Disneyland offers Lyft discount for Good Neighbor Hotels
The collapse of the Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) shuttle bus service in March left dozens of Resort-area hotels without a transportation offering for their clients, and has visitors searching for another way to get to and from the theme parks.

As an alternative to driving to the Resort and paying $40 per day for parking, many visitors are turning to ride share services like Lyft and Uber to make the trip faster and easier.
Now Disneyland Resort visitors traveling to and from local Good Neighbor Hotels can take advantage of a new discount when they use the Lyft ride share service, Disneyland’s official ride share partner.
- New Lyft users can save 50% off two rides using the code 50MAGIC.
- Existing Lyft users can use code XL10 for 10% off one XL ride to the parks.
The promotion is valid now through September 8, 2026.
This offer is not a massive discount for existing Lyft customers, but it’s a good incentive for those who have never use the service before to try it out.

Both Lyft and Uber use the Disneyland Drop Off lot off of Harbor Blvd. for drop off and pick up. Fares depend on time of day and service requested. During a recent trip, we used Uber to and from The Viv Hotel in Anaheim, a trip of about a mile, and paid between $8 and $15 per trip. One major downside to ride share services is the lack of accessible vehicles for those who use wheelchairs. During our most recent visit, we were unable to book an accessible vehicle through either Lyft or Uber, despite both platforms stating that they had accessible vehicles available.
Ten Garden Grove area hotels banded together to launch the Grove District Transit service, and four hotels around the Anaheim Convention Center created their own “Anaheim Resort Campus” shuttle. Several other hotels offer their own dedicated shuttles, including the Candy Cane Inn, the Anaheim Majestic Hotel, the Hyatt Regency Orange County and the Howard Johnson and Holiday Inn Express hotels in Fullerton.
Even with these new services, nearly three dozen of the “Good Neighbor Hotels” located more than a half mile away from the Resort still do not have transportation for their visitors, leaving personal cars, rental cars and ride share the only option for getting around town. A small summertime discount on ride share services is a start, but Anaheim still needs a Resort-wide replacement for ART.
Disneyland Offers Incentive for Magic Key Renewals
It wasn’t that long ago that Disneyland Magic Keys were so in-demand that the company would periodically suspend sales on new annual passports. Disney raised the price of the two top-tier passes last October, and in January 2026 added a new tier.
Now the company is offering Magic Key holders an unheard-of bonus to renew their passes for another year.
Current Magic Key holders who renew their pass on time will receive a Disney Dining Card, up to a $100 value. The value of the card varies based on Magic Key tier renewal purchased:
- Inspire Key — $100
- Believe Key — $75
- Explore Key — $50
- Imagine Key — $25
This offer went into effect last week and is valid through May 26, 2027, though the terms and conditions state the offer is “subject to availability, change or cancellation without notice.” Note that the gift card is based on the renewal tier – if you currently have an Inspire Key and downgrade to an Imagine Key at renewal, you will receive the $25 gift card.
Currently, Disneyland Magic Keys are eligible for renewal up to 30 days prior to their expiration date. Passes cannot be renewed after the expiration date. This offer is not available on newly-purchased Magic Keys. The Enchant Key has been discontinued, and Magic Key holders with that level pass will need to renew to a different pass before their expiration date.
Disney says the promotional Dining Card will be emailed within 72 hours after renewal to the email address provided at renewal, and that the value of Disney Dining Card may not be applied toward the renewal. If you renew multiple passes at the same time, each person will receive their own gift card at the email address associated with their account. You must renew your pass online to receive this offer – the main entrance ticket booth can not issue the gift cards.
While we’ve never seen an offer exactly like this before, Disneyland had at times offered a discounted renewal price for Annual Passports. We also don’t know if this offer signals that Disneyland has finally started to see price resistance to the Magic Keys, and whether this will impact if, and by how much, prices go up during the next round of increases.
Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can still save up to 15% when renewing their Annual Pass for the Florida resort. As such, we don’t expect to see a similar offer for Walt Disney World, but anything is possible.
Disneyland seeking musicians and character look-alikes

If you play trumpet, trombone, sousaphone, alto saxophone or the drums, Disneyland may be looking for you to join their cast.
In June, Disney is holding auditions for performers to join the Disneyland Band, A Christmas Fantasy Parade and Holiday Toy Drummers.
The company is also looking for character look-alikes to fill the following roles: Tinker Bell, Cinderella, Isabela, Fairy Godmother, Snow White, Elsa, Tiana, Aurora, Moana, Mirabel, Peter Pan, Prince Naveen, Prince Phillip, Bruno and Aladdin. Auditions are in June and August.
All of the details are on the Disney auditions website.
Disneyland Resort hotels welcome summer with Dug’s Dance Party and more

Disneyland has announced more offerings for the Kids Rule Summer promotion, including a new Dug’s Dance Party at the Pixar Place Hotel. This nightly offering takes place on the hotel’s rooftop lawn on Friday nights in June – August.
The Disneyland Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel will also host outdoor movie nights twice each week from June through September. Finally, summer pool parties return to all three Disneyland Resort Hotels, with party hosts, music, games and even character appearances.
Unfortunately the Hotel Activities page on the Disneyland website is a bit out of date, and these events are not yet listed on the Daily Events Schedule, but you will get an updated activities list when you check in. Remember that these offerings are limited to registered guests of the Disneyland Resort hotels.
Disney on the Yard: Yardfest 2026

Yardfest returns to Downtown Disney on June 19, bringing the Texas Southern University Ocean of Soul Drumline to help “celebrate the spirit and traditions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) with drum majors, a lively drumline and Drum Major Mickey Mouse!”
The event takes place from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. near the Downtown Disney stage.
Yardfest 2026 kicks off Celebrate Soulfully: Summer Vibes. The month-long event includes “experiences that celebrate Black heritage and culture through music, food and art at the Disneyland Resort,” and runs June 19 through July 19.
During Celebrate Soulfully: Summer Vibes, a new series of “Summer Vibes Concerts in the Park” will be presented at Paradise Gardens Bandstand in Disney California Adventure Park on select days. (Check the entertainment schedule on the Disneyland website for details). On Fridays and Saturdays, Paradise Gardens will feature special character encounters and live variety acts.

Grad Nites continue this week
There are three Grad Nite events scheduled this week, on June 3, 5 and 7
If you happen to visit on a Grad Nite, keep in mind that Disney California Adventure will close to the public at 9:00 p.m., and you’ll only have one chance to catch World of Color Happiness! on event nights. We recommend starting your day in Disney California Adventure, and then hopping over to Disneyland by mid-afternoon as the grads arrive. Disneyland closes at midnight on Grad Nites this week, so you’ll have a couple of grad-free hours in that park after the party begins in DCA.
If you or your grad happen to be going to Grad Nite, be sure to download the Disneyland app, which contains the digital guide to the after-hours party. You can find special entertainment, character greetings and food offerings on the app.

We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.
Tickets, Discounts and Promotions
Disneyland prices as of October 8, 2025.
Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!
This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.
Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.
