D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event tickets on sale this week

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event presented by Visa, returns to Southern California August 14, 15, and 16, 2026, with events at the Anaheim Convention Center and Honda Center. Disney last week released information about the for the 2026 ticketing process, and tickets go on sale this week.
We have all of the detailed information you need, including pricing and seating charts, in our article 2026 D23 Ticket Details & Dates, but here are the highlights:
You must be a D23 Gold Member to purchase tickets
In the past, all D23 members – including those with the free General membership – could purchase tickets to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. This year only those who have a D23 Gold membership can purchase tickets. Each Gold Member may purchase tickets for themselves and up to five (5) guests (six [6] tickets total). Guests of D23 Gold Members do not need to be D23 Gold Members themselves to attend.
D23 Gold memberships start at $49.99 per year, though Disney+ subscribers can receive a complimentary D23 Gold Membership through the Disney+ Perks program.
It can take time for a D23 membership to become active in the system, so we recommend that those who need to purchase or upgrade a membership do so by March 31.
One-sale dates and times are based on your membership tier
- D23 Gold Charter Members get the first priority to purchase tickets during an exclusive 24-hour pre-sale window beginning Tuesday, March 31, at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET.
- D23 Gold Members with Essential, Choice, and Complete plans can purchase tickets starting Thursday, April 2, at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET.
- All other D23 Gold Members, such as those with the Disney+ Perks membership, will be able to join the queue to purchase tickets starting at 12 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 2.
New this year, Disney says that “D23 Gold Members who are unable to purchase tickets may join a limited-time wait-list after ticket sales close. Due to limited availability, tickets are not guaranteed.”
There is a new ticket option
In addition to the 1-day and 3-day passes available in 2024, Disney announced a new $49 1-day, afternoon-only pass which grants admission to the exhibit floor and activities at the Anaheim Convention Center.
- D23 Fan Pass (Anaheim Convention Center only), available for $49 (Afternoon Only), $99 (1‑Day), or $297 (3‑Day)
- D23 Ultimate Fan Pass, which includes access to both the Anaheim Convention Center and the Honda Center showcases, with pricing beginning at $99 for a 1‑Day and $297 for a 3‑Day package
- The D23 Ultimate Preferred Fan Pass delivers three days of floor seating at the Honda Center, three days of Anaheim Convention Center access, and exclusive Random Selection Process (RSP) opportunities for select limited-edition pins, with pricing ranging from $1,299 to $2,599 depending on location.
Note that each ticket is subject to a $11.25 service fee, and each transaction is subject to an additional $16 delivery fee.
ART ends service this Wednesday

We shared in February that the Anaheim Transportation Network (ATN), a service which operates shuttle bus service throughout the Anaheim Resort District, had announced it would “wind down” operations by March 31, 2026 due to persistent budget shortfalls. That date is upon us, and for many visitors their Disneyland vacation will look different starting Wednesday.
ATN operates the Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) program, which provides transportation between many Disneyland-area hotels and the park’s main entrance, as well as extended service to Anaheim destinations. In its 2025-2026 budget proposal, the network claimed annual ridership of 9.2 million passengers.
The majority of that traffic was carrying riders between the Toy Story parking lot and the Disneyland Resort. Disneyland has said that there will be continued shuttle service for the Toy Story lot once ART halts operations, but thus far has not released any additional information about that service.
However, since the late 1990s thousands of Disneyland visitors relied on ART busses for transportation between the theme parks and their Resort area hotels in Anaheim and Garden Grove, and many chose their hotel based on access to that service. ART made it easier for families to stay at more affordable hotels a little further away, and to save money on car rental and parking fees.
As we shared last week, the City of Garden Grove and the Garden Grove Tourism Improvement District have unveiled their plans for a new service to provide shuttles between 10 Garden Grove hotels and the Disneyland Resort. That service begins this week, and we hope the transition is seamless for guests of those hotels.
But so far there is no such offering for Anaheim hotels on the soon-to-be-disbanded ART routes. When visitors pick a hotel for their Disneyland vacation, proximity to the theme parks is a major consideration. A 20-minute walk to the parks from your hotel in the morning feels completely different when you’re heading back at night, possibly with an armload of tired children.
An article in Sunday’s Orange County Register notes that Orange County Transportation Authority bus routes shadow “75% of ATN’s routes, with the remaining of the soon-to-be-extinct routes within walking distance of existing OC Bus stops.” Ride share is also a popular option, though the Harbor drop-off lot is already so congested that any significant increase in usage may result in gridlock.
Refurbishment updates

There are two new refurbishments to note this week. The Disneyland Monorail and Roger Rabbit’s Cartoon Spin both close as of Monday, March 30. Disney has not released the reopening date for either attraction.

Pirates of the Caribbean and the Blue Bayou Restaurant are new additions to the refurbishment calendar. Both close on May 4, and do not have estimated reopening dates.
2026 Disney Legends Award honorees announced

The Disney Legends Award ceremony is a highlight of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan event, and last week Disney announced the 13 people who will be honored on the final afternoon of the 2026 event.
We have the full official biographies for each nominee in this article on MousePlanet.
Grad Nite season is coming
The first Grad Nite event of the 2026 season is around the corner, on Friday, May 8. After that there are two to three events each week through June 12. Grad Nite is an annual tradition for many high schools within driving distance of the Disneyland Resort, and the events cause some operational changes that you should know about if you’re vacationing during this period.
Participating groups again had three ticket options for 2026. Many schools come just for the after-hours private party inside Disney California Adventure, which closes to the public at 9:00 p.m. each event night. Other schools opt to spend the day at Disney California Adventure, and then stay for the private grad nite event
Some students splurge on a ticket that includes park-hopper access to both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks during regular operating hours, and then head to their private party in Disney California Adventure at 9:00 p.m..
Schools that booked packages with theme park admission can choose to arrive whenever they wish during their Grad Nite event. Some arrive right at park opening to maximize their time, while others arrive later due to travel time or other activities. Expect heavier arrival traffic in the Toy Story parking lot, which is where school buses now park. You should also expect to see the parks grow increasingly crowded as the day goes on and more students arrive.
Beware: Formal Grad Nites are not the only times that the Disneyland Resort is crowded with student groups. These last weeks of school are popular times for class trips, something that Disney actively encourages through special pricing and activities for school groups. Those visits won’t appear on any calendar, but are a fact of Disney life during this season
With so many schools on year-round calendars now, you should consider the period between March and mid-June as one big, hazy spring-break-into-graduation season at the Disneyland Resort. So while the Grad Nite calendar can give you an idea of when the most high school seniors will be on property, there’s no way to know when a school district from Central California is sending its ninth graders for their own promotion celebration.
If you’re planning a visit during this period, be sure to consult the schedule of Grad Nite dates so you can plan appropriately. For 2026, Grad Nite events are held on May 8, 12, 13, 15, 17, 20, 21, 28, 29 & 31; June 3, 5, 7, 10 & 12. At press time, all but two of the events are sold out.
If you happen to visit on a Grad Nite, don’t despair. Just keep in mind that Disney California Adventure does close to the public at 9:00 p.m., and you’ll only have one chance to catch World of Color Happiness! on event nights. If the World of Color show isn’t a priority for you, we recommend starting your day in Disney California Adventure, and then hopping over to Disneyland by mid-afternoon as the grads arrive. Disneyland closes at 11 p.m. or Midnight on Grad Nites, so you’ll have a couple of grad-free hours in that park after the party begins in DCA
Now, if you or your grad happen to be going to Grad Nite, be sure to download the Disneyland app, which contains the digital guide to the after-hours party. You can find special entertainment, character greetings and food offerings on the app.

We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.
Tickets, Discounts and Promotions
Disneyland prices as of October 8, 2025.
Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!
This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.
Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

California Resident Park Hopper Ticket
The California Resident Park Hopper ticket is $249, a savings of more than 50% when compared to the new price ($526) of a 3-day park hopper ticket. The ticket is valid for all ages 3 and older, for visits between January 1 through May 21, 2026.
Theme park reservations are required to use this ticket, and we strongly recommend making them as soon as you purchase the ticket so you have the best selection of dates.
The best news is that there is no “fuse” on this ticket, and no blockout dates. You can space out your visits to catch the holiday decorations and entertainment at Disneyland before they end on January 7, return in February for the Lunar New Year celebration, and visit one more time to enjoy the Food & Wine Festival.
It is really important to note that everyone purchasing and/or using the ticket must be a resident of California. This means you can’t purchase them for out-of-state friends and family, and everyone over the age of 18 should be prepared to show government-issued photo ID at entry.

You can change your dates later, but Disney will set aside only a limited number of reservations for this ticket type each day and so you may not be able to get the dates you want later. As with the prior offer, the terms state, “reservation availability for Kids’ Special Offer Ticket holders is not guaranteed for any date, and reservations may be difficult to get for any particular date, especially as the ticket expiration date approaches.”
