Twitter/Facebook poll questions

Here are the responses to some questions that Mark was asking on Twitter and Facebook in the last week. If you’d like to get in on answering these questions in the future, you can follow Mark on Twitter or friend him on Facebook.

Disney runners and prospective Disney runners: What do you think of the replacement of interim-distance (10-13K) races with half-marathons?

Facebook respondents:

  • i wanted to be able to run tower of terror one day ๐Ÿ™ and now i cant ๐Ÿ™
  • I prefer to shorter races. Not to thrilled about the new half marathon.
  • Being able to run a half about once every quarter is interesting, but I think they could have and should have kept a mix of lengths. Not everyone’s going to want to run a half or a full, and there are a lot of runners who don’t see a 5K as enough of a challenge.

Twitter respondents:

  • I think it’s great! More and more people are doing long-distance races and Disney’s are the best!
  • int distances are not as big destination races. I’m more likely to travel for a half marathon
  • I’m with her. I’ll travel for a 1/2, but local 5- and 10-Ks are way too common to justify the trip.
  • what they said. ๐Ÿ™‚
  • Just ran the Race for the Taste and loved it but very excited about the new night time 1/2 marathon. Wish it was later in the month.
  • I am training for Princess but it doesn’t look good. . .

What do you think?

Again, if you’d like to get in on answering these questions in the future, you can follow Mark on Twitter or friend him on Facebook.
