Disneyland breaks ground on new parking hub

The multi-year expansion of the Disneyland Resort took a big step forward last week when resort President Jill Estorino joined in the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new parking and transportation hub to the east of the theme parks.
The 6,000-space structure will connect to the Disneyland Resort via a pedestrian bridge over Harbor Blvd. Earlier concept art of this bridge has been updated to reflect a new covering for the walkway. There will also be a new security screening area, shuttle stop and rideshare areas.

Disney says the new transportation hub is the “first step in our next phase of construction, creating the infrastructure necessary to prepare for future growth and to welcome more guests as new experiences are added.”
New ticket discount for D23 Gold members

D23 Gold Members can save 5% off the gate price when they purchase one of these ticket options using a new exclusive offer available on the D23 website:
- Standard Theme Park Ticket, One Day Park Hopper Ticket
- Standard Theme Park Ticket, Multi-Day Park Hopper Ticket
- Standard Theme Park Ticket, Multi-Day One Park Per Day Ticket
Gold members can also get 5% off the Lightning Lane add-on for any Disneyland tickets purchased through this offer.
The offer expires December 30, 2026. One-day tickets must be used by December 31, 2026. Multi-day tickets must be used within 13 days of first use or by January 12, 2027, whichever occurs first. Theme park reservations are required.
We should note that, as with most discounts, this offer may be canceled or changed at any time. If you’re looking to take advantage of this offer, it’s probably a good idea to purchase tickets as soon as your travel plans are confirmed, and definitely before the expected ticket price increase in October.
Note: this offer is valid only for D23 Gold Members. D23 General Members are not eligible. Visit the D23 website for a list of other discounts available to D23 Gold and General members at the Disneyland Resort.
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort
Halloween Time has just kicked off at the Disneyland Resort, but already the parks are looking ahead to the holiday season. Disneyland last week released new details about the upcoming Holidays at Disneyland Resort promotion, and there are a few changes from prior years.
World of Color – Season of Light returns to Disney California Adventure

After skipping the 2025 season in favor of the 75th anniversary World of Color Happiness, the holiday edition is back for 2026. World of Color – Season of Light was introduced in 2016, and features a mix of classic and contemporary holiday songs accompanied by images from Disney animated films and shorts.
Though reservations will not open for another two weeks, and Disneyland did not specifically mention them, we’re going to make the safe guess and assume both the World of Color Dessert Party and the World of Color Dinner package will be offered for World of Color – Season of Light when it returns on November 13, 2026.
Santa moves to Mickey’s Toontown

We were intrigued to see that Santa will have a new meet-and-greet location in Toontown this year. The relocation is necessary due to Bluey’s Best day Ever! moving into the Fantasyland Theater this spring. Santa has met fans in many locations at Disneyland over the years, including Main Street, U.S.A., Pooh Corner and Big Thunder Ranch. Disney says Santa’s new digs will be in the Mickey’s Toontown Trolley Barn, near Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin.
Over at Disney California Adventure, Santa will return to his traditional location in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, and will pay a visit to each of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels.
Final week for $50 kids ticket offer

Disneyland’s Kids’ Summer Ticket Offer ends this week, and surprisingly as of press time tickets were still available for all remaining dates, including Labor Day. You can purchase the ticket online from our travel partners at Get Away Today or call 1-855-GET-AWAY, and be sure to mention you saw them on MousePlanet.
Madame Leota’s Rocking Wake

Like many Halloween fans, we were definitely disappointed when Disney announced that the Frightfully Fun Parade would not be part of Oogie Boogie Bash in 2026. Instead, Disney announced “Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Disney Street Party” would debut at the event. We were skeptical that a scaled-down seance could replace the popular parade, but then the party hit the streets and it’s far better than we ever expected. We caught both performances on the opening night of Oogie Boogie Bash, and were blown away by the performance.
The best Disney productions have a great soundtrack, and this street party is no exception. The song has a jazzy retro vibe and fun lyrics, perfect for a Halloween party. (Disney has not released the song, but you can find a cover of it on YouTube, and we hope Disney posts the original to one of the streaming services before Halloween.)

There are four floats in total, each with an iconic scene from the Haunted Mansion. They appear in the same order as you would experience the scenes in the attraction, starting with the stretching room portraits. The floats are surprisingly detailed, so be sure to look at the front and back.
Our favorite float was the Bride from the attic, the third unit of the street party. Since this parade makes three show stops as it travels the performance corridor, it’s important to get a good spot to see the show stop. We watched both parades on opening night, and share our suggestion for how to get the best view of the street party in this video from our Facebook page.
The music is a bop and the floats are better than we expected, but what really makes this street party are the performers. The dancers are truly phenomenal, and the energy they bring to the choreography is intense. This may be a theme park cavalcade, but the dancers are out there performing like it’s opening night on Broadway, and it makes all the difference. If you have plans to attend Oogie Boogie Bash this year, it’s worth making time to watch this street party at least once,.

Oogie Boogie Bash sales “swing” up
At press time, tickets were still available for just 4 Oogie Boogie Bash events, all in September. The remaining October nights sold out last week. The last four available dates are September 3, 8, 10 and 15. The D23-exclusive event on September 27 is also currently still available, but as it is the only Sunday option still available, we expect it may sell out this week.

We can’t prove what caused this sudden upswing in ticket sales, but comments from MousePlanet readers on social media indicate that photos and videos of Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake may just have been enough to push buyers over the edge. Several people also said that seeing reports from friends who attended the first events prompted a sense of “FOMO,” or fear of missing out.
If you are still seeking tickets for one of the sold-out nights, you can book the Oogie Boogie Bash VIP Tour. This experience includes admission to the event for up to 8 guests, expedited entrance to attractions and entertainment during the event, a VIP lounge experience, and added perks and amenities. 2026 tours start at $7500; call (714) 300-7710 for details.
We will continue to track ticket sales each week until the event sells out.
This and That
…The Main Street Cinema has reopened in Disneyland. The tiny theater once again shows Mickey Mouse cartoons, but now in the updated “New Mickey Mouse” style by animator Paul Rudish.
…The walkway between Avengers Campus and Cars Land reopened this weekend. The passage had been closed due to the Avengers Campus expansion.
…Also in Avengers Campus, a new plaque honoring legendary Marvel comics artist Jack Kirby was unveiled last week.
…Though the Wondrous Journeys projection show continued beyond the official conclusion of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration, the Disneyland website now says “Wondrous Journeys has concluded for the 2026 season.”
…At press time all dates were still available for the Anaheim resident ticket offer. The one-day, one-park ticket offers admission to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure for just $71 per person, ages 3 and older, for visits from July 20 through October 8, 2026. You can find all details, including residency requirements, at this link.
…At press time, all four tiers of Magic Key passes are still available for new purchase and renewal.

What's the @Disneyland advice you routinely ignore? I'll go first: Popular advice says to visit Fantasyland first thing, so you can do it all before it gets crowded. And that's GREAT advice if you're traveling with very young children who won't last past fireworks. (1/2) pic.twitter.com/04w8p1fJYW

- “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” – returns to Disneyland starting November 13, 2026.
We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.
Tickets, Discounts and Promotions
Disneyland prices as of October 8, 2025.
Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!
This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.
Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

Kids’ Summer Ticket Offer
Children ages 3 to 9 visit can Disneyland and Disney California Adventure for as low as $50 per day between May 22 and September 7, 2026. Disney also has 2-day and 3-day version of this ticket, as well as the option to add Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Pricing is as follows:
- 1-day Park Hopper ticket – $50
- 1-day Park Hopper ticket with Lightning Lane Multi Pass – $84
- 2-day Park Hopper ticket – $100
- 2-day Park Hopper ticket with Lightning Lane Multi Pass – $168
- 3-day Park Hopper ticket – $150
- 3-day Park Hopper ticket with Lightning Lane Multi Pass – $252
Tickets are on sale now. You must make theme park reservation to use this ticket, and will be prompted to select your dates at the time of purchase. You can make reservations up to 240 days in advance. Fortunately, Disneyland has just released their full 2026 Event and Festival calendar so you can be ready to make reservations for the events you want to attend.
You can change your dates later, but Disney will set aside only a limited number of reservations for this ticket type each day and so you may not be able to get the dates you want later. As with the prior offer, the terms state, “reservation availability for Kids’ Special Offer Ticket holders is not guaranteed for any date, and reservations may be difficult to get for any particular date, especially as the ticket expiration date approaches.”
Anaheim Resident Ticket Offer
Anaheim residents can visit Disneyland during the final weeks of the “Celebrate Happy” promotion or the first weeks of Halloween Time for as little as $71 with an offer released in honor of Disneyland’s 71st anniversary.
The Anaheim Resident Ticket Offer is on sale now, and is valid for visits from July 20 through October 8, 2026. The one-day, one-park ticket offers admission to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure for just $71 per person, ages 3 and older. You can upgrade this ticket to a one-day park-hopper ticket for $33 more, and also add Lightning Lane Multi Pass for an additional fee.
The catch is that you need to be a resident of the city of Anaheim to take advantage of this offer. Tickets may be purchased online starting July 16. Your payment method must have an Anaheim address in zip codes 92801 through 92809, 92812, 92814 through 92817, 92825, 92850 and 92899.
We also want to note that the terms and conditions state, “Sales may be paused or terminated at any time.” In 2024, Disney ended sales of the Anaheim resident ticket two weeks prior to the official end of the promotion, so we recommend purchasing the tickets as early as you can to avoid disappointment.
Eligible residents can purchase up to eight (8) tickets per person, per day, but each person who uses a ticket must show proof of residency in an eligible zip code. An Anaheim resident is not permitted to purchase tickets on behalf of others who are not Anaheim residents. This means everyone in your party (18 and older) should come prepared to show proof of residency in the eligible ZIP codes to use this promotional offer.
