Summer promos come to an end this week
This Thursday is the last day that Anaheim residents can use the discounted ticket offer that began last month – but only if they’ve already purchased the ticket. When the $69 ticket was announced on the Resort’s anniversary in July, the terms and conditions said the offer would expire on Thursday, September 26. The offer details also stated that “Sales may be paused or terminated at any time.”
That’s exactly what happened, and Disneyland stopped selling the ticket on September 12 without warning. The move upset quite a few guests who took to Reddit to express their frustration.
Disney was well within their rights to pause sales early, but it’s a good reminder to read all of the fine print of promotional offers to avoid unpleasant surprises.
The good news for those who did already purchase the ticket is that as of press time, reservations were still available for both theme parks all four of the remaining days the tickets can be used.
We note that the 3-day Disneyland Ticket Offer also ends this Thursday, as did the most recent Disneyland Resort Hotel discount.
Mark your calendars to make Thanksgiving reservations
If reservations open on schedule, next Sunday, September 29 will be the first day you can start to book Thanksgiving-day dining reservations at most Disneyland Resort table-service locations. This doesn’t mean that everything will open up right at 6:00 a.m. PST on Sunday – even the company’s official advice-givers over at PlanDisney admit that sometimes it’s 6:00 a.m., sometimes it’s 3:00 a.m., and sometimes they don’t open until days later. It is definitely frustrating when it’s your holiday meal at stake, so I’d recommend having a backup plan in case reservations for your first choice aren’t immediately available. You can always go back and cancel your backup reservations if your preference opens up (keep the cancelation policies in mind so you don’t get nailed with a no-show fee), and you won’t need to resort to eating turkey legs from the Disneyland vending carts. Unless that’s your idea of a perfect Thanksgiving, in which case ENJOY!
Thanksgiving may also be a time to splurge on one of the Fantasmic! dining packages, or check out the new tenants in Downtown Disney to see what they’re cooking up for the holiday.
We are also impatiently waiting for Disney to open reservations for the all-new Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays! offerings at the Disneyland Hotel, as well as the new Mickey’s Holiday Pajama Party breakfast and brunch at Storyteller’s Cafe at the Grand Californian. These meals begin on November 19, and reservations should have opened last week but had not as of press time.

- Holidays at the Disneyland Resort – Begins November 15.
2025
- 2025 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend – January 30 – February 2. Most events are sold out.
We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.
Current Discounts and Promotions
Disneyland prices as of October 11, 2023.
Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!
This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.
Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

Anaheim Resident Ticket Offer – August 5 – September 26, 2024 [No longer available to purchase]
The Anaheim Resident Ticket Offer is a one-day, one-park ticket to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure for just $69 per person, ages 3 and older. You must be a resident of the city of Anaheim (ZIP codes 92801 – 92809, 92812, 92814 -92817, 92825, 92850 and 92899) to take advantage of this offer.
You can purchase these promotional tickets online through the Disneyland website, by phone at 800-506-6720, or in person at the Disneyland Resort ticket booths. Eligible residents are limited to purchasing five tickets per person, per day.Disney says proof of eligible residency, including valid government-issued photo ID, is required for purchase and admission, which means you can not buy this ticket for out-of-town friends and family.
There is no option to upgrade this ticket to a one-day park hopper ticket or a multi-day ticket. It’s also important to note that theme park reservations are required to use these tickets – you can’t just buy them and walk right in without a reservation. Disney recommends checking the reservations availability calendar before you purchase the tickets, and make your reservations immediately to secure the dates you want.

3-Day Disneyland Ticket Offer – June 10 – September 26, 2024 [No longer available to purchase]
Visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks three weekdays between June 10 and September 26, 2024 for as little as $149 for ages 3-9, or $249 for ages 10 and older using a new discounted ticket which goes on sale May 29, 2024. That represents a savings of up to $219 off the regular price of a three-day, one-park-per-day ticket for children ages 3-9. The adult offer is a $141 discount, and is the same price than the summer 2023 deal.
You can also choose between a ticket good Monday through Thursday OR a slightly more expensive ticket good any day of the week. There are also options to add park hopping and Disney Genie+ service to your ticket at the time of purchase.
This new offer differs from past discouts discounts, so be sure to pay close attention to details before you purchase.
The 3-Day Disneyland Ticket Offer is a 3-day, 1-park-per-day ticket that offers admission to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure:
- The weekday ticket – starting at $149 for ages 3-9; $249 for ages 10 and older. Three weekdays (Mondays through Thursdays only) between June 10 and September 26, 2024
- The any day ticket – starting at $199 for ages 3-9; $299, for ages 10 and older. Three days (any day of the week, including weekends) between June 10 and September 26, 2024
You can use every day of the 3-Day Disneyland Ticket at the same theme park, or visit different parks on different days, but you can’t use it to enter both parks on the same day unless you add the park-hopper option ($70 per ticket)
There is no “fuse” on this ticket, which means that you can use the first admission on June 10 and wait until September 26 to use the remaining admission. However, remember that you must make a theme park reservation for each day that you want to use the ticket. Disney also warns that reservations for this category of ticket are not guaranteed for any particular dates, and that a date may sell out in this ticket category though other ticket types have reservations of available. It is probably best to purchase early and make reservations as soon as they open for your desired travel dates. Each day of use constitutes one full day of use.
Tickets expire on September 26, 2024, and have no holiday blackouts. That means that you can visit on the 4th of July holiday using a weekday ticket, assuming reservations are available.
May purchase up to 15 tickets per eligible person per day. Tickets are nonrefundable, may not be sold or transferred for commercial use and exclude activities/events separately priced. Offer may not be combined with other ticket discounts or promotions. Subject to restrictions and change or cancellation without notice.
Visit Get Away Today starting May 29, 2024, to take advantage of this ticket offer! Book at Get Away Today or call 1-855-GET-AWAY, and be sure to mention you saw them on MousePlanet.
