Disney’s Enchanted featured more than a dozen scenes that pay tribute to classic Disney animated films like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, and The Little Mermaid. In conjunction with the DVD release of the movie, MousePlanet asked readers to submit their most “enchanting” photo. The MousePlanet staff, including photographer Frank Anzalone, voted on our favorites. We wound up with a tie for second place, so each of the top three submissions will receive a copy of the Enchanted DVD, courtesy of MousePlanet.com and Buena Vista Home Entertainment. Congratulations!
First Place
“Scoring a kiss from his lady friend,” by September Roltsch
“Our daughter loves her Disney Princesses, but she’s got some stiff competition in little brother, Davis. One of their favorite Epcot activities is to go on a “Princess Hunt” through World Showcase finding all of their special friends. On our May 2007 trip, one of Davis’ favorite parts of the trip was getting some special one-on-one time with Sleeping Beauty in the garden behind France and scoring a kiss from his lady friend.”

“Relaxing from royal duties,” by Marc Benz
“Even a princess sometimes needs time to relax from royal duties. This picture was taken on April 4, 2005 at Disneyland Paris. While Cinderella is in a backstage area, the photo was taken from onstage!”

“It was awful quiet in her room,” by Michael Box
“My daughter has always been into Disney Princesses since she has been old enough to walk. Her favorite is Cinderella. Her first trip to Disney World was in October of 2006 when she was 5. She got to meet Cinderella for breakfast in her Castle during that trip and was awe struck to say the least. For weeks after we got home it was Cinderella 24/7 . She wanted to be dressed like her, talk like her, and walk like her every waking moment. She was in her room watching Cinderella for the fifth or sixth time in a row the day after we returned from our trip when we noticed that except for her movie, it was awfull quiet in her room. This is what we found when we checked in on her.”

Reader Submissions
We had quite a few photo “enchanting” submissions from our MousePlanet readers. We hope you enjoy these as much as we did!
“This is a picture of my cousin’s 6-year-old granddaughter Allaura and her favorite Princess Belle, taken at Disneyland in September 2, 2006, her last trip to California before her Quad Sisters were born!” Photo submitted by Bev and Tracy Screeton.
“Hi, I am Kamra! I am now I working Guide Dog, but in February of 2006 when I was just a puppy in training, my raiser & I went to Disneyland. I got to visit with Aurora, Cinderella & Belle. Belle had just come from a royal engagement and was still in her fancy gown but she took some time to sit down with me and snuggle before she was on her way to lunch with the Beast.” Photo by Denise Brown.
“Here’s Princess Christa at Walt Disney World during her honeymoon in August, 2007. Some princesses lose their glass slippers on the steps of the castle, some lose their plastic flip flops. Whether you’re at the royal ball or the Pirate & Princess Party, though, the party is over at midnight.” Photo by Brodie.
“This picture was taken in October 2003 at the Disneyland Resort in Downtown Disney, at the World of Disney Store. The last time we had been to the park was 9 years earlier when we did not see any Princesses. On this week long trip, we, again, did not get to see or visit with any Princesses… except for here. I was willing to take what I could get. Three Princesses, Cinderella, Snow White, and Aurora all in one place! A guy couldn’t ask for anything more.” Photo by Randy Field.
“This picture of Snow White was taken on a beautiful mid-morning near her Wishing Well in August 2005, during Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary. We had just finished visiting with the Queen, Snow White’s step-mom. And what a beautiful woman she is! Her mirror had not been lying to her. Then we saw Cinderella hurrying through the Hub. But then, off to the side, we saw her… standing there alone… .It was Snow White. Oh my! Once again, the mirror was not lying. The Queen had every reason to be jealous. This is the most beautiful Princess I have ever seen!!! Those eyes! That smile! She is perfect. This Snow White is exactly what I have always imagined a Princess to look like. Elise meets Cinderella at Disney’s California Adventure, March 2007. It was our first Princess Lunch and every moment was filled with joy for Elise. I was so glad I captured this magical moment when she first met Cinderella. Every time I look at it I can feel the magic of the moment just by the look in my baby girl’s eyes. There is no better way to view the wonder and the magic of Disney than through the belief in a child’s eyes. Photo by Anna.
This photo captures Snow White twirling her dress (perhaps waiting for her prince to come) during a character meet and greet at the Disney-MGM Studios (currently Disney’s Hollywood Studios) in the spring of 2007. Photo by Joshua Ziegler.
“Our two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Chloe, is apprehensive about having her photo taken with the characters, but when it comes to the princesses, she can’t get close enough! This photo, taken in February at the Princess Storybook Dinner at Epcot, represents the first time we’d allowed our girls to wear their costumes into the parks. The older one was dressed as Cinderella, and the two remained in character all night, as Cinderella and “Sleeping Bootie.” This is the tightest hug I’ve ever seen a face character give.” Photo by Amy Wright.
“This was taken at our very magical wedding in front of the Rose Court Garden at the Disneyland Resort in California on June 25th, 2006 (the day after the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest premiere at Disneyland). Cinderella was kind enough to lend me her Coach. My husband, Sgt. Christopher Molina, was dressed in his full Marine Corps’ Dress Blue uniform. I felt like a princess the entire day!” Photo submitted by Amy Molina.

“This pic was taken on Bats Day in August 2006. We arrived fairly early in the day and there weren’t many goths in the park yet. Zero had been asked by several guests to pose for photos. The cutests was an elderly Indian couple who thought she was a character and asked her what her movie was. When she told them she wasn’t a character, they laughed and told her she was “as pretty as a princess.” This pic was taken later that morning. Mary Poppins admired Zero’s parasol and told her she looked like her “darker little cousin.” It was a very fun day.” Photo by Shelly Copeland.
“This is a picture of my then 2-year-old daughter, Meg, taken at Disneyland in November 2007. You can imagine her delight when she met with Snow White while wearing her very own Snow White costume! Snow White was just precious with Meg, teaching her how to pose just like she does. It was a truly magical moment for our daughter. She still talks about it to this day!” Photo by Charla Thompson.
“During Disneyland’s 50th anniversary celebration, my two daughters (Grace and Corinne) received some quality time with Snow White. She invited them to walk with her as she entered from off-stage all the way to the wishing well. Snow White was my younger daughter’s favorite princess. She was feeling too shy to hold her hand, but received a kiss on the cheek before our encounter was over, as is evidenced by the lipstick left behind. It was a magical moment.” Photo by Tricia Phenicie.
“When we went to meet Snow White, she sat us down amidst her plywood-cutout forest friends asked us if there was a question we’d been waiting to ask her. We told her that we wanted to know what the Seven Dwarfs eat for lunch. Without missing a beat, Snow White cheerfully rattled off a list of seven different meals — with special dietary accommodations of course, like a big cup of coffee for Sleepy, no pepper on Sneezy’s turkey sandwich, and a miniature gooseberry pie to brighten Grumpy’s day!” Photo submitted by Jeffrey Kopasz.
