Listener Feedback Friday!
In this week’s Listener Feedback:
Jeff Peterson called in to tease Mike about his answer as the substitute
“kid” in Episode 64′s
Ask the Kid segment.
Dan the Light Man called in with another lengthy voicemail, this time with
a review of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and the Haunted Mansion.
He was a little disappointed at the recycled floats in the parade. (See the
Episode 69 interview with event
producer Laura Offerdahl, the “environmentally friendly producer.”)
Dan really loved the upgrades to the Mansion, as well.
Alex Navarro wrote in to say that he loves the multiple short show format,
and wants us to go through the entire Walt Disney World Park Update on the
Thursday MousePlanetWatch show because he rarely has time to check out the
web site and wants to get all of the WDW news. Luckily for Alex, due to listener
feedback, we started doing that with yesterday’s
show.
Dave in San Francisco wrote in, also requesting that we cover the entire
Walt Disney World Park Update on the news show.
Dan wrote in to say that he and his wife really enjoy the show, and asked
for feedback on their choice of Port Orleans Riverside for their trip next
October.
Mark really likes Riverside, though the one night that he spent at French
Quarter in January made him think that Riverside may be dropping to number
two. It’s still a great resort. Mike agrees, and he does like Riverside better
than French Quarter.
Brianne wrote in to say that she would defnitely buy a Hustle-tini shirt
with Mike’s face on it. She also loves Mike’s intros to the Ask the Kid segment.
Good news, Brianne! If it’s not ready by the time that you read this, then
the shirt that you’re looking for should be available at the MouseStation
store shortly.
Bonnie from San Diego wrote in to say that the Halloween decorations in Disneyland
look wonderful. She also sent along her Epcot Top 3 list.
- Dining:
- 3. Sunshine Seasons
- 2. Boulangerie Pastisserie
- 1. Le Cellier
- Entertainment:
- 3. Acrobats in China
- 2. Christmas storytellers in WS
- 1. Voices of Liberty
- Attractions
- 3. Test Track
- 2. Maelstrom
- 1. Spaceship Earth
Kim Storcella wrote in to say that the refurbished rooms at the Grand Floridian
are beautiful. She also said that Tutto Italia was “HEAVENLY”. She
didn’t have anything good to say about the Grand Floridian Buffet, though.
Mark ate at Tutto Italia twice during his recent trip, but still only ranks
the place as a four out of five.
Justin from Anaheim told about visiting the public part of the Disney Archives
and invited us to visit the Archives with him whenever we go back out there.
He told us that he would love to hear the new segment that we hinted at earlier,
which would feature cast member memories.
Justin also thinks that the show has improved quite a bit since the beginning.
(Thanks!)
He also sent along a photo of the intersection of Mickey Avenue and Dopey
Drive that he took while at the Studios.
Scott Ferraioli weighed in on the show, noting that he would follow the show
regardless of anyh format changes. He also included an Ask the Kid question.
Dave in San Francisco wrote in again, this time about being at Disneyland
for Gay Days Anaheim and passing along his top three attractions for Disneyland
and DCA.
- Disneyland
- 3. Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters
- 2. Pirates of the Caribbean
- 1. Space Mountain
- DCA
- 3. Monsters, Inc.: Mike and Sulley to the Rescue
- 2. California Screamin’
- 1. Disney’s Aladdin – a Musical Spectacular
With that, we ran out of time and had to hold the rest of the emails and
voicemails for next week.
Feedback and MouseFest
Please weigh in on the idea of returning to a single feed via email
or by calling our toll-free feedback line at 1-866-939-2278. Don’t forget
that we love voicemails because then we can put your voice on the show!
Don’t forget to send in your entry for our Owner’s
Locker contest by Halloween!
We also wanted to remind you that we have now scheduled our MouseFest meet
for the podcasts. The MouseStation Hustle-tini Meet will begin at 5:30 p.m.
at Classic Concoctions in the Everything Pop food court at Disney’s Pop Century
Resort for Bluetinis to get our nerve up to get up and boogie. We’ll make
sure that we’re in the lobby before 6 p.m. so that we can do The Hustle, then
return to Classic Concoctions or elsewhere to record some more for the podcast.
For more information on the Hustle-tini or any other MousePlanet-sponsored
meet at MouseFest, check out our MouseFest
information page. If you’ve got any ideas on what might make a cool MouseStation
T-shirt for MouseFest, let Mark know!
