Disneyland Resort Update for October 26, 2026

October 26, 2026 by Adrienne Vincent-Phoenix

Christmas Day dining reservations open today

Today is the 60-day mark to book dining reservations for Christmas Day at the Disneyland Resort. There are three holiday character meal options at the Disneyland Resort Hotels:

  • Daisy’s Holiday Pajama Party breakfast and brunch at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel
  • Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel
  • Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays at the Disneyland Hotel.

If you’re visiting Disneyland on Christmas, you can book a sit-down meal at the Blue Bayou, Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe or River Belle Terrace. Dining options at Disney California Adventure include Carthay Circle Restaurant, Lamplight Lounge, Wine Country Trattoria.

Reservations open at 6:00 a.m. Pacific.

The Plaza Inn will not offer A Christmas Fantasy Parade dining package on December 24 or 25, but the meal resumes December 26 through 30.

Indy boasts better efficiency after refurbishment

Indiana Jones Adventure reopened last Friday, October 23 with some enhancements that most riders can’t actually see, but will definitely benefit from. And thanks to these improvements, at least 1,000 more riders can experience the attraction each day.

In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, Nicholas DiBernardo, an area manager for Attractions Engineering Services, touted three major improvements made during this last refurbishment that will help keep the ride running more reliably.

According to DiBernardo, the top reason Indiana Jones Adventure closes during the day is due to passenger items falling from the ride vehicle onto the track. This refurbishment added larger storage pouches to the seats, which should hopefully keep those Loungefly backpacks and Stanley bottles safely secured.

Another change was a switch from hydraulic to electrical actuators on the doors to the temple in the opening scene. DiBernardo told The Times that this makes the doors more reliable, and allows more vehicles to be dispatched. Finally, the complex network of systems which return the ride vehicle back to the precise unload and loading position were updated to improve reliability and ensure fewer empty ride vehicles are dispatched.

Less downtime means more riders can explore the temple with Indy each day, an improvement that will be most appreciated during the upcoming busy holiday season.

Star View Station refurbishment extended

Disney Vacation Club alerted members last week that the Star View Station, the member lounge in Tomorrowland, is now planned to reopen in “early 2027.” The lounge closed for refurbishment in July, and was originally expected to reopen sometime this fall.

A temporary lounge is now open in the Starcade in Tomorrowland exclusively for DVC members and their guests, but members were also alerted so some pending closures of that alternate. The email sent to DVC members read, “Please note that the temporary lounge will be closing at 4:00 p.m. on October 29 and will be closed on November 7 and 21, as well as December 5 and 6, 2026.”

Disney Vacation Club Halloween Party

Disney Vacation Club members who are eligible for Membership Extras benefits can attend a complimentary Halloween Party this Saturday, October 31 at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. The party runs from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., and in-person advance registration is required.

Eligible members can visit the Discovery Tower of The Villas at Disneyland Hotel or Discovery Studio at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa to reserve their entry time. Registration opened Sunday, October 25, and availability is limited. Each eligible member can bring 4 guests.

Magic Key giveaway begins today

Photo from Disneyland Magic Key portal

Starting today, Monday, October 26, Magic Key holders can pick up a new lenticular card featuring one of the portraits from the ride. The first week’s card comes with a frame for the collection, which commemorates 25th anniversary of the Haunted Mansion Holiday.

The promotional items are available while supplies last during park hours at the Disneyana Shop in Disneyland and at Kingswell Camera in Disney California Adventure. They are also available at the WonderGround Gallery in Downtown Disney for those passholders who are blocked out on a release date, or are otherwise unable to get a park reservation.

A new card is available each Monday through November 16, while supplies last. There is a limit of one frame and one of each card per Magic Key holder.

This and That

…The reopening of the Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace has been pushed back to late January, 2027.

…At press time, all four tiers of Magic Key passes are still available for new purchase and renewal.

6 years ago @Disneyland – Ursula took over the lobby of the then-Paradise Pier Hotel for a Halloween overlay. I’m curious if anyone knows where this masthead figure came from? Was it created for this display, or was it repurposed from somewhere else in the resort? https://t.co/DgW8gHYHod

Refurbishments and Attraction Closures

Attraction, restaurants, and stores that are closed for refurbishment are noted below.

All information was current as of this article’s publication date. MousePlanet does not edit past Resort Updates; for the most up-to-date refurbishment calendar, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update, visit Disneyland.com or use the Disneyland smartphone application on your iOS or Android device.

Disneyland

Closed attractions:

  • Pixie Hollow – closed Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Star View Station (DVC member lounge) – closed for refurbishment July 27. A temporary lounge is now open in the Starcade in Tomorrowland exclusively for DVC members and their guests. The lounge is now expected to reopen early 2027.
  • Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace – closed for refurbishment. Now expected to reopen late January, 2027
  • “it’s a small world” – closes October 30 to install the holiday overlay. “it’s a small world” Holiday is scheduled to open later than November 13.

Closed shopping:

  • Royal Reception
Disney California Adventure

Closed attractions:

  • Chiller at Paradise Gardens Park – closed for refurbishment July 26. This outdoor vending cart is located near Silly Symphony Swings, and serves a variety of items, including frozen slushies. The closure is likely due to the adjacent construction site for the new Coco attraction. The Disneyland website indicates this refurbishment ends November 29, but that is not confirmed.
  • Redwood Creek Challenge Trail – closed November 1 through 12 to remove the Villains Grove overlay and for seasonal refurbishment.
Downtown Disney District & Resort Hotels

Downtown Disney:

  • Jamba (formerly Jamba Juice) – Closed as of July 5. Will be replaced by Bopo Go cafe.
  • Former ESPN Zone building – permits call for splitting the building into three units, with two ground-level retail spaces. The first of these, Lululemon, is now open. The second floor is now being used by Disney as a hospitality training facility. The second ground-level space has yet to open.

Grand Californian Hotel

  • A new two-story club lounge is planned for the Grand Californian Hotel, and will be constructed on the 5th and 6th floors overlooking the grand lobby.
  • Guest room renovations will take place in phases through the fall.

Disneyland Hotel

  • Steakhouse 55 – permanently closed. The lobby bar has reopened as the Broken Spell Lounge.

Pixar Place Hotel

2027

  • Super Bowl LXI Champions Cavalcade at Disneyland – Monday, February 15. The winners of Super Bowl LXI will appear in a cavalcade down Main Street, U.S.A. Magic Key holders can make theme park reservations for that date starting Monday November 16, 2026.

We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.

Tickets, Discounts and Promotions

Disneyland prices as of October 6, 2026.

Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!

This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.

Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.
