Next month, there will be a new change to qualifying Lightning Lane attractions at Walt Disney World. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is undergoing significant changes this year, with new shows opening and old attractions closing to make way for a new Monsters, Inc. themed land and Disney animation–inspired spaces.
In response to these shifting changes, a new addition is going to be added to the list of available Lightning Lanes. Let’s get into the change and why I think it won’t shift your Hollywood Studios strategy.

Little Mermaid Show Added to Lightning Lane List
The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure show will be added to the list of available Lightning Lane attractions starting September 11, 2025. It will be added to the second group of available attractions.
Guests will be able to see the show available in this list as early as August 20, 2025, for use starting on September 11, 2025.
