This is the time of year that Disney licensees start sharing their latest and greatest collections with publishers for their holiday gift guides. While there’s plenty of peppermint and mistletoe to come, we’ve discovered a few new collections which are much more in keeping with the spooky season.
Coco x Shoe Palace
First up is an apparel line based on the Disney-Pixar hit COCO. The Coco by Shoe Palace collection drops Friday, and features an assortment of shirts, pants, sweatshirts and a gorgeous embroidered varsity-style jacket. While the pieces are all billed as a mens collection, truly anyone could wear them.
The details on this collection are impressive. One of the sweatpants has Mariachi-style stitching down the sides, and a few pieces have a skeleton arm design. Be sure to look at both sides of each style – the designs on the back are often the most impressive.
Pricing runs $30 to $110, and the collection is only available from Shoe Palace.
Insight Editions
Insight Editions has released some really unusual formats this year, including tarot cards, advent calendars and pop-up books featuring Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Funko: The Nightmare Before Christmas Tarot Deck and Guidebook
This tarot deck is illustrated by Funko artists, and comes with a guidebook. Retail price $27.99, available now from Insight Editions or Amazon. There is also a Disney Villains version, for those who prefer the original Disney baddies.
Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Town Official Advent Calendar Christmas Town
The title is a mouthful, but this advent calendar comes with 25 days of gifts, including stickers, notes, gift tags, stationery and more. It’s a fun gift for your favorite Nightmare collector. $34.99 from Insight Editions and Barnes and Noble.

I love a well-made pop-up book, and this book looks stunning. Original illustrations by Rodrigo Tannus were engineered by designer Matthew Reinhart into a dimensional tone with dimensional surprises. $34.99 from Insight Editions and Target.
