Feature: The People Behind the Characters

Steven Ng interviews some of the people behind Belle, Jiminy Cricket and Tinker Bell.

Interview: Paige O’Hara

Paige O’Hara, best known to Disney fans as the voice of Belle, tells Steven about how she got started and how she got the role of Belle. She also told about her experience recording Belle’s voice and how many of her mannerisms were incorporated into the character.

She still does the voice of Belle for DVDs, video games and the like, and she now performs in “Menopause: The Musical” in Las Vegas, and in concert, and also sells art through Disney Fine Art. You can find out more at her Web site.

Interview: Eddie Carroll

Steven caught up with Eddie Carroll to discuss his experiences at the D23 Expo. Eddie told Steven about the reactions that he’s gotten from meeting people and talking to them in his and Jiminy Cricket’s voice. The interview was interrupted as a family came up to Eddie’s booth to talk to him. Steven talked to Pablo, the family’s father, about what it was like to meet Eddie. You can keep up with what Eddie is up to at his Web site.

Interview: Margaret Kerry

Margaret also talks about her experiences meeting people, and also told Steven that her book is finally coming out on February 14. She had fun playing with Steven. They talked about Steven getting an interview with Marge Champion (which we’ll have on a future show). You can see what Margaret is doing and get more information about her book at her Web site.
