A rainy start to the Holidays at Disneyland
Thousands of visitors braved an atmospheric river to ring in the Holidays at Disneyland this weekend. The storm dropped several of inches of rain in Anaheim, and resulted in a pared-down entertainment schedule for much of the weekend. Friday’s scheduled debut performances of A Christmas Fantasy parade and the “Believe…in Holiday Magic” fireworks were cancelled at Disneyland.
At Disneyland, “it’s a small world” Holiday opened for the season, and Storybook Land Canal Boat reopened with the new Rapunzel tower.
The Festival of Holidays also opened Friday at Disney California Adventure. Rain delayed the debut of the holiday entertainment offerings, “Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season,” “A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel!” and “Story Time with Deadpool.”
The park is decorated from Buena Vista Street to Pixar Pier, including the two Cars Land holiday overlays. There are only six Festive Food Marketplace booths this season, all located along the performance corridor.

2026 Military Salute Ticket Deal
On Veteran’s Day the Disneyland Resort released details of their 2026 Military Ticket discounts. These tickets go on sale Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
New this year is a one-day ticket, which also goes on sale November 18, but is valid for immediate use and can be used through the end of 2027 with no blockout dates.
At this time, Disney has not announced a military discount for 2026 hotel stays.
NEW 1-day Military Ticket offer
This new ticket offers eligible service members and their families Tier 0 pricing on one-day tickets any day of the year through the end of 2027. At current pricing, this offer represents a savings of to $120 off a Tier 6 day.

2026 Military Hotel discounts?
The 2025 Military Hotel discount expires December 27, 2025, and Disney’s announcement did not say whether the offer would be extended into 2026. However, for the past several years Disney did not publish the actual discounted rates, and instead directed eligible U.S. military personnel to call (800) 453-4911 to check pricing, availability and to make reservations.
If you’re making travel plans for 2026, it’s worth calling the number above to see if there are any special military offers available during your stay.
Chip & Dale’s Ornament Trail
Chip & Dale’s Ornament Trail is now on in Downtown Disney. Visitors can join the hunt by purchasing a holiday map at one of 8 participating locations in Downtown Disney or the three Disneyland Resort Hotels. Map in hand, hunt for 12 character ornaments decorating trees in Downtown Disney, and place the corresponding sticker on the map.
Once you’ve found all of the ornaments, return the map to one of two redemption locations to claim your prize – a Disney character ornament. There are five ornaments to choose from, while supplies last.
Maps are $11.99 each. If you just want the ornaments without completing the hunt, you can purchase the maps and immediately receive your keepsake at the World of Disney or Disney Pin Traders.
This and That
…Last week workers at the company-owned Starbucks location in Downtown Disney joined approximately 1,000 other workers at 65 stores across the country in a strike on the chain’s busy “Red Cup Day.” The store reopened on Friday, but operated with reduced hours Saturday and Sunday.
The labor dispute did not impact the Starbucks locations inside Disneyland or Disney California Adventure, which are operated by Disney employees represented by a different union.
…Fans can meet Chewbacca in his Life Day robe for a limited time starting November 17, 2025. While this isn’t the first time Disneyland has commemorated Life Day on Batuu, this is the first time Chewbacca has worn the red traditional robe to Black Spire Outpost.
Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo, Oga’s Cantina, the Milk Stand, and Kat Saka’s Kettle will all offer special Life Day menu items starting Friday, November 14.

We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.

This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. California Resident Park Hopper Ticket
The California Resident Park Hopper ticket is $249, a savings of more than 50% when compared to the new price ($526) of a 3-day park hopper ticket. The ticket is valid for all ages 3 and older, for visits between January 1 through May 21, 2026.
The new ticket goes on sale December 3, 2025. Theme park reservations are required to use this ticket, and we strongly recommend making them as soon as you purchase the ticket so you have the best selection of dates.
The best news is that there is no “fuse” on this ticket, and no blockout dates. You can space out your visits to catch the holiday decorations and entertainment at Disneyland before they end on January 7, return in February for the Lunar New Year celebration, and visit one more time to enjoy the Food & Wine Festival.
It is really important to note that everyone purchasing and/or using the ticket must be a resident of California. This means you can’t purchase them for out-of-state friends and family, and everyone over the age of 18 should be prepared to show government-issued photo ID at entry.

Disney does not publish the actual discounted rates, and instead asks eligible U.S. military personnel to call (800) 453-4911 to check pricing, availability and to make reservations. In past years, the offer was generally 30% to 40% off, based on room category. Concierge rooms, Signature or Premium suites, or 2-or 3-Bedroom Villas are excluded from the offer, and this offer can not be combined with any other discount.
Unlike the Walt Disney World version, the Disneyland offer allows the eligible service member to book up to two rooms, and allows their spouse (with valid and proper ID) to qualify in the absence of the service member.
