The MouseStation and MousePlanetWatch Podcasts
MouseStation 9 – First Family in the Castle, plus MousePlanetWatch 9 news feed for March 8, 2007
Reminder: The MousePlanetWatch news segment has been permanently separated into a separate show. We have now set up three separate feeds: one for MouseStation only, one for MousePlanetWatch only and one for both in a single feed. This way, you can subscribe to whichever combination you prefer. Let us know what you think of this format via email or by calling our toll-free feedback line at 1-866-939-2278.
In both podcasts, we made mention of the Spring 2007 edition of MouseAdventure, for which registration opened yesterday. (I know, I said today in the podcast. The date of the podcast and the dates of my trip to cover the shareholder meeting got scrambled in my head.) For detailed information, check out the MouseAdventure page here.

Our Tip of the Week came from Tim Banic, who provided last week’s Magical Moment. He recommended using off-site rental locations for wheelchairs or ECVs. For a list of many locations that rent those and other medical devices in both Orlando and Anaheim, check out the rental equipment company page on MousePad member Teri’s Disability Information for Disney Travelers site.
We had two featured topics again this week. First up was an interview of MouseAdventure coordinator Adrienne Vincent-Phoenix by West Coast field reporter Steven Ng. For more information on MouseAdventure, check out the MouseAdventure page here.
Our main feature was an interview with Angie and Brian Davis, the first family to stay in Cinderella Castle after winning a contest sponsored by Good Morning America. Brian, who is currently stationed in Iraq, was able to be with us for the first part of the interview before his Internet connection deteriorated, at which point he remained in contact and was able to participate remotely on a text-only basis for most of the rest of the interview. Angie joined us from their home in Arkansas. We discussed the contest, their trip, and the way in which Disney and the U.S. Military worked together to move Brian’s leave dates to allow him to join his family for this trip of a lifetime. We’ll have a feature article about the Davises next Tuesday, including some information that didn’t make it onto the show.
This week’s Featured Attraction is the Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular at Disney’s California Adventure.
This week’s Review system spotlight focuses on the Le Cellier at Epcot’s Canada pavilion.
Due to the long show length and the large number of magical moments during Angie and Brian Davis’ trip, we skipped the Magical Moment segment this week. It’ll be back next week.

Mark is once again participating in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica event. Please check out his pledge page for more information, or to donate. If you’d rather donate to other causes supported by folks in the Disney Internet community, Deb Wills (AllEarsNet) is raising money to fight breast cancer and Lou Mongello (Disney World Trivia) is raising money for the Starlight Starbright Foundation to send terminally-ill children to Walt Disney World.
