The MouseStation Podcast

Episode 6 – February 15, 2007 – Finding Nemo-The Musical, plus separate MousePlanetWatch news feed and Bonus video feed of the grand opening of The Seas with Nemo and Friends

We’ve decided to continue to split out the news segment into a separate show on a trial basis for now. Let us know what you think of this format via email or by calling our toll-free feedback line at 1-866-939-2278.

MouseStation Bonus Video run time – 7:15

The grand opening ceremonies of The Seas with Nemo and Friends took place in the pouring rain, so the sound of rain runs throughout and Mark’s poncho (which was keeping the camera dry) makes several unannounced appearances.

Late-breaking news: since the podcast was recorded, Disney Legend Peter Ellenshaw has passed away.

Our Tip of the Week is to check out DisneyLiNK
for interesting information about the parks, DVDs, merchandise and other stuff
that you might not know about. Just be aware that it can be a resource hog
on your computer when it first starts up.

Our featured topic this week was a discussion of Finding Nemo – The Musical
at Walt Disney World. Mike and Mark talked about the show, and we also played
audio from three interviews that Mark did: one with Michelle Lane (Dory),
Michael Morgan (Marlin), Alison Case (Nemo) and Bert Rodriguez (Crush) from
the show’s cast; one with Anne Hamburger, Executive Vice President for Creative
Entertainment for Disney Parks & Resorts, and one with Bobby and Kristen Anderson-Lopez,
co-creators of the show. Mark has finally written the new park
guide page
for the show.

This week’s Featured Attraction is the Country Bear Jamboree at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

This week’s Review system spotlight focuses on Taste Pilot’s Grill at Disney’s California Adventure.

This week’s Magical Moment came from Ruth and John Iler from Littleton, Colorado, who talked to Mike aboard the Disney Wonder during the MouseFest 2006 cruise.

You can get your MousePlanet (or MouseStation) swag from the new MousePlanet CafePress store.

You can send in your suggestions, comments or ideas for the tip of the week via our email form or via voicemail on our toll-free feedback line (1-866-939-2278). You can also make suggestions by replying to this post.

If you want to contribute a story for our Magical Moment segment (and possible inclusion in the Cast Place column here on MousePlanet), you can either use our email form or the toll-free feedback line. (We like when you use the voice mail system, because then we can play it on the show.)

Mark is once again participating in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica event. Please check out his pledge page for more information, or to donate. If you’d rather donate to other causes supported by folks in the Disney Internet community, Deb Wills (AllEarsNet) is raising money to fight breast cancer and Lou Mongello (Disney World Trivia) is raising money for the Starlight Starbright Foundation to send terminally-ill children to Walt Disney World.
