Fall Colors at the Magic Kingdom

October 6, 2015 by Donald and Bonnie Fink

One of our absolute favorite times of the year at Walt Disney World is when the fall colors go up on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. First, it signals to us that the seasons are about to change. And yes, we know that in Florida, what that means is that it's not going to be quite as hot as it was all summer—but we'll take it. But second—and most important to us—is that things are about to get busy. We so much enjoy the holidays around Walt Disney World, and it's about to start again for this season.

As you walk down Main Street, look up to the second floor windows and ledges. You'll find some of the most interesting jack-o'-lanterns ever. Photo by Bonnie Fink.

Not much to be said. There's always a message in Disney decorations. Photo by Bonnie Fink.

One activity that's especially fun is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. This event takes place this year (2015) between September 15 and November 1. We've attended this event in the past and thought it was a great time for everyone. You can learn more about it on Disney's website.

If you haven't had the opportunity to see the Magic Kingdom during this time of year with the fall decorations, you would be surprised at how transformed this park is with the earthy colors of the harvest.

We always look forward to it, and when it arrives, even though many of the decorations are the same from year to year, we're never disappointed. We think you'll like it. too.
