After many trips to the Disneyland Resort, dining at the same restaurants and counter service locations over and over again can get pretty old. Eventually, you'll have tried them all, and tried them all again, and, before long, it's time for a change. Luckily, Disney does make the effort to refresh restaurants and menus from time to time,. One of the more recent ones, which came with the last round of renovations at Disney California Adventure Park, Smokejumpers Grill is a great option when you're looking for a new quick-service place to get some fuel on a park day.

Located right at the entrance to Grizzly Peak as you depart Buena Vista Street, Smokejumpers Grill is an American cuisine counter-service restaurant with a lot of great, tasty options. I recently stopped in here for the first time for lunch during a day in the park and was very satisfied with the entire experience.
The menu remains pretty close to a classic American cuisine menu, but with some unique twists that I find very interesting, and there's certainly something for everyone. With a few different options of burgers, a BBQ Jackfruit sandwich, chicken tenders, a spicy chicken sandwich, or a salad, everyone in your party should be able to find something that sounds good. And don't miss out on the chili cheese fries.

There's a great option for your little ones, as well. The “Junior Smokejumpers” menu offers a burger, chicken tenders or skewer, and a grilled cheese sandwich; and, of course, there is the macaroni and cheese option for the littlest ones in your group.

Whenever you visit Smokejumpers Grill, make sure you leave room for dessert, because they have a fantastic dessert menu. Not only do they have giant s'mores that absolutely cannot be missed, but they also have a selection of milkshakes that are super tiny. If you're feeling like a classic shake, chocolate or vanilla are options, but if you're feeling a little more adventurous, I highly recommend you try the cobbler shake. The shake, which is exactly what it sounds like, is a vanilla milkshake mixed up with a piece of cobbler, and the best part is, the flavor of the cobbler changes seasonally, so you can try it several times a year and it'll be a different shake.

Another great thing about Smokejumpers Grill is that they offer the relatively new option of mobile ordering. So, if you're in a hurry, or just incredibly hungry, pull out your phone, open the Disneyland Resort app, place your order directly from there, and head to the restaurant. You can time your arrival so that your food will be ready when, or shortly, after you get there, and you can cut out all of the waiting time before sitting down to eat.
Aside from the food options at Smokejumpers Grill, which is, of course, the main attraction, the environment of the restaurant is also great, and a lot of fun. Designed to fit the theming of the airfield that Grizzly Peak resembles, the restaurant is themed more directly to honor the smokejumpers, firefighters that parachute into wildfires to fight them. The entire environment of the space is a lot of fun and offers a fun place to sit down and relax for a while. Additionally, the restaurant offers a lot of great options for outdoor seating, covered and uncovered depending on your preferences, which is when the weather is nice.
Ultimately, Smokejumpers Grill offers a variety of tasty food options and serves as a great choice when you're looking for a place to eat next time you're visiting Disney California Adventure Park. With a fantastic and fun environment, a wide menu with options for anyone in your party, and a superb dessert menu to finish it off, you should definitely pay this restaurant a visit on your next DCA day.
