August 10, 2026 by Adrienne Vincent-Phoenix

D23 week in Anaheim

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan event returns to Anaheim this week. MousePlanet file photo.

Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration is over, and attention now shifts to the next two major events on the Disney calendar: The 2026 D23 Expo, and Halloween Time. While the anniversary decorations around the Resort are replaced by pumpkins and ghosts, the city of Anaheim is ready to welcome a massive influx of Disney fans.

D23 off-campus events

This week brings a series of events at venues around Anaheim leading up to the start of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan event.

Monday, August 10 – D23 Bingo Night at Bottle Logic Brewing
5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The kickoff event at a local brewery is open to everyone, no admission or membership required. Attendees can gather with other Disney friends, enjoy a brew or a specialty drink*, enjoy snacks from a local food truck, and play a round or two of bingo.

* Only guests 21+ with valid government-issued photo identification may consume alcoholic beverages.

Tuesday, August 11 – D23 Night at the Anaheim Packing District

Everyone is invited to gather at this popular Anaheim food hall for Disney-inspired music, trivia and more. Guests can also purchase a World Taste ticket and enjoy four ($33.85) or seven ($55.19) samples of dishes from a collection of Anaheim Packing District eateries. Purchase tickets from the event website; sales end August 10.

Wednesday, August 12 – D23 Night at Angel Stadium
First pitch 7:10 p.m.

Hang out with fellow Disney fans and watch the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim take on the Texas Rangers. The first 23,000 fans to enter the stadium receive a themed D23 Mickey Mouse Bobblehead. If you’re lucky, you’ll get one of the randomly-distributed Golden Mickey figures.

Tickets start at $29.75. D23 members who purchase tickets through the special D23 link receive access to a D23-only event area, and a second exclusive D23 item.

D23 day at Disneyland

D23 Day at Disneyland is this Thursday, August 13, the day before the 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event begins on August 14. As with the last event in 2024, this D23 Day at Disneyland will feature a free gift for the first guests into the park, a pair of Mickey Mouse ears.

A highlight of the day is the Disney Legends Cavalcade, taking place at 1:30 p.m. on Main Street, U.S.A. A host of Disney Legends, including newly-inducted members who will be honored at the Disney Legends Ceremony at the Honda Center on Sunday night, will participate in the processional.

One big addition this year is a live production of “Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration” at Disney California Adventure. The concerts are at  8:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. in Paradise Gardens Park. From the description on the Disney website, the show will utilize the World of Color fountains and lighting infrastructure to accent the performances.

The concert will be streamed on Disney+, and will be broadcast on Disney Channel, Freeform, and The Wonderful World of Disney on ABC on Sunday, Aug. 16. Park guests can enter into a virtual queue for the opportunity to attend one of the two performances. Full details are on the Disney Parks Blog.

There is much more planned for D23 Day at Disneyland, including merchandise drops, photo opportunities with rarely-seen characters, a new Haunted Mansion popcorn bucket, and even a Disney Weddings pop-up at the Disneyland Hotel. Full details about all of these events are here on MousePlanet.

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event takes place August 14 through 16 at the Anaheim Convention Center and the Honda Center. The 3-day convention of all things Disney and more fills the entire Anaheim Convention Center by day, and at night overflows to the Honda Center for three showcase presentations.

  • Friday, August 14 – Disney Entertainment Showcase at 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 15 – Disney Experiences Showcase at 7:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, August 16 – Disney Legends Award Ceremony at 1:30 p.m.

MousePlanet will be there for the whole weekend, bringing you announcements and updates as they happen. We expect the biggest theme park headlines will come during the Disney Experiences Showcase on Saturday night. You can follow along from home via our main social media channels.

If you’re looking to attend in person, tickets are still available for Sunday.

The shows go on

World of Color – ONE returns to Disney California Adventure this week. MousePlanet file photo.

Halloween entertainment begins August 21, so there is still time to check out some nighttime entertainment held over from the 70th Anniversary, or returning to the resort after hiatus.

“World of Color – ONE” returns to Disney California Adventure starting tonight, August 10. Be sure to check the daily entertainment schedule for the date you plan to visit, because the show is not presented nightly. World of Color will not show this Thursday, August 13 due to the Disney Princess concert at DCA that evening, and does not run on nights when Disney California Adventure hosts Oogie Boogie Bash.

It also appears that World of Color is on a brief hiatus August 23 – 30. On nights when World of Color is showing, you can book the dessert party or dining package.

Tapestry of Happiness, a projection show which uses the facade of “it’s a small world” as a screen, has been extended at least through September 19, which is as far as the schedule had been released at the time of publication. We will know later this week if the show will remain into the Halloween season, but we suspect September 20th will be the last showing this year.

The Paint the Night Parade will run through August 20 at Disneyland. MousePlanet file photo.

The Paint the Night parade and the Wondrous Journeys projection show and fireworks are also scheduled through August 20, 2026. It does not appear there will be a nighttime parade after Paint the Night ends until A Christmas Fantasy Parade returns November 13, but the Halloween Screams fireworks are on the schedule starting August 21 for the duration of Halloween Time.

Oogie Boogie Bash sales tracking

  • Tuesday, October 13
  • Thursday, October 15

  • Thursday, October 22
  • Sunday, October 25
  • Saturday, October 31

All remaining 17 public event nights are still available, including Sunday, August 30, the only remaining Sunday date. Tickets are also still available for the member-exclusive D23 Night at Oogie Boogie Bash on September 27.

If you are still seeking tickets for one of the sold-out nights, you can book the Oogie Boogie Bash VIP Tour. This experience includes admission to the event for up to 8 guests, expedited entrance to attractions and entertainment during the event, a VIP lounge experience, and added perks and amenities. 2026 tours start at $7500; call (714) 300-7710 for details.

We will continue to track ticket sales each week through the season.

  • Gay Days [Unofficial event] – September 18-20, 2026. Details on the event website.
  • The Holidays at Disneyland – November 13, 2026 through January 6, 2027.

We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.

Tickets, Discounts and Promotions

Disneyland prices as of October 8, 2025.

Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!

This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.

Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

You can change your dates later, but Disney will set aside only a limited number of reservations for this ticket type each day and so you may not be able to get the dates you want later. Full details available here.

Anaheim Resident Ticket Offer

Anaheim residents can visit Disneyland during the final weeks of the “Celebrate Happy” promotion or the first weeks of Halloween Time for as little as $71 with an offer released in honor of Disneyland’s 71st anniversary.

The Anaheim Resident Ticket Offer is on sale now, and is valid for visits from July 20 through October 8, 2026. The one-day, one-park ticket offers admission to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure for just $71 per person, ages 3 and older. You can upgrade this ticket to a one-day park-hopper ticket for $33 more, and also add Lightning Lane Multi Pass for an additional fee.

The catch is that you need to be a resident of the city of Anaheim to take advantage of this offer. Tickets may be purchased online starting July 16. Your payment method must have an Anaheim address in zip codes 92801 through 92809, 92812, 92814 through 92817, 92825, 92850 and 92899.

We also want to note that the terms and conditions state, “Sales may be paused or terminated at any time.” In 2024, Disney ended sales of the Anaheim resident ticket two weeks prior to the official end of the promotion, so we recommend purchasing the tickets as early as you can to avoid disappointment.

Eligible residents can purchase up to eight (8) tickets per person, per day, but each person who uses a ticket must show proof of residency in an eligible zip code. An Anaheim resident is not permitted to purchase tickets on behalf of others who are not Anaheim residents. This means everyone in your party (18 and older) should come prepared to show proof of residency in the eligible ZIP codes to use this promotional offer.
