Fantasmic returns to the Disneyland Resort on Friday, May 24, and Disney has just released details of the premium Fantasmic dining package at the Blue Bayou restaurant.
Your lunch or dinner reservation includes a five-course meal, a “souvenir item for non-alcoholic beverages,” a “Fantasmic!-inspired chocolate decadence tart” for dessert and a voucher providing entry to a reserved viewing area for that evening’s performance of Fantasmic. You choose your meal and show time when you book your reservation.
The menu offerings include:
- Surf and Turf
- Oscar-style Filet Mignon
- Blackened Ribeye and Bourbon Shrimp
- Gumbo
- Heirloom Tomato and Watermelon Salad
- Strawberry and Pistachio Salad
Be sure to note that the reserved viewing area does not include chairs – Disney says “all viewing areas are for sitting on the ground only, with accommodation for guests with disabilities.”
Pricing is $89 per ages 10 and older, $35 for children ages 3-9. A wine pairing is available at an extra charge. There is also a $10 upcharge if you choose the Oscar-style Filet Mignon or the Blackened Ribeye and Bourbon Shrimp.
Reservations are now open through the Disneyland website, though we note the first weekend is already sold out. There are no dining packages offered on June 16, and Fantasmic is dark June 18 due to the Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite event. (Pride Nite also runs June 20, but the website is currently showing dining packages for that night – we expect this is an error and will be corrected.)
Prior to Fantasmic’s unscheduled hiatus in 2023, two dining packages were offered at River Belle Terrace in Frontierland, and the Hungry Bear Restaurant in Critter Country offered a “on-the-go” package option. Disney has yet to release details of these, but we expect them to return in some form this year.
You can definitely watch Fantasmic without booking a dining package, but be prepared to invest some time to get a prime spot in the viewing area. As was the case when the last version of Fantasmic debuted in 2022, it doesn’t appear that Disney is going to use any sort of reservation system for the show when it returns later this month.
Disney still uses a virtual queue system to manage viewing areas for The World of Color at Disney California Adventure, but, apart from sections reserved for guests who book the dining packages, Fantasmic seating will once again be a free-for-all. Disney has said that guests may not reserve spots in the viewing area more than two hours prior to the first show time, which should help somewhat with congestion in the area.
