The on-again, off-again cycle of Disneyland’s Magic Key sales has taken another predictable turn. Sales of new Magic Keys, the updated version of an annual passport, most recently resumed on May 20, 2025. As is typical, the available number of the lowest-priced Magic Keys sold out first – the $974 Enchant Key, and the $599 Imagine Key which is available only to residents of Southern California.
However, the two most expensive keys – the $1,374 Believe Key, and the $1,749 Inspire Key, which comes with the fewest blockout dates – were still available for months after sales resumed.
Last week Disneyland suspended new sales of all Magic Keys of any tier, leaving would-be buyers disappointed. The good news for existing Magic Key holders is that they can still renew their key when their current pass expires. Magic Key holders who opt not to renew during their eligibility window will need to wait until Magic Key sales resume again to purchase a new pass if they wish to do so.
Disney never gives much advance warning when new Magic Key sales will resume, so it’s hard to know if you’ll have another chance to purchase one as a holiday gift this year. We find it likely that Disney will offer Magic Keys for sale at least one more time this year, likely after the annual price increase hits sometime in October.
