Disneyland Resort Update for March 2, 2026

March 2, 2026 by Adrienne Vincent-Phoenix

Food & Wine Festival begins Friday

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival begins this Friday, bringing with it new food and beverage offerings, returning entertainment favorites, and upcharge seminars for wine and spirit lovers.

2026 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival – Carbonara Pizzetta – LA Style (David Nguyen/Disneyland Resort)

Food & Beverage offerings

Food is the focus for many visitors, and the 8 Festival Marketplace booths will offer a variety of options with a California flair. This year’s booths are:

  • LA Style
  • Peppers Cali-Ente
  • Uncork California
  • Mercado de Antojos
  • California Craft Brews
  • Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo
  • Garlic Kissed
  • Golden Dreams

You can scroll the Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide for detailed menu offerings for each booth. As of press time, the menus and pricing had not been updated on the Disneyland website.

As we’ve noted over the past several events, the menus at the Festival Marketplace booths now tend heavily towards the beverage offerings, with only one or two food items available at each. However, more of the restaurants and stands in Disney California Adventure participate in the Festival, and some of the best dishes will be found off the parade route.

In addition to the Festival Marketplaces listed above, be sure to check out these additional locations:

  • Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream
  • Award Wieners
  • Studio Catering Co.
  • Schmoozies!
  • Pym Test Kitchen
  • Terran Treats
  • Cozy Cone Motel
  • Aunt Cass Café
  • Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill
  • Lucky Fortune Cookery
  • Lamplight Lounge (reservations recommended)
  • Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining (reservations recommended)
  • Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta
  • Paradise Beer Garden
  • Paradise Garden Grill
  • Smokejumpers Grill

Select food carts throughout DCA will also offer the following Festival items:

Food Items:

  • Lemon-Pepper Turkey Leg: Turkey leg with lemon pepper seasoning
  • Pull-apart Pizza Bread filled with seasoned ricotta and topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni slices
  • Blue Vanilla Cotton Candy: Blue vanilla cotton candy (Redeemable with Sip and Savor Pass from Mar. 6 through Apr. 27)
  • Watermelon Cotton Candy: Pink watermelon cotton candy (Redeemable with Sip and Savor Pass from Mar. 6 through Apr. 27)

Sip & Savor pass

Festival-goers can again purchase a Sip & Savor Pass good for four or eight tasting portions at participating locations. The Mickey shaped plate shown below is also avilable with the purchae of a pass, while supplies last.

Pricing has not been released for this pass nor for the Festival Marketplace booths, so we don’t know if this pass is worth the price this year. We’ll update next week once we’ve seen the pricing. Disneyland Magic Key holders receive a discount on the 8-credit Sip & Savor Pass, and will also receive a unique lanyard for the pass.

Wine & Spirit seminars

Festival goers can attend wine tasting and mixology classes on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the Festival. These events are $30 per person, and are limited to guests 21 and older only.

The Mixology Education & Cocktail Making Seminars are held at Sonoma Terrace at Noon and 2:00 p.m., and advance online registration is required. Each class features a different spirit, and focuses on recipes from one the bars and lounges at the Disneyland Resort.

The Wine Education & Tasting Seminars are offered at Sonoma Terrace at 4:00 p.m., and advance online registration is required. Each features a different winery, and are led by winemakers and Sommeliers.

Again, advance registration is required, and many of the events have already sold out.

Entertainment

Chef Goofy will return for a meet-and-greet again this year, and the popular Cookin’ with the Jammin’ Chefs show returns with Chip, Dale, Daisy Duck and Clarabelle Cow joining the Jammin’ Chefs for antics in Paradise Gardens Park.

For youngers guests, Confection Purrfection with the SuperKitties returns on Saturday and Sundays in Hollywood Land. This popular offering lets junior chefs decorate their own cupcake.

Disney mentions Culinary Demonstrations on the Festival website, but at press time there were no details about these offerings. There are also no details about the musical groups which may appear on the Festival Stage in Paradise Gardens Park

Magic Key offers during Food & Wine Festival

As noted above, Magic Key holders can purchase the 8-credit Sip & Savor Pass at a reduced price at the Festival, and will receive a unique lanyard for the pass.

As usual, there will be a special Festival t-shirt design exclusively for Magic Key holders,

However, the offer that we’re looking forward to the most is the “Magic Key Disney California Adventure Map Activity,” and the souvenir poster we hope will be offered as the prize.

A post shared by Disneyland (@disneyland)

Disney has released very few details about this activity, saying only that Magic Key holders will “search for attractions, hidden gems and more celebrating the 25th anniversary of the park.” Once complete, Magic Key holders will receive “a collectible Soarin’ Over California attraction poster.”

This weekend Disneyland posted the video above via Instagram, showing artist TJ Norris handcrafting a block print of a Soarin’ poster. Fans were immediately interested in how to purchase the print. Personally, I’m crossing my fingers that this is the poster Magic Key holders will receive at the completion of this quest – or at least that we’ll be able to purchase merchandise featuring this beautiful image.

Avengers Campus expansion

Walt Disney Imagineering just shared a preview of the Avengers Campus expansion, already underway in Disney California Adventure. A permit for this work describes it as a “110,757 sq. ft. attraction building with restrooms, offices and breakroom. Construct 3,425 sq. ft. of canopies and (9) awnings.” The building permit lists a stated value of the work at $60M

Spring refurbishment updates

Some new refurbishments have appeared on the calendar this spring. The additions include:

Disneyland
  • Roger Rabbit’s Cartoon Spin – closes for refurbishment March 30, 2026. Reopening date not published.
  • Disneyland Monorail – closes for refurbishment March 30, 2026. Reopening date not published.
Disney California Adventure
  • Toy Story Midway Mania – closes for refurbishment April 6, 2026. Reopening date not published.

Disneyland has also filed a permit for what appears to be an extensive refurbishment of Pirates of the Caribbean, though the work appears to be mainly structural – adding ladders, installing new platforms and walkways, and replacing existing mechanical elements. “Scene #11” will have work done on the rockwork, projectors and speakers. The attraction is not currently listed on the refurbishment schedule, and we don’t know when the work will take place.

Disneyland After Dark: 70 Years of Favorites this week

There are two Disneyland After Dark: 70 Years of Favorites events scheduled this week, on Tuesday and Thursday March 3 and 5, and you can still get tickets. At press time, tickets were still available for both nights via the Disneyland website.

The after-hours parties start at 9:00 p.m., and end at 1:00 a.m. Attendees can enter Disneyland as early as 6:00 p.m. on event nights, so if you’re visiting Disneyland on either day you should prepare for crowds to increase as closing time approaches.

This event is of course tied to Disneyland’s ongoing 70th Anniversary celebration, and includes tributes to favorite characters and attractions from today and days gone by. For many, the highlight is likely to be the Videopolis Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, a revival of the hot spot of 1980s Disneyland.

For others, the big draw may be the opportunity to see some favorite characters of the past. In a video posted to the new DisneylandResortPresident account on Instagram, Disneyland Resort President Thomas Mazloum provided a preview of who will appear at the event.

A post shared by Thomas Mazloum (@disneylandresortpresident)

With tickets still available, Disney added new details about entertainment at the event. Fans of Disneyland musicals of the past may want to catch “Sounds of Magic” a “riverfront serenade” featuring live performances of favorite songs from “Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee,” “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” and more. Last week, Disneyland shared an update about food offerings for this event on Instagram.

  • Gay Days [Unofficial event] – September 18-20, 2026. Details on the event website.
  • The Holidays at Disneyland – Begin November 18, 2026

We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.

Tickets, Discounts and Promotions

Disneyland prices as of October 8, 2025.

Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!

This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.

Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

Save even more when you purchase the California Resident Park Hopper ticket from MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

California Resident Park Hopper Ticket

The California Resident Park Hopper ticket is $249, a savings of more than 50% when compared to the new price ($526) of a 3-day park hopper ticket. The ticket is valid for all ages 3 and older, for visits between January 1 through May 21, 2026.

Theme park reservations are required to use this ticket, and we strongly recommend making them as soon as you purchase the ticket so you have the best selection of dates.

The best news is that there is no “fuse” on this ticket, and no blockout dates. You can space out your visits to catch the holiday decorations and entertainment at Disneyland before they end on January 7, return in February for the Lunar New Year celebration, and visit one more time to enjoy the Food & Wine Festival.

It is really important to note that everyone purchasing and/or using the ticket must be a resident of California. This means you can’t purchase them for out-of-state friends and family, and everyone over the age of 18 should be prepared to show government-issued photo ID at entry.

Find full details here.

Fortunately, Disneyland has just released their full 2026 Event and Festival calendar so you can be ready to make reservations for the events you want to attend.

You can change your dates later, but Disney will set aside only a limited number of reservations for this ticket type each day and so you may not be able to get the dates you want later. As with the prior offer, the terms state, “reservation availability for Kids’ Special Offer Ticket holders is not guaranteed for any date, and reservations may be difficult to get for any particular date, especially as the ticket expiration date approaches.”

While we wait for Disneyland to release their next hotel special, you can contact MousePlanet’s travel partner Get Away Today and let them find the best deal for you. Get Away Today or call 1-855-GET-AWAY, and be sure to mention you saw them on MousePlanet.

Disney usually allows customers to purchase more than one of the offers in a qualifying transaction, so if you spend $40 or more you can buy both items currently available if you wish. If you’re a passholder, the minimum purchase is calculated after your discount, and your discount does not apply to the promotional item.
