Disneyland changes ticket prices
That sneaky mouse. We all expected Disneyland ticket prices would increase last week, but we woke up Tuesday morning to several surprises. The first surprise was that the price change came a day earlier than expected. The much bigger news is that the price increase was much smaller than in recent years – and in some cases was a price decrease. When taken with the recent discount offers, like the just-dropped Costco deal, it seems Disney realizes they’ve hit a ceiling, albeit temporary.
Effective Tuesday, October 6, Disneyland raised the price of some single-day park tickets by $5 depending on when you visit. The resort kept the cost of both the least-expensive and most-expensive one-day tickets unchanged, so there is no new high-price record this year.
The price of some multi-day tickets went up, others actually went down, and the cost of the Park Hopper add-on also decreased in some cases. The cost of a “fully loaded” 5-day ticket with park hopping and Lightning Lane Multi Pass service, went up by just $10 to $835 per adult.
There was no change to Magic Key pricing or parking this time around.
Theme Park tickets and add-ons
One-day tickets
The Disneyland Resort uses a seasonal flex pricing structure, with the price of one-day tickets based on a seven-tier calendar.
A tier 0 ticket is lowest-priced single-day admission, and remains the same $104 as offered since 2019. Disney generally publishes the calendar 120 days in advance, and there are more than 30 tier-0 days on the schedule through early February. Not surprisingly, reservations for these lower-cost days can book quickly.
On the other side of the spectrum is the tier 6 ticket, valid on the busiest of days. This ticket is also unchanged, and sits at $224. Still, the $120 difference between a tier 0 and tier 6 ticket is significant, as you can save more than 50% by visiting on a “slower” day. Prices for one-day tier 2 through 4 tickets each increased $5; there was no change in the cost of a tier 5 ticket.
The park hopper add-on for one-day tickets is also tier based, and the price increases for longer multi-day tickets. The option costs $75 to add to a tier 0 ticket (a $5 increase), $80 to add to a tier 1 or 2 ticket (no change); $90 to add to a tier 3 or 4 ticket (no change), and $95 to add to a tier 5 or 6 ticket (a $5 decrease).
This charge is hard to compare because of the way Disney’s website displays ticket prices, so we’ve broken it out for you in the charts below.
| Ticket & Season | Adult One-Park | Child (3–9) One-Park | Park Hopper Add-On |
|---|---|---|---|
| One Day – Tier 0 | $104 | $98 (no change) | $75 ($5 increase) |
| One Day – Tier 1 | $134 ($5 increase) | $124 ($5 increase) | $80 (no change) |
| One Day – Tier 2 | $154 ($5 increase) | $144 ($5 increase) | $80 (no change) |
| One Day – Tier 3 | $174 ($5 increase) | $164 ($5 increase) | $90 (no change) |
| One Day – Tier 4 | $189 ($5 increase) | $179 ($5 increase) | $90 (no change) |
| One Day – Tier 5 | $199 (no change) | $189 (no change) | $95 ($5 decrease) |
| One Day – Tier 6 | $224 (no change) | $214 (no change) | $95 ($5 decrease) |
Disney also adjusted the price of multi-day tickets and the park hopper add-on, raising some prices while lowering others. You will pay $110 – $140 to add park hopping to a multi-day ticket.
Multi-day tickets
| Ticket | Adult One-Park | Child (3–9) One-Park | Park Hopper Add-On |
|---|---|---|---|
| Two Day | $335 ($1 decrease) | $315 (no change) | $110 ($10 increase) |
| Three Day | $425 ($11 increase) | $400 (no change) | $125 ($15 increase) |
| Four Day | $480 (no change) | $450 (no change) | $130 ($10 increase) |
| Five Day | $520 ($5 decrease) | $485 (no change) | $140 ($5 increase) |
Lightning Lane
There was no change to the price of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass service for advance purchases, and same-day purchases are still priced based on demand. It’s $34 to add Lightning Lane Multi Pass to your ticket before your visit. If you decide to wait until you get to the park, the price could still be $38, or it could be a lot higher based on demand.
Magic Key holders still receive a 25% discount on the purchase of Lightning Lane Multi Pass, but still can’t purchase them as an add-on until the day of their visit.
The Lightning Lane Premier Pass is still capped at $449 on peak days.

Don’t wait to buy that Costco deal
We shared last week that Costco had released a new Disneyland ticket offer for fall 2026 travel. We’ve since heard from several readers that their local Costco warehouse was either running low on the tickets or had completely sold out.

If your local warehouse is still selling the tickets, grab them while you can. Then, be sure to make your theme park reservations as soon as possible. You can read all of the terms and conditions about this new offer here on MousePlanet.
Disneyland makes major Magic Key policy change
A long-awaited policy change should thrill Disneyland Magic Key holders. In an email sent this morning, Disneyland Resort President Jill Estorino announced that Magic Key holders will be allowed to cancel their theme park reservations the same day, and that no-show penalties will no longer be assessed.

This is a big benefit for both a Magic Key holder who finds that they can’t make it to the park on a day where they had booked a reservation , and also to Magic Key holders who are looking to pick up a same-day reservation on a previously sold-out day. To whatever extent this keeps Magic Key holders who are fighting a cold or flu from visiting a park just to avoid a no-show penalty, this is also great for everyone else in the parks.
Estorino’s email asks Magic Key holders to please still cancel reservations they can’t use so those can be offered to other visitors. Let’s hope everyone heeds that request, and that Disney doesn’t find a need to reinstate the no-show policy.
Permit update shrinks new parking structure shrinks
Disneyland recently broke ground on a massive new parking structure and arrivals complex on the east side of the resort, but an updated permit shows the structure will be a bit smaller than first announced.
Theme Park IQ first reported that the updated permit reduces the size of the structure from 3,257,394 to 3,115,680 sq. ft., and also from 8 stories to 7. There are to be 14 fewer electric vehicle chargers than first reported.
Disneyland last month updated the concept art for the new walkway bridge over Harbor Blvd. that will carry visitors from the new parking structure to the main entrance complex. Gone are the trees and shrubs which lined the bridge in the original artwork, but there now appear to be shade structures protecting the walkway.

Disney is making major changes in the esplanade between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure in preparation for the new entry plaza. One bank of ticket booths on the east side was removed two weeks ago, and the second has been surrounded by construction walls in preparation for demolition.

2027
- Super Bowl LXI Champions Cavalcade at Disneyland – Monday, February 15. The winners of Super Bowl LXI will appear in a cavalcade down Main Street, U.S.A. Magic Key holders can make theme park reservations for that date starting Monday November 16, 2026.
We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.
Tickets, Discounts and Promotions
Disneyland prices as of October 8, 2025.
Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!
This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.
Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

Anaheim Resident Ticket Offer [No longer available for sale]
Anaheim residents can visit Disneyland during the final weeks of the “Celebrate Happy” promotion or the first weeks of Halloween Time for as little as $71 with an offer released in honor of Disneyland’s 71st anniversary.
The Anaheim Resident Ticket Offer is on sale now, and is valid for visits from July 20 through October 8, 2026. The one-day, one-park ticket offers admission to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure for just $71 per person, ages 3 and older. You can upgrade this ticket to a one-day park-hopper ticket for $33 more, and also add Lightning Lane Multi Pass for an additional fee.
The catch is that you need to be a resident of the city of Anaheim to take advantage of this offer. Tickets may be purchased online starting July 16. Your payment method must have an Anaheim address in zip codes 92801 through 92809, 92812, 92814 through 92817, 92825, 92850 and 92899.
We also want to note that the terms and conditions state, “Sales may be paused or terminated at any time.” In 2024, Disney ended sales of the Anaheim resident ticket two weeks prior to the official end of the promotion, so we recommend purchasing the tickets as early as you can to avoid disappointment.
Eligible residents can purchase up to eight (8) tickets per person, per day, but each person who uses a ticket must show proof of residency in an eligible zip code. An Anaheim resident is not permitted to purchase tickets on behalf of others who are not Anaheim residents. This means everyone in your party (18 and older) should come prepared to show proof of residency in the eligible ZIP codes to use this promotional offer.
D23 Gold Member Discount
D23 Gold Members can save 5% off the gate price when they purchase one of these ticket options using a new exclusive offer available on the D23 website:

- Standard Theme Park Ticket, Multi-Day Park Hopper Ticket
- Standard Theme Park Ticket, Multi-Day One Park Per Day Ticket
Gold members can also get 5% off the Lightning Lane add-on for any Disneyland tickets purchased through this offer.
The offer expires December 30, 2026. One-day tickets must be used by December 31, 2026. Multi-day tickets must be used within 13 days of first use or by January 12, 2027, whichever occurs first. Theme park reservations are required.
We should note that, as with most discounts, this offer may be canceled or changed at any time. If you’re looking to take advantage of this offer, it’s probably a good idea to purchase tickets as soon as your travel plans are confirmed, and definitely before the expected ticket price increase in October.
Note: this offer is valid only for D23 Gold Members. D23 General Members are not eligible. Visit the D23 website for a list of other discounts available to D23 Gold and General members at the Disneyland Resort.
