We have some sad news to share today. “Porch Potato” Frank, who was a frequent and beloved presence on Main Street U.S.A., has passed away. For over twenty years, Disneyland’s “Porch Potato” Frank often sat on the porch on Main Street U.S.A. people-watching, and he was widely known at Disneyland. He was lovingly referred to as the unofficial “Mayor of Main Street.”
Below, we’d like to share the message from his family and sentiments from Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, Josh D’Amaro, who recently visited with him last month during the park’s 70th anniversary.

Frank’s family shared the news of his passing on Instagram with the following caption: “It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of Frank, our beloved Porch Potato. He brought joy to us all with fist bumbs, high fives and enough stories for a million lifetimes. He graced Main Street for almost 20 years (that we can count). You would hear him say “everyday is my is my best day”. He lived for his Disney days and Porch family.”
