Disneyland Resort Update for June 8, 2026

All-day park hopping returns this week

All-day park hopping is back as of this Tuesday, June 9, meaning visitors with park hopper tickets or Magic Keys no longer have to wait until 11:00 a.m. to change parks.

All visitors must still make theme park reservations in advance of their visit, and must still choose a starting park for the day, though those with park hopper tickets or Magic Keys can enter either park when they arrive.

It is still possible for first-entry or park-hopping to be restricted at one park or the other based on capacity limits, but it’s been quite a while since we’ve seen those restrictions in place. For better or worse, that is one of the benefits of the much-maligned reservation system.

Oogie Boogie Bash – more nights and a new street party

Disneyland released more details about fan-favorite Halloween Time activities for 2026, including on-sale dates and an entertainment update for the popular Oogie Boogie Bash. Keep reading below for details about the after-hours party, and then check out this article for more Halloween Time news.

Oogie Boogie Bash expands to 32 public nights in 2026, one more than in 2025. There is also an exclusive “D23 Night” on Sunday September 27; scroll down for details.

New for this year is “Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party”. Yes, it’s a bit odd that an event held inside Disney California Adventure will feature entertainment based on a Disneyland attraction, but let’s roll with it for now. (Especially considering the Haunted Mansion will be in the middle of the annual Nightmare Before Christmas overlay at the time). Per Disney, “the new street party will feature multiple show-stopping moments for Madame Leota to host her spirited séance and swinging wake filled with happy haunts, ghostly dancing, and ghoulish delight, inviting you to partake in a ghastly good time that beckons all 999 ghosts.”

We were also glad to note that Villains Grove will return for 2026, as will the nighttime ride of the Headless Horseman.

2026 dates and pricing

The price for the 2026 event range from $139 to $199 per person, depending on date. This is the same price range as in 2025.

Inspire Magic Key holders will have the first chance to purchase tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash, followed by all Magic Key holders and then the general public. The on-sale dates are:

• Inspire Magic Key holders – June 16
• All Magic Key holders – June 17
• General public – June 18

Tickets go on sale no earlier than 9:00 a.m. Pacific each day.

For those who want to splurge, Disney will again offer the Oogie Boogie Bash dessert party each night. Pricing and reservation details have not been released.

Starting August 30, guests can experience the Oogie Boogie Bash VIP Tour at a (much higher) extra cost.

D23 Night at Oogie Boogie Bash

D23 members and their guests have exclusive access to the Oogie Boogie Bash on Sunday, September 27.

Members will also have the opportunity to purchase event-exclusive pins for the event. A link to purchase these pins will be sent to ticket purchasers at a later date.

Tickets for D23 Members go on sale June 16, 2026 no earlier than 9:00 a.m., with a waiting room opening an approximately 8:45 a.m.

Each General or Gold D23 member may purchase up to 8 tickets for the event. Guests of a D23 member do not need to be members to attend the event. The member MUST attend and show proof of D23 membership, or their guests will not be permitted to attend the event.

Entertainment notes

Though Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration officially ends on August 9, two nighttime spectaculars will remain on the entertainment schedule a bit longer. Wondrous Journeys and Paint the Night will perform August 10-20, 2026, up until the official start of Halloween Time on August 21.

“World of Color – ONE” will replace “World of Color Happiness” starting August 10, and remain through the Halloween season. We hope this means “World of Color – Season of Light” will return for the winter holidays.

Refurbishment updates

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters has been closed for refurbishment since April 13, and is now scheduled to reopen June 12. The Little Green Men Store Command gift shop at the attraction’s exit reopened last week

King Arthur Carrousel closed Sunday, July 6 for a brief refurbishment. The ride is now scheduled to reopen July 17, just in time for Disneyland’s anniversary.

Grad Nites conclude this week

The final two Grad Nite events of 2026 are scheduled this Wednesday and Friday, June 10 and 12.

If you happen to visit on a Grad Nite, keep in mind that Disney California Adventure will close to the public at 9:00 p.m., and you’ll only have one chance to catch World of Color Happiness! on event nights. We recommend starting your day in Disney California Adventure, and then hopping over to Disneyland by mid-afternoon as the grads arrive. Disneyland closes at midnight on Grad Nites this week, so you’ll have a couple of grad-free hours in that park after the party begins in DCA.

• A new two-story club lounge is planned for the Grand Californian Hotel, and will be constructed on the 5th and 6th floors overlooking the grand lobby.
• Guest room renovations will take place in phases through the fall.

• Steakhouse 55 – permanently closed. The lobby bar has reopened as the Broken Spell Lounge.

We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.

This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.

Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

Kids’ Summer Ticket Offer

Children ages 3 to 9 visit can Disneyland and Disney California Adventure for as low as $50 per day between May 22 and September 7, 2026. Disney also has 2-day and 3-day version of this ticket, as well as the option to add Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Pricing is as follows:

Tickets are on sale now. You must make theme park reservation to use this ticket, and will be prompted to select your dates at the time of purchase. You can make reservations up to 240 days in advance. Fortunately, Disneyland has just released their full 2026 Event and Festival calendar so you can be ready to make reservations for the events you want to attend.

You can change your dates later, but Disney will set aside only a limited number of reservations for this ticket type each day and so you may not be able to get the dates you want later. As with the prior offer, the terms state, “reservation availability for Kids’ Special Offer Ticket holders is not guaranteed for any date, and reservations may be difficult to get for any particular date, especially as the ticket expiration date approaches.”

2026-2027 1-day Military Ticket offer

This new ticket offers eligible service members and their families Tier 0 pricing on one-day tickets any day of the year through the end of 2027. At current pricing, this offer represents a savings of to $120 off a Tier 6 day.

This ticket is different from the new 2026 offer, in that it is valid November 18, 2025 through December 31, 2027, subject to park reservation availability

The ticket is valid for admission January 8 through June 12, 2026. This ticket has a 13-day “fuse,” which means you must use the second admission date within 13 days of your first visit, (or on June 12, 2026, whichever occurs first). Theme park reservations are required for each admission.
