Featured Topic – Going 101
In this week’s feature, Mike and Mark try to maintain their composure while
the show goes off the rails.
Because it’s Episode 101, it must be time for the show to go 101. (In the
Disney parlance, “101” means that an attraction has broken down
and is not in operation.)
In thi show, you’ll get a better look at what you dont’t hear
on the show. The stuff that Steven cleans up, which ends up on the cutting
room floor.
Well, Steven has swept up the cutting room floor to create a look at what
it’s really like when we record the show at 3 a.m.
Steven did a great job with the special effects and blooper reel assembly,
and Andrew really well in creating an X. Atencio/Haunted Mansion-like breakdown
spiel.
We hope that you laugh half a much as we did when we first heard it.
So did you think if thosl.. Let us know by sending an email
or calling our toll-free feedback line (1-866-939-2278) and let us know what
your favorites are!
Don’t forget that we’re holding a contest to encourage you to donate to Broadway
Care/Equity Fights AIDS. Everyone that donates to the cause through Mike’s
donor page will receive an entry into the random drawing for an “Anything
Can Happen” bookmark signed by Nicole Bocchi and Henry Hodges, who played
Jane and Michael Banks the night that Mike saw the show. The bookmark includes
a nickel-sized star that was part of a costume worn in the show during the
grand finale. The bookmark says “Mary Poppins, Broadway 2007.” This phase
of the fundraising campaign runs through December 4, so you’ve got until then
to donate. It doesn’t matter how much you give. Any donation
will get you entered into the contest. You can see the bookmark in question
in the show notes for Episode
93.
