting May 13. Disneyland’s 70th anniversary is July 17, 2025, and the anniversary festivities are the theme for the Resort’s summertime marketing campaign.

Reservations open for 70th Anniversary Dining Packages
Reservations are now open for a pair of dining packages created for Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration. Disney has also announced that the Star Wars fireworks viewing package is set to return.
Paint the Night Dining Package
First up is the Paint the Night Dining Package at Plaza Inn, which offers a three-course meal and access to a reserved viewing area for the return of the popular Paint the Night parade. The package is available May 16 through August 25, 2025, excluding a handful of blockout dates.

The package is $55 for ages 10 and up, and $28 for ages 3-9. The adult meal includes:
- Mushroom gravy-glazed meatloaf
- Baby wedge salad
- Pea purée over creamy mashed potatoes
- Herbed crispy carrots
- Paint the Night-themed dessert
- Choice of one fountain beverage
The childs menu includes:
- Crispy chicken tenders
- Macaroni & Cheese
- Apple sauce and baby carrots
- Dinner roll
- Paint the Night-themed dessert
- Choice of one fountain beverage
Plant-based options are available for both meals, though details were not available on the Disneyland website.
Payment is required at the time of reservation, and a $10 cancellation fee applies if you do not cancel your reservation at least one day in advance. When you arrive at your reservation time, you will pay for and pick up your meal, and receive your voucher for the viewing area. You can then eat at any open table at the Plaza Inn.
I want to point out that the reserved viewing is for the first performance of the day only, and the viewing section is “mainly standing room or ground seating and is separate from the dining location.” Disney says that, “Due to overwhelming demand, special seating requests or preferences will not be accommodated except for wheelchair accessibility.”
Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet at Storytellers Cafe
Next up is the a new character dinner experience at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, starting May 16, 2025. Donald’s Tales of Adventure serves up a “campfire-style barbecue buffet” with ribs, fried chicken, prime rib and side dishes. Donald, Daisy, Clarabelle, Goofy and Pluto will greet visitors and show off their new adventure gear.

Pricing is $62 per person ages 10 and older; $36 per person ages 3-9. If you prefer to meet Mickey and Minnie, Mickey’s Tales of Adventure breakfast buffet will continue to be available.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Nighttime Gathering
Finally, the Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Nighttime Gathering is coming back for a limited time, with reservations opening April 3, 2025. This package offers an assortment of snacks and drinks, and grants access to a reserved viewing area for the fantastic “Fire of the Rising Moons” fireworks at Disneyland.
“Fire of the Rising Moons” takes advantage of the unique location of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in relation to Disneyland’s fireworks launch system to present a completely different show with a Star Wars soundtrack.

When Disneyland introduced this package last November, I noted that the $89 price was surprisingly high when compared to other upcharge options around the Resort. The reviews were not that favorable, and the offering was quietly discontinued. Pricing for the return has not yet been announced, and one detail in the official photo gives me hope that the price will be lower this time around. While the food offerings appear identical to the last iteration, I note that the signature beverage is no longer presented in a souvenir glass. Previously the package came with a novelty cup straight from the defunct Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser in Walt Disney World. I’m hoping that change knocks at least $20 off the package.
It’s also unclear whether this new package will offer any viewing advantage for “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga,” which debuts this Friday as part of the Seasonof the Force promotion. The new projecton show does not appear on the Disneyland entertainment calendar, and we don’t know when or how often it will be presented each evening.
Season of the Force returns
Speaking of Season of the Force, the annual promotion kicks off this Friday, March 28. The big headline this year is the arrival of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for the first time since the land opened. Paired with the debut of “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga,” Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will likely be quite crowded this weekend. Be sure to check the Disneyland mobile app for character appearance schedules, because you can also meet Ahsoka Tano, Chewbacca and the Mandalorian with Grogu.
In Tomorrowland, Hyperspace Mountain returns for the season. The popular overlay features Star Wars music and effects. Season of the Force also brings out a number of special food and beverage offerings, as well as merchandise and collectibles. There are so many treats this year, you’ll want to bookmark the Disney Parks Blog listing to catch them all.

runDisney announces 2026 Half Marathon Weekend dates
The 2026 Disneyland Half Marathon weekend will take place Thursday, January 29 through Sunday, February 1 2026, runDisney announced via Instagram this weekend. The weekend of events includes 5K, 10K and half marathon races, as well as a group yoga offering and runDisney Kids races.
Club runDisney members can register for events starting April 22, 2025. Registration opens to the general public starting April 29, 2025. These races traditionally sell out very quickly, especially for the shorter distances, so be sure to mark your calendars and set an alert so you don’t miss registration.
Farewell to Disney Jr. Dance Party
Sunday marked the last performance of the Disney Jr. Dance Party at Disney California Adventure. A Disney spokesperson confirmed the show has been “sunset”, and advised ” to make room for a new show coming later in 2025. The Disney Parks Blog is expected to share more information early next week.
Some suspect the Disney Theater on Buena Vista Street may become the new home for “Bluey” and family when they make their first Disneyland Resort appearance.
Disney Experiences announced last December that “Bluey” would come to the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts starting in 2025, after having made their debut on the Disney Cruise Line sailings from Australia and New Zealand.
Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences said: “Bluey has become a household name for families around the world and we are thrilled to bring her story to life in new ways. We can’t wait to watch our youngest guests and their families make memories with Bluey in our parks and on our cruises.”

This and That…
…Two screen-worn costumes from the live action remake of “Snow White” are on display inside the lobby of the Carthay Circle Restaurant in Disney California Adventure. Dresses worn by Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen are displayed inside a glass case, and you do not need to have a reservation or dine at the restaurant to view them.
…Disneyland’s Tomorrowland Terrace is currently surrounded by construction walls, likely for a routine refurbishment. The stage adjacent to the Galactic Grill was the long-time setting for the Jedi Training Academy before that shuttered in 2018, and more recently has been used for nighttime family dance parties with Disney characters and a DJ.
…A brand-new In-N-Out hamburger restaurant opened last Friday in Anaheim, about 2 miles north of Disneyland. The new restaurant is located just off Interstate 5 at Euclid. This makes the fourth of the popular chain’s locations to open within a 3 mile radius of Disneyland, giving out-of-area visitors several options to get their burger fix.
…At press time, only the Enchant Magic Key was still available for new purchase. The other three Magic Key tiers are currently listed as available for renewal only to those who already hold a Magic Key.
…At press time, tickets were still on sale for almost all of the Disneyland After Dark – Star Wars Nite events in April and May. Only the Sunday, May 4th event has sold out. More event details on the event website.

We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.
Tickets, Discounts and Promotions
Disneyland prices as of October 9, 2024.
Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!
This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.
Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

Heroes Ticket
The Disneyland Resort is honoring the firefighters, law enforcement personnel and emergency medical technicians who worked to battle the Palisades and Eaton fires in January with complimentary admission to the “Happiest Place on Earth” for themselves and one guest. Eligible personnel can receive two one-day park hopper tickets to visit the Disneyland Resort Mondays through Thursdays from May 6 to August 7, 2024
Those eligible for the offer include “eligible California firefighters as well as eligible Los Angeles-based law enforcement personnel and emergency medical technicians who helped combat the LA fires in January 2025. The Heroes Ticket will also be available to eligible individuals from other departments that provided mutual aid assistance.” Disney says more detailed information will be sent directly to the qualifying departments in April. SoCal Resident 3-Day Ticket Offer
Southern California residents can visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks three days between January 1 and May 15, 2025 for as little as $199.
There are four versions of the Special Southern California Resident Ticket, starting at $199:
- 3-day, 1 park per day ticket – $199 per person
- 3-day Park Hopper ticket – $289 per person
- 3-day, 1 park per day ticket with Lightning Lane Multi Pass – $295 per person
- 3-day, Park Hopper ticket with Lightning Lane Multi Pass – $385 per person
Unlike the 2024 offer, the base version of this ticket is valid 7 days a week, not just weekdays. Even better, the January 1st start date means many visitors can use this ticket to catch the last few days of this year’s Holidays at the Disneyland Resort festivities and the Festival of Holidays before they end on January 6.
The fine print of these offers changes slightly each season, so be sure to pay close attention to details before you purchase to get the most value for your money. We note that residents of Northern Baja California are again excluded from this offer.
There is no “fuse” on this ticket, which means that you can use the first admission on January 1 and wait until May 15 to use the remaining admission. However, remember that you must make a theme park reservation for each day that you want to use the ticket. Disney also warns that ticket sales may be paused or ended at any time, so it’s probably best to purchase early so you’re ready to make reservations as soon as they open for your desired travel dates. Reservations can now be made up to 180 days in advance, which as of press time includes the entire duration of this offer.
Disney states that proof of residency is required for purchase and admission, and each resident can purchase up to five tickets per day.

- Four-Day, One-Park per Day Ticket – regularly $445/$420
- Four-Day Park Hopper Add-On – $95 per day, per ticket

- Five-Day Park Hopper Add-On – $105 per day, per ticket

Six Day (or more) Tickets
