Ultimate Sports Fan Giveaway: Super Bowl LXI + Disneyland Resort
Fans can win an exclusive trip to Super Bowl LXI and a Disneyland Resort vacation package in a new “We’re Going to the Super Bowl” Sweepstakes announced last week by ESPN.

As part of the network’s ongoing Year of the Super Bowl campaign, ESPN kicked off a new “We’re Going to the Super Bowl” sweepstakes, offering fans a chance to win prizes including an ultimate Super Bowl package. The grand prize is 4 tickets to Super Bowl LXI, plus a three-night Disneyland Resort vacation package.
“We’re excited to team up with ESPN and give one lucky fan and their guests a visit that pairs the excitement of the Super Bowl with a stay at Disneyland Resort,” said Annika Chase, Senior Vice President of Commercial Strategy, Disneyland Resort. “It’s a great way to turn one of the biggest weekends in sports into a family memory that lasts well beyond the game.”

Winners will receive a three-night stay at the Disneyland Resort February 12-14, 2027, 3-day park hopper tickets for themselves and three guests, plus a chance to experience the Super Bowl Champions Cavalcade at Disneyland the Monday following the big game.
(For those who don’t want to rely on luck for a chance to see the Champions Cavalcade, Super Bowl LXI is on Sunday February 14, 2027. The cavalcade will take place on Monday, February 15, which is the federal Presidents’ Day holiday. Theme park reservations are already available for regular ticket holders. Magic Key holders can make theme park reservations starting Monday November 16, 2026.)

To enter, visit the sweepstakes website, and complete the entry form. You can enter anytime until December 31, 2026, but there is a limit of one entry per person. Find the complete eligibility requirements, terms, conditions and contest rules at the sweepstakes website.
ESPN will give away additional prizes in the run-up to their first Super Bowl production. Look for opportunities to win via Disney+ Perks, ESPN’s Andscape social media platform, and ABC daytime and late-night programming, including Live with Kelly and Mark, Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel Live!
You’ve been chosen for a special ticket offer!

If you’ve received an email from Disney with that subject line recently, don’t delete it! It’s not spam, and it could save you more than 50% off tickets for a Disneyland visit before December 18, 2026.
Through this rare deal, recipients can purchase a 1-day Disneyland park-hopper ticket for $149, valid any day from September 10 through December 18. This price is valid for ages 3 and older, and can represent huge savings vs the regular cost of the same ticket, which runs $179 to $314 depending on date.
This targeted email contains a unique PIN required to redeem the offer, and is non-transferable. The recipient can purchase up to five tickets at a time, and can use the same PIN up to three times.
If you’ve double-checked your email and did not receive this offer, you can still find savings for your next trip to Anaheim. Bluey’s Best Day Ever moves to seasonal schedule

In a Southern California tradition as reliable as heat waves and pumpkin-spice everything, Labor Day has brought the return of the seasonal entertainment schedule to Disneyland. Locals are used to seeing the major entertainment offerings move to a shortened schedule until the holiday crowds return, and this year the new Bluey’s Best Day Ever show in the Fantasyland Theater is following suit.
The show opened in March, drawing large crowds eager to see the Heeler family in their big Disneyland debut. At first, there were five performances daily, and the show alternated between two storylines. In recent weeks, readers have complained that only one of the stories was presented.
Through September 27, Bluey’s Best Day Ever is performed only Friday – Sunday. Starting September 28, the show begins a new 5-day-a-week performance schedule, with five shows each day Friday through Monday. We don’t yet know if Disney will return to the alternating show format, but we’ll look into it.
Pool closures at the Paradise Pier Hotel

A heat wave isn’t a great time to find out your hotel pool is closed, but that’s what guests of Disney’s Pixar Place Hotel faced last week, as the Pixel Pool, the Paradise Spa, Crush’s Surfin’ Slide and the splash pad all closed September 8 for refurbishment.
The pool and spa are scheduled to reopen by Sunday, September 20, with the slide and splash pad reopening on September 26.

However, that does not mean that a pool break is off the table. When Disney closes the pool at one hotel, guests of that property usually have access to the pool area of another resort hotel, and we have confirmed that is the case here. For Monday, September 14, guests who have booked rooms at the Pixar Place Hotel will be shuttled to the Disneyland Hotel for access to their pool area, including the Monorail water slides.
From September 15 through 19, guests will be shuttled to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa for pool access, including the 90-foot-long water slide at the Redwood pool.
One last chance to Boogie in 2026

All public Oogie Boogie Bash events have sold out for 2026, but there is still a way to get tickets for one final night. Tickets are still available to the D23-exclusive event on Sunday, September 27. We reported last week that you must be a D23 Gold (paid) member to purchase tickets to this exclusive event. Either we were incorrect (which has happened), or D23 expanded the sale to all D23 members, including those with the free “General” membership.
Whatever the case, if you’re not already a D23 member you can quickly join the club, and then purchase tickets for the members-only bash. Tickets are $169 per person, and are available on the event website.
If you are still seeking tickets for one of the sold-out nights, you can book the Oogie Boogie Bash VIP Tour. This experience includes admission to the event for up to 8 guests, expedited entrance to attractions and entertainment during the event, a VIP lounge experience, and added perks and amenities. 2026 tours start at $7500; call (714) 300-7710 for details.
Minnie and Friends Breakfast in the Park to reopen early

The popular Minnie and Friends – Breakfast in the Park has been on hiatus since August 17, with the Disneyland website had been showing an expected reopening of October 3. That appears to have updated last week, and the restaurant is now accepting reservations for the character meal starting next Sunday, September 20.
We don’t know why the breakfast was on hiatus while the restaurant itself remained open for lunch and dinner, but readers have reported that Plaza Inn had suddenly switched to using paper plates and plastic cutlery. We hope that was a temporary issue, and that service on real plates with real silverware returns with the characters.
Anaheim Ducks announce Disneyland Resort as official helmet logo sponsor
Disney may have sold the Anaheim Ducks two decades ago, but recent years have shown there is a good relationship between the resort and the team. Disney has hosted Anaheim Ducks Day(s) at Disney California Adventure since 2019, and Ducks fans are used to seeing Disneyland logos on the screens and dasher boards around the Honda Center.

Now fans will see the Disneyland logo every time they look at an Anaheim Ducks player, as the resort was recently announced to be the official helmet logo sponsor for the Ducks’ 2026-2027 NHL season. The team will wear the logo at practices, in games, and (we can only hope) into the Stanley Cup playoffs.
“The Anaheim Ducks are more than a hometown team, they are woven into the fabric of our community,” said Disneyland Resort President Jill Estorino. “We’re honored to continue our partnership with an organization that shares our commitment to bringing people together for unforgettable experiences.”
The Disneyland Resort will also serve as the presenting sponsor of an Anaheim Ducks home game during the upcoming season.
This and That
…Disneyland has demolished four more of the main esplanade ticket booths, as the resort prepares to build a new pedestrian bridge over Harbor Blvd. that will carry visitors arriving from a brand-new parking structure planned for the east side of the resort. Another bank of ticket booths was demolished last year to make room for the new Porto’s Bakery under construction in Downtown Disney.
…Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition has been closed for refurbishment since July 6, and reopened last Friday, September 11. There had been rumors that the attraction would become cashless, relying on a new tap-to-pay system, but you can still load two quarters and “empty the gun.”
…Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island is closed this Monday through Wednesday.

…Mad Tea Party is now closed for refurbishment. Disney has not announced an expected reopening date.

…The Magic Key Missed Keepsakes Giveaway event begins this week. The second-chance giveaway runs select days September 14 through 26. You can read complete details on our website.
…At press time all dates were still available for the Anaheim resident ticket offer. The one-day, one-park ticket offers admission to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure for just $71 per person, ages 3 and older, for visits from July 20 through October 8, 2026. You can find all details, including residency requirements, at this link.
…At press time, all four tiers of Magic Key passes are still available for new purchase and renewal.

Resort Events
Check here to see if a large convention, competition, or park event might fall during your next trip to the Disneyland Resort. If you know of any in-park events, official or unofficial, that should be listed here, please send us an e-mail.
2026
- Oogie Boogie Bash – August 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, 30; September 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27, 29; October 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29, 31. All nights are sold out. Additional details are available on our website.

- Plaza de la Familia – August 21 through November 2, 2026.
- Gay Days [Unofficial event] – September 18-20, 2026. Details on the event website.
- Pumpkins and Pancakes at Naples Ristorante e Bar in Downtown Disney – October 18, 25 and 31. Registration is now open—book online via the Patina Group website.
- The Holidays at Disneyland – November 13, 2026 through January 6, 2027.
- “Believe…In Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular – returns to Disneyland starting November 13, 2026.
- “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” – returns to Disneyland starting November 13, 2026.
- Breakfast with Santa at at Naples Ristorante e Bar in Downtown Disney – select dates starting November 28. Registration is now open—book online via the Patina Group website.
We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.
Tickets, Discounts and Promotions
Disneyland prices as of October 8, 2025.
Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!
This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.
Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

| One Day – Tier 2 | $149 | $139 | $80 |
| One Day – Tier 3 | $169 | $159 | $90 |
| One Day – Tier 4 | $184 | $174 | $90 |
| One Day – Tier 5 | $199 | $189 | $100 |

Anaheim Resident Ticket Offer
Anaheim residents can visit Disneyland during the final weeks of the “Celebrate Happy” promotion or the first weeks of Halloween Time for as little as $71 with an offer released in honor of Disneyland’s 71st anniversary.
The Anaheim Resident Ticket Offer is on sale now, and is valid for visits from July 20 through October 8, 2026. The one-day, one-park ticket offers admission to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure for just $71 per person, ages 3 and older. You can upgrade this ticket to a one-day park-hopper ticket for $33 more, and also add Lightning Lane Multi Pass for an additional fee.
The catch is that you need to be a resident of the city of Anaheim to take advantage of this offer. Tickets may be purchased online starting July 16. Your payment method must have an Anaheim address in zip codes 92801 through 92809, 92812, 92814 through 92817, 92825, 92850 and 92899.
We also want to note that the terms and conditions state, “Sales may be paused or terminated at any time.” In 2024, Disney ended sales of the Anaheim resident ticket two weeks prior to the official end of the promotion, so we recommend purchasing the tickets as early as you can to avoid disappointment.
Eligible residents can purchase up to eight (8) tickets per person, per day, but each person who uses a ticket must show proof of residency in an eligible zip code. An Anaheim resident is not permitted to purchase tickets on behalf of others who are not Anaheim residents. This means everyone in your party (18 and older) should come prepared to show proof of residency in the eligible ZIP codes to use this promotional offer.
D23 Gold Member Discount
D23 Gold Members can save 5% off the gate price when they purchase one of these ticket options using a new exclusive offer available on the D23 website:
- Standard Theme Park Ticket, One Day Park Hopper Ticket
- Standard Theme Park Ticket, Multi-Day Park Hopper Ticket
- Standard Theme Park Ticket, Multi-Day One Park Per Day Ticket
Gold members can also get 5% off the Lightning Lane add-on for any Disneyland tickets purchased through this offer.
The offer expires December 30, 2026. One-day tickets must be used by December 31, 2026. Multi-day tickets must be used within 13 days of first use or by January 12, 2027, whichever occurs first. Theme park reservations are required.
We should note that, as with most discounts, this offer may be canceled or changed at any time. If you’re looking to take advantage of this offer, it’s probably a good idea to purchase tickets as soon as your travel plans are confirmed, and definitely before the expected ticket price increase in October.
Note: this offer is valid only for D23 Gold Members. D23 General Members are not eligible. Visit the D23 website for a list of other discounts available to D23 Gold and General members at the Disneyland Resort.
