Disneyland Resort Update for October 13, 2025

October 13, 2025 by Adrienne Vincent-Phoenix

The price increase we all expected

Last Wednesday, October 8, Disneyland raised the price of single-day park tickets by as much as 9.5% depending on when you visit, with the most expensive one-day child’s ticket breaking $200 for the first time ever. Multi-day tickets also went up, and annual Magic Key passes jumped as much as $150.

The cost of the Park Hopper add-on also jumped significantly. It can now cost as much as $100 to add park hopping to a one-day ticket, depending on when you visit.

Theme Park tickets and add-ons

The Disneyland Resort uses a seasonal flex pricing structure, with the price of one-day tickets based on a seven-tier calendar.

A tier 0 ticket is lowest-priced single-day admission, and remains the same $104 as offered since 2019. Disney generally publishes the calendar 120 days in advance, and there are nearly 30 tier-0 days on the schedule through early February. Not surprisingly, reservations for these lower-cost days can book quickly.

On the other side of the spectrum is the tier 6 ticket. Valid on the busiest of days, it saw a $18 increase to $224. The $120 difference between a tier 0 and tier 6 ticket is striking, as you can save more than 50% by visiting on a “slower” day. Prices for one-day tier 2 through 5 tickets each increased $3 to $7.

The price for multi-day single-park tickets each increased by $6 to $14 for adults, with the five-day ticket now $525 per adult. Again, two tier 0 day tickets at $104 each are a better value than a 2-day ticket (now $336) if you can time your visits to off-season weekdays.

The park hopper add-on for one-day tickets is also tier based, and the price increases for longer multi-day tickets. This charge is hard to compare because of the way Disney’s website displays ticket prices, so we’ve broken it out for you in the charts below.

The option costs $70 to add to a tier 0 ticket, $80 to add to a tier 1 or 2 ticket; $90 to add to a tier 3 or 4 ticket, and $100 to add to a tier 5 or 6 ticket. You will pay $100 – $135 to add park hopping to a multi-day ticket.

Finally, Disney has again raised the price of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass service for advance purchases, and continuing demand-based pricing for same-day purchases. It’s now $34 to add Lightning Lane Multi Pass to your ticket before your visit, a $2 increase. If you decide to wait until you get to the park, the price could be $34, or it could be a lot higher based on demand.

Magic Key holders still receive a 25% discount on the purchase of Lightning Lane Multi Pass, but still can’t purchase them as an add-on until the day of their visit.

We’ve detailed all of the new prices here on MousePlanet, and have also updated the pricing chart in the weekly Update to reflect the new pricing.

Pre-increase prices available through October 20

Our partners at Get Away Today are still honoring last month’s prices on Disneyland Resort tickets through October 20, which represents a savings of up to $111 per person. Visit them online or call 1-855-GET-AWAY, and be sure to mention you saw them on MousePlanet.

Coming Soon: 50% off Park Hoppers for California Residents

Hours after the Disneyland Resort raised prices for tickets and Magic Key passes, the Resort announced a new ticket deal that’s only available to residents of California. This new offer doesn’t go on sale for nearly two months and is not valid until 2026, but it’s worth making note of if you’re planning a 2026 vacation.

The California Resident Park Hopper ticket is $249, a savings of more than 50% when compared to the new price ($526) of a 3-day park hopper ticket. The ticket is valid for all ages 3 and older, for visits between January 1 through May 21, 2026.

The new ticket goes on sale December 3, 2025. We have confirmed that our travel partners at Get Away Today will have this ticket available for sale at that time.

Theme park reservations are required to use this ticket, and we strongly recommend making them as soon as you purchase the ticket so you have the best selection of dates. You can read all of the fine print – including a residency requirement to purchase AND use the tickets – here on MousePlanet.

Rapunzel comes to Storybookland

A new miniature version of Rapunzel’s Tower from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Tangled” is coming to Storybook Land Canal Boats at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Calif., when the attraction reopens this winter. Debuting during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, this addition joins the picturesque realm of miniature homes, villages and castles from favorite fairytales. (Artist Concept/Disneyland Resort)

Disneyland’s Storybookland Canal Boats has been closed for refurbishment since July 21, along with Casey Jr. Circus Train. While we still don’t have an estimated reopening date for either attraction, last week the resort shared that a new scene featuring Rapunzel’s tower from “Tangled” can be viewed when the ride reopens “this winter.”

The new addition will be enhanced by two musical selections, “When Will My Life Begin?” by day and “I See the Light” at night.

Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby

We got a surprising press release last week announcing that The Carnaby, the restaurant planned for the second story of the new Earl of Sandwich building under construction in Downtown Disney, will feature a menu from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

An all-new Earl of Sandwich is being developed in Downtown Disney District in Anaheim, Calif. In addition to a light and airy Earl of Sandwich planned for the ground level, the second floor will be home to an all-new table service concept, The Carnaby Tavern. The Carnaby Tavern is being designed as an homage to the swinging ‘60s “British Invasion” pop and rock bands from the U.K. The restaurant will feature a patio with an indoor/outdoor full-service bar. (Artist Concept/Disneyland Resort)

The interior of Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby will pay tribute to 1960’s London, with a soundtrack of British rock classics. The menu will feature, “Chef Ramsay’s legendary Beef Wellington, crisp and tender Fish & Chips, and decadent Sticky Toffee Pudding.”

The operators say the 170-seat restaurant, “come alive after dark with a late-night program featuring live music.” They did not provided an estimated opening date, though their marketing firm did confirm that there are no plans to open a similar concept at Walt Disney World at this time.

We now know that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will drive the menu for the new Carnaby Tavern location in Downtown Disney. MousePlanet file photo.

MousePlanet reader OlegC asked via X how the live music in Downtown Disney might impact The Carnaby – or vice versa – given one of the restaurant’s second-story terraces overlooks the Downtown Disney stage. We’ll have to wait until Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby opens to know for sure.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique updates their services

We mentioned last month that Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutiques at both the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World would be rolling out a new set of package options, and adding a character visit with the Fairy Godmother. The new offerings are now available, with online bookings open up to 60 days in advance.

Prior to this change the salon offered eight packages, ranging from $20 to $450 and up. There are now four “sample” packages listed online, starting at $60 for The Adventure Package, which comes with a knight t-shirt, sword, shield and gel hairstyle.

Princess makeovers start with the $120 Fairy Tale Package, which includes a choice of hairstyle, makeup and nail polish applications, plus a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique shirt and princess sash. The $175 Enchantment Package adds a sparking tutu and handbag to the ensemble.

The Kingdom Package starts at $230, and includes the makeover plus a Disney Princess gown, crown and wand. The package also includes a choice of necklace or photo shoot near Cinderella’s carriage. No longer advertised online is the $450 package with the “heirloom-quality” gown.

The website states, ‘to commemorate the occasion, Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother may stop by to visit children,” but also warns that character appearances are subject to change without notice.

This and That…

…At press time both the Enchant and the Inspire Magic Key were still available for new purchases through the Disneyland website. The price of these two passes remained unchanged during last week’s price hike.

We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.

Tickets, Discounts and Promotions

Disneyland prices as of October 8, 2025.

Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!

This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.

Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

California Resident Park Hopper Ticket

The California Resident Park Hopper ticket is $249, a savings of more than 50% when compared to the new price ($526) of a 3-day park hopper ticket. The ticket is valid for all ages 3 and older, for visits between January 1 through May 21, 2026.

The new ticket goes on sale December 3, 2025. Theme park reservations are required to use this ticket, and we strongly recommend making them as soon as you purchase the ticket so you have the best selection of dates.

The best news is that there is no “fuse” on this ticket, and no blockout dates. You can space out your visits to catch the holiday decorations and entertainment at Disneyland before they end on January 7, return in February for the Lunar New Year celebration, and visit one more time to enjoy the Food & Wine Festival.

It is really important to note that everyone purchasing and/or using the ticket must be a resident of California. This means you can’t purchase them for out-of-state friends and family, and everyone over the age of 18 should be prepared to show government-issued photo ID at entry.
